Order two egusi with white fish got home and had one piece of fish and all turkey meat. Call to inform the owner, he was rude and I told him I will post the food on his page. His prices are highway robbery to be this inconsiderate of the drive I did to come to his place. I place what was left of the egusi on a plate which was more juice than anything just to take the picture of all this nasty meat. If turkey is use tell the customer instead of placing greed of our money over the customer being allergic or getting sick off of eating live stock. Don’t sell goat or beef or white fish and you get turkey pieces and skin fat. Do not patronize this place

My first time trying Nigerian cuisine and it’s as good as I anticipated! The moi moi was absolutely delicious and my favorite. I also got the vegetarian efo riro with a side of plantains — also very good!!! You gotta check this place out, I will definitely come back and try more of the dishes :)

This was by far some of the best African food I have had! So authentic, flavorful, and almost indescribable. The portions were very nice as well. I went 2 days in a row for my stay and took some home to all of my family on a 3 hour road trip. And I’d do it again & again. In secret next time bc I almost didn’t want to share lol. I’ll be back to try more of the menu! The owner was also very nice and customer service is everything to me. HIGHLY recommend if you want some great, authentic food!

In my humble opinion and based on experience so far, Bisi Restaurant is the best Nigerian restaurant in Illinois. Tasty and authentic Nigerian dishes. Excellent and friendly customer service. And the Meatpie! Masterpiece that transports me to Lagos city!

This was a hard rating to give. Food is 9 times out of 10 good! I come right before close so that may cause misunderstanding with the man upfront but I’ve been twice and he’s had aggression. First time he apologized though! Jolof rice had very few shrimp in it. No sit in! No bar !

Divine food, impeccable service, immaculate vibes! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday as it is a birthday tradition to get Nigerian food! Last year we had Nigerian in LA. The food is take out only at the moment but we were cool with that! The owner’s husband recommended a few things. We are both vegetarian. We ordered what he recommended! We waited outside, he kindly brought our food to us with 2 free waters! The food was hot, tasty, flavorful, authentic feeling! We both ate everything we ordered!! We loved the experience and highly recommend Bisi!

Phenomenal food with massive portions. And of course, friendly service. First but definitely not the last time to have Nigerian cuisine.

I’ve been eating here for three years now. Food is so flavorful and great portions. I love, love, love the egusi stew. It is not chicken noodle soup for ppl that aren’t too educated about African food. It’s a mix texture of stew/soup. This dish is traditionally eaten with hands. the fufu is tasteless similar to mashed potatoes but heavier, but that’s the purpose of the stew.

I ordered from here recently and had the gizzards and plantains, honey beans with goat, and spinach soup with white fish. Everything was delicious, and very generous portions. Also got some time to chat with the owner, who was very friendly. Will definitely order from here again!

This place is soooo delicious! I was hesitant at first because I’ve never had Nigerian food, but I’m so glad I tried it. The egusi spinach soup with goat meat is to die for. The flavors are so rich and have the perfect amount of heat. I’ve never had anything like this, and now I crave Nigerian food every week. My boyfriend really enjoys the vegetarian jollof rice. We are obsessed with this restaurant. The employees are also super friendly!

The food was absolutley delicious! I ordered the efo riro and was very pleased. Wasn't sure how to correctly eat the pounded yam with the dish but was able to figure it out. Would highly recommend to any vegetarians that want a different ensemble of flavors than they are used to. 10/10 would eat here again!

Always delicious! Always great customer service! I travel 2 hours from home to come here. I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now and I’ve been obsessed! Flavors and portions are perfect. The egusi and efo riro flavors are above other places I’ve been! Love it

Soups are delicious but be aware that they are extremely spicy 🌶️ as well, the fufu is a must for all their soups. Beef patties are extremely delicious as well should had got more than two SMH. The beef is seasoned very well and the bread was crispy, flaky and buttery. Would definitely visit again soon!

One of the best restaurants I have ordered from. I had the egusi soup with fish and a side of plantains. The flavors are absolutely amazing and you can tell that this restaurant puts a lot of love into their food. Highly recommend!!!!

I did not eat the food, I was picking up the order for a customer. But I've heard nothing but great things about this restaurant. If you're interested in exploring different cuisines, definitely check this place out. The food smells good in the restaurant. And they have a robust clientele. I'm more of a basic eater. But I recommend this eatery if you like something different and exotic.

Food was delicious and fresh, travelled 30 minutes due to the great reviews and I must say it was worth the drive! My family and I had the beef egusi soup with pounded yam, okra and ogbono with white fish soup. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We definitely will be coming back for more. Best African food ever, if I could put more than five stars I would. The owner is very polite and they have the best food ever. So much flavor and I’ve never had a bad experience i could eat here every other day if I could. The prices are a little high but it’s expected if u want fresh good food so I say it’s worth it.

This location is an hour drive for me and I would highly recommend eating at Bisi. The food is absolutely delicious. I enjoy the friendly staff and food recommendations. It was my second visit and I truly love the Egushi with goat, and the Jollof Rice. You must try the ginger beer soda. 😊

My wife and I were looking to get something new. We had just watched "High on the Hog" on Netflix. It really peaked our interest in African cuisine. I will shout this to anyone who is listening, EAT THERE FOOD. Everything was fresh and fabulous. We will definitely be going back. PS. Try the beef patty!

This place is amazing. Their food is always prepared fresh. The dishes are authentic and very delicious. I've been coming here for almost 4 yrs now and they have never disappointed. The gentleman there is always professional and friendly. This place is a hidden gem in the NW suburbs, away from the crowded roads of Chicago. The picture below is Pounded Yam with Ewedu. This is just one of many fantastic dishes they offer. I've also had their Pounded Yam with Efo riro, Ogbono Soup, Egusi Soup, Chopped Okra Soup, and Jollof Rice which were all amazing. Don't take my word for it, try them out for yourself, they're only 15 minutes from Woodfield Mall. You will not be disappointed!😉
