Inconsistent menu, consistently bland food. The service was great, very nice atmosphere, although it smells like fish and cleaning products. Octopus: dry, tiny slivers of fishy meat, bleh we sent it back. Tuna with wontons: were okay, nothing to write home about. French onion soup needed salt & pepper and seasonings. Salmon burger was decent. Fries, decent. Arugula goat cheese salad with very dry chicken was mediocre. Fish & Chips, fish was extremely bland but the tartar sauce was great. A shame that such a beautiful place doesn’t have an equally as beautiful and tasteful menu. Hoping they change the menu AGAIN but for the better, but I don’t count on it and probably will not be returning. They used to have an amazing Bloody Mary cart, but they don’t even have that. Do yourself a favor, SKIP.

Not only is this location superb on the water at Inspiration Wharf with a beautiful view any time of year but the food is absolutely amazing! The service was excellent and the manager John was very attentive and kind! We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for all of the above reasons! Also the interior decor is absolutely beautiful, high end and classic and classy! Yum yum yum and Thank you 😊

What a great place to enjoy lunch! We sat at a table on the pier, overlooking the water. Amazing views with a gentle breeze. The food was spectacular. The shrimp wrap was scrumptious. My burger was tasty and cooked to perfection. We shared NY cheesecake for dessert. Creamy and delicious with a very crunchy crust. Service was friendly and attentive. Ample parking across the street. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Beautiful locale. Service was poor. We waited 15 minutes to order drinks. The waiter could not understand us when we were placing the order. The table next to us ordered long after us and received their food before we did. We questioned this and we were told the food was coming right out. It didn't. I believe the cooks or someone made a mistake, but the waiter wouldn't just be honest with us. That would've been much appreciated. Their two local drafts don't have the brewery listed. I asked the waiter, and two people behind the bar and none of them knew where the beer came from. In my opinion, this is a significant lack and knowledge about your product that you serve. The server behind the bar told me, "we just get a big keg of it and that's all I know." We did not feel well received at all.

The service was horrible we waited for a long time to receive the food. Once we finally receive the food after an hour of waiting we got a linguine with white sauce however it didn’t even taste like white sauce but more like chicken broth. In addition, you couldn’t even take a spoon of that, and it smelled disgusting. The chef has no idea of how to properly cook a meal. To add on, the prices were also really high and expensive and was definitely not appropriate for the food. The cheese cake was also horrible and had absolutely no to it and was more of a sponge that a dessert.

Came here on 4th of July. Had reservations and the wait wasn’t too long at all. Got nice seats right by the water for a party of 9. This place has a great view and it was right around sunset so it was quite spectacular. Ordered a variety of oysters (west coast, east coast), calamari, baked oysters, truffle fries, lobster rolls, and a variety of desserts that seemed very popular. I don’t tend to desire oysters that much however these were definitely top shelf and the cocktails including my Arnold Palmer iced tea was definitely tasteful. The good overall was great and the service was also impressive as the restaurant was quite busy. Highly recommend this place for an overall good time.

Stopped in with a bunch of friends. We had the seafood tower, baked clams, calamari and bunch of sandwiches. Everything was great, including the service. Nice location right on the water. Has a great bar too.

I really like this place. Went in October for a friend's birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very good and the employees were personable and very nice. Our server (photo) was great. He was very attentive and professional. He did everything he could to make it a perfect day, and it definitely was!!!

Was good but seafood “tower” was barely enough for 1 never mind 2. $130 for that dish and 1 drink each. I don’t mind paying but wants to at least go away full. Service was exceptional. Pulled up in our boat and were met with 2 wonderful greeters that tied us off. Good atmosphere but next time will order a burger I guess

Great views. I do recommend saying how you want your steak cooked. Was not asked for mine and it came out medium to well. Shrimp cocktails were large shrimp and very good.

