Laurie did such an incredible job with my first time getting botox, I was kind of nervous, but she did a great job explaining every type of botox and which one would work best for my metabolism and what to expect over the next couple of days. The office is super cute and clean, with great parking right outside. I cannot wait to book my next appointment! She even discussed a timeline for maintenance and when to get other fillers before my wedding and even discussed options for sun damage for my skin that I was interested in hearing about. Dr Katie is the best medical esthetician I’ve been to. I have been in pain for about two years from severe jaw clenching/grinding. I tried everything. Biofeedback. Face yoga. "Being less stressed," whatever that means. I was pretty desperate for relief. Laurie Rodgers at Uptown Med Spa suggested Botox in my jaw muscles, and I figured it was worth a shot. In about three weeks (two sessions, because my masseter was beastly), I went from waking up every morning in throbbing pain--say an 8--to a 2. 5 weeks later? A zero. I wish I had known this was a solution sooner for teeth grinding. Botox is much cheaper than dental work, had the grinding continued unabated. (I went through 4 mouthguards a year.) I had forgotten what it was like to not be in chronic pain. I am thrilled. Laurie is fantastic--highly recommend! Anyone who holds tension in their jaw--this worked when nothing else did. Four million stars.
