I love visiting this pier and walking out onto it to see stunning views. It's very peaceful, beautiful and stunning at the same time. And even though it was chilly out today and I did feel a bit cold with just a sweater on I am still glad I walked out here onto the pier to see the fantastic views of downtown Milwaukee and of course the lake. Its the farthest out on the lake you can get without being on a boat and very well worth the walk. One side of the pier is totally open so do be careful if you bring kids out here. Also people do ride bikes on the pier too and many people come here to go fishing. I have fond memories of seeing a comarant bird here last summer. Its not a bird one often sees in the Milwaukee area but one was making its home last summer by the rocks just off the pier. It was a special treat to watch it. I saw it dive into the lake countless times. And watching the waves on the deep side of the pier can be mesmerizing too...to see how the waves move. Without doubt its one of my favorite places on the lake. And even though I can't really swim I have always felt safe on this pier. A great place for photos too!

Great views! If you love the lakefront then check this place out! You will be awestruck by how beautiful the city looks at sunset! This is a great location for pictures of the city against the sunset or with the light of sunrise. If you are willing to walk all the way to the end of the pier, you will be able to see the whole downtown section of Milwaukee at an angle that would only be possible from a boat. If you park in the MicKinley parking lot, you also will have free parking! Again it’s just going to be a bit of a walk so be prepared.

Very beautiful up here. Bring a jacket because it can get very windy up here.

Beautiful view that overlooks the city. This pier walk is worth your time if you are just visiting or are a long time resident. Find a day when the weather is nice and take the walk out to the farthest point for some truly spectacular photo opportunities :)

This is a lovely place to walk and enjoy during the summer. The views from here are breathtaking. The milwaukee skyline looks so beautiful from here. Might get crowded during weekends. But I personally enjoy the piers.

Lakefront classic. Taking a stroll down the pier... Been doing this since I was a kid. Beware though, it gets cold in the late fall! Wear something that'll break the wind! See pics

Lovely place to visit. Serene and calm place. If you own a boat or not, you'll still love the scenery from many different perspectives.