First of all my wife has Celiac's, so I called on my way and was assured that all we had to do was tell our server and everything would be taken care of. We were given a card to scan for the menu which did not have any gluten free items on it. When the server was questioned, he was not very knowledgeable about Gluten Free. We were told to go to the website for the G F menu. After numerous tries and the waiter passing us at least 6 times, not once asking us if we found it or if we needed help, we got up and LEFT. We drove all the way back to Smithtown and had a wonderful and gluten free Surf and Turf at our usual Sunday restaurant. Recommendation to Louie's management, put a scannable Gluten Free menu on the same card as the regular menu.

Such a great place, excellent service!!! I’d ordered Spritz, fish and shrimp tacos for appetizer, for lunch Ny steak with creamed spinach and a cappuccino. I’m a meat lover and that steak was just great. Perfect taste and soft. And also the view.

This restaurant is great for its outdoor dining area, especially during the summer. It's the perfect place to watch the sunset on the water, enjoying good food and drinks and they stuck to all of the COVID restrictions. However, the loss of a star comes from the pricing in regards to the quality of the dishes, as well as to many of the dishes being a hit or miss. I would go here for the dining experience again, but for food, there are higher quality seafood places in the area.

Waited 2 hrs& 45mins for a table only to be served cold and tasteless food. The girls tried their best to seat us but I quickly realized the mismanagement and mishandling of reservation could not be avoided. It was a party of 6 for a birthday dinner. Not once after two hours of waiting they offered options to accommodate us, they gave us the worse attitude meanwhile we were waiting forever. So eventually we sat down, drinks were awesome and then the food arrived, stuffed shrimp, scallop, lobster fried rice and shirt rib all served cold, so damb disgusting. Warm brownie was cold too. Don't waste your time waiting for a disgusting experience. Hopefully they use this review as an insight.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Louie's Prime Steak and Seafood, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant's location provided a lovely ocean breeze, creating a delightful ambiance as I savored their incredible offerings. The steak at Louie's Prime was truly outstanding, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a culinary delight that left me wanting more. The seafood spaghetti was equally impressive, with fresh ingredients and a harmonious blend of flavors that showcased the chef's expertise. One highlight of the meal was the lobster roll, a true indulgence. The succulent lobster meat combined with buttery toasted bread created a symphony of taste and texture that was absolutely divine. What made the experience even more enjoyable was sharing it with friends. Louie's Prime provided the perfect setting for us to relax, enjoy the delicious food, and create wonderful memories together. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers a delightful ocean breeze, along with exceptional steak, seafood spaghetti, and a mouthwatering lobster roll, Louie's Prime Steak and Seafood is the place to be. You'll be treated to a culinary journey that will leave you thoroughly satisfied and eager to return for more unforgettable dining experiences.

Service was very good. Outdoor seating was nice. Burrata appetizer was good so I was excited to have my entree which was stuffed shrimp with crab meat over jasmine rice. That was horribly terrible! I drove 45 minutes to get here and that shrimp tasted like hard, dry plastic. The jasmine rice tasted like water...really. I asked for hot sauce and it still tasted like water. The crab meat on top of the shrimp tasted like more plastic. For all these people know, I could be writing a review in Zagat's. I do belong to Long Island Restaurant Group. It is extremely disappointing to go to a restaurant, look forward to a nice meal you are paying for, and get such terrible food. I do not understand how they can get a 4 star. I am guessing most of these people were served lots of alcohol before their meal. The chef should be very ashamed of him/herself giving such a dish to the public. Shame on you!

Octopus was slivered so thin and had a rubbery texture. Fish and chips had no flavor whatsoever even tho it was fried to perfection. Cole slaw was good. French onion soup was okay. The service was great I would only come back for a drink

Great atmosphere. The location is amazing. You can catch beautiful sunsets if you seat on the outdoor space and even inside the atmosphere is amazing. Service is great. We loved the oysters with the champagne mignonette sauce. Burger was a bit dry and the lobster roll was okay.

