The
Chicago
River
is
a
major
waterway
that
runs
through
downtown
Chicago
linking
up
with
Lake
Michigan.
During
our
recent
visit
to
the
city
we
spent
quite
a
bit
of
time
along
the
river,
walking
the
designated
Riverwalk
and
crossing
several
of
the
bridge
crossings
to
Streeterville
on
the
north
side
of
the
Chicago
River.
The
riverwalk
is
rather
nice.
There
are
some
interesting
monuments
to
see
and
they
were
setting
up
bars
and
coffee
shops
for
this
coming
summer.
Plenty
of
spots
to
grab
a
seat
somewhere
and
enjoy
being
on
the
river
during
good
weather
days.
You
can
also
take
boat
cruises
up
and
down
the
river
as
well.
Chicago
Skyline
views
can
be
enjoyed
from
along
the
river
trail
or
while
cruising
the
waterway.
Plenty
of
access
points
down
to
the
riverwalk
area
from
beside
the
bridge
crossings.