We had a pretty pleasant Sunday dinner. The bread came covered under cloth, mildly hot with salted butter. Due to the covering cloth, the bread is still moist when served, which is very nice. However, they did not provide butter knife. The 47$ three course dinner is overall worth it. We had tuna and shrimp taco as appetizer. The tuna is spicy but surprisingly well balanced, as the taco is averagely good. The two appetizers were definitely at good quality. As for entree, we ordered 14 oz marinated skirt steak and seafood pasta. I was never a fan of seafood pasta, but I have to admit it was good. However, the steak disappointed me a bit. The flavor of the steak is indeed well marinated, however, despite ordering a rare steak, it seemed more of a medium cooked as you could see in the picture. The plate is somewhat warm, but not warm enough, as the ceramics the plate was made out of was horrible at preserving heat. Pretty much the steak was already cold by the time I finished half of it. The desserts were definitely a delight. The chocolate mousse, although did not look the best, tasted heavenly. Small crispy chocolate pieces gave it extra texture as the coco is smooth. However, it is overall a bit too sweet. If there could be more cream, I believe it will be closer to perfect. The apple pie tasted nice. I know little about making apple pies so I couldn’t comment any further. All I know is that it tasted nice. The service quality is above average. Your water gets refilled on time and people would ask you if all good once a while. Overall I did enjoyed the dinner. The only reason I gave a four star and made so much criticism is because i believe minor changes could make the restaurant so much better. I see potential in it. Minor details such as serving a butter knife could really make a difference.

Haven't been here in a long time but it's such a staple on LI that I had to bring my son here. He's 14 now and he's at the age that he can appreciate good LI restaurants and the atmosphere they bring. Especially during the summer. We go to alot of restaurants across Nassau and Suffolk and Louie's was one that I was excited to finally bring him to. I gotta tell ya, I was little disappointed. The atmosphere is amazing, always has been. I was just very disappointed in the food. It was good, but, sub par. Seafood, amazing. Meats??? Very dry with no flavor and the only "steak sauce" was A1. Lol. Or, maybe they just had an "off day" which I can understand happens though I'd suggest sticking with the seafood. No complaints there whatsoever. Overall, great experience for my son and I. We'll definitely be back but next time we'll just stick with the seafood.

If you're in Port Washington, having dinner here is a must. The best time to go is about an hour or an hour and a half before and watch the sun go down. The oysters are good, fried calamari is also good. Their salads are good, and Branzino was excellent! I'd get a cocktail as well. They're good! I personally liked the summer cocktail. Lobster rolls are okay, and the salad on top of chicken paneé was really good!

Service was good. Beer was cold. But the wings- avoid. They were served warm but not hot. They’re not BAD but they’re more of a honey BBQ, and not Buffalo as is listed on the menu. If you like honey BBQ wings, then go for it I suppose. 1 star for a great environment/vibe 1 star for good service 1 star for the helpful boat dock hand I would come back again to drink, or to try a different food item. Other members of my party enjoyed their shrimp and oysters.

This place is outstanding. Our hostess Bethany was super helpful getting us a table as soon as possible. Our servers Timo and Arbie were fantastic at their jobs. Professional and made great recommendations. You can't beat the location. Lots of outside seating overlooking the water. Also great party rooms inside and a nice bar. The food was amazing. My dad had the Fish & Chips with fries which he enjoyed....the fries were done just right. Nice and crisp with the right amount of salt. My wife and I shared the Branzino as well as the Pear and Brie Salad with Raspberry Vingarette. We agreed all the flavors were absolutely delicious and it was the best Branzino we had ever eaten. Last but not least....dessert! The Pistachios Ricotta Cake was off the charts delicious. I would come back just to have another bite of that special plate! Louie's definitely won my family over quickly....can't wait for our next visit! Heads up - Parking is a nightmare....but well worth the frustration once you sit down for a great culinary experience...

The location and the ambience is really good, but the food is terrible! They do NOT have a vegetarian option in main course at all, not even bean burger patties. So, I ended up having some side dish of Eggplant crisps which were bland and tasteless in my honest opinion. My friends had burgers and crab cake which were not delicious they said. Overall we were not satisfied with the food. The Happy hour is only at the bar, but you can bring the drinks to the tables outside. Would not visit the place again.

This was my second visit at Louie's Prime Steak and Seafood. And it was better than the first, The food was amazing, the waitress was very attentive welcoming and had a good vibe she checked on us at least 10times,making sure we had everything we needed..the atmosphere was just perfect...my husband had the lobster, my daughter had the salmon with the watermelon salad on the side, and I had the chicken panee, with calamari and baked clams for our appetizers. If you're looking for a nice dinner at the water with great food and ambient..definitely go to Louies you wouldn't be disappointed!

It was a Wednesday night at prime time seating for dinner and the restaurant has a good crowd eating this night but they looked to have enough staff to handle things in the main dining room... So what the hell?! An old neighborhood fave that is under new ownership for over a year now... Lots of great hits like their whole grilled Bronzino served head to tail; a surprisingly gigantic slab of NY strip steak grilled to perfection; a buttery and flavorful lobster bisque, but missing croutons, were all quite delicious.... However the misses were pretty significant. Let me preface by saying the staff was very professional and nice. Our water glasses never emptied the entire time we were there. What was odd was that we were asked if we wanted bread for the table as we settled in and then had to ask 2 different servers after that for said bread basket and still nothing came while every other tables after us got a basket. Food misses: The classics like the French onion soup: lukewarm soup, the crusty piece of French bread sliver in the crock was missing and the thick cheesey cap that is supposed to be the best part of this soup was completely obliterated because it had been kept under the broiler for too long; the point of burrata is that you get an smooth ooze of fresh ricotta when you pierce into the thin membrane of the fresh mozzarella encasing it... This one was just dry and almost crumbly in the middle when you cut into it; and their creme brulee...2 were ordered for my table that both were served like creme brulee soup, seemed they forgot to bake it all the way through before torching the sugar top. Still has an iconic and beautiful deck on the water for great warm weather days fun! I'll try this place again and hope they shape up before summer gets here.

Be sure to make a reservation. I didn't expect it to be so popular and ended up having to wait an hour for a table. You're allowed to wait by the bar while you wait to be seated. The food was good and the servers were kind. The bartenders even try to make conversation with you. If your eating for two, try to get a table on the walkway. It's a bit more peaceful and closer to the water. Will definitely come back.

The food there was excellent. The scenery on the deck was beautiful. My party ordered the seafood tower as an appetizer which was great. Has everything you need from raw clams, oysters, lobster, shrimp etc. My entree I thought was on the small side. It was the broiled seafood combo over rice I was expecting a bigger portion. I could of eaten two entrees. I looked at other guests dishes and their portion sizes were much larger. If i go back I'll definitely order something else. My dish wasn't worth the $39 I paid.

Ok, Lobster Bisque was pretty good... after having that we’ve decided to order more food... we shouldn’t have to. The Broiled sea food combo (and the daily special Octopus) were tasteless and chewy. We had to beg for some extra refill water (and we ordered a bottle of wine and beers to start). When asked by Vanessa if the food was ok, we told her that we were not really happy... she seemed not interested... Final result. Go somewhere else if you can. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The view is awesome. Right on the water in Port Washington. The young lady greeted us at the side to lead us to the back where the tables are. The service was excellent as the waiter came around to ask us how the food was, do we need anything more, told us about the desserts, etc. We didn't feel rushed at all. The food was delicious and was presented well. A good time to go is between meals (2-4 pm).

Amazing, everything from apps to entrees! We got all of the popular dishes on the menu (see below)... service was great, drinks were great! One of the rare restaurants that allows you to have a wonderful experience from start to finish. Nothing was greasy or oily, all were light, fresh and delicious. Jesus was our server and pleasant, thank you for all you do :) We got: lobster roll, fish sandwich, calamari, west coast oysters, clam chowder soup - warm brownie and coffee for desert.

I like this place for a beautiful view, but lately reservations are very uncomfortable to make and waiting can take for an hour. Food is not great and a little bowl of kids pasta and butter for 15$, honestly it's too much. I don't like one waiter there and was not lucky to get him yesterday. I loved this place some years ago, food was better. Now I just feel like dishes is not married together cod with tomatoes and olives with pasta on a side, one if specials, crabcakes comes without sauce or anything.I like seafood tower there and lobster bisque.
