The tacos I had were fine. But my girlfriend's pizza was raw and soggy with uncooked egg on top. They gave us free pastries as recompense but the berries on the pastries were starting to mould. Too pricey for the quality.

What is this this place trying to be? A tourist place for locals? A local place for tourists? A place for pastries & coffee? Or pizzas & paninis? It’s definitely not local Glenwood springs citizens prices. We ordered the pepperoni pizza & side salad. Pizza was sloppy, wet & undercooked. No one could pull a part one firm slice from the other. The salad had no pizazz. Throw on some Gorgonzola or anything else to make your salad “local.” Maybe try streamlining your menu and improve on your specialties. Also if you have the ingredients to make 7 different types of pizza then you should be able to make at least 7 different types of calzones. (Not 2)

We came here b/c we wanted to support local restaurants, & this was the most expensive & WORST breakfast I've ever had. The 'breakfast pizzas' where undercooked & wet. The croissant sandwich that I had was small & I was served ruffles potato chips instead of local or homemade chips. I recommend not eating here, don't even get their pastries. There was mold on the berries & the other pastry was dried up & hard.

I have never felt the need to leave a review before, but this experience was just so disappointing that I had to share. As a local I have heard mixed reviews about Local On Cooper, even some really great reviews, but my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot anyway today, September 6th 2021. We ordered through the app KraveKar and did not specify any sort of vegan, gluten free or vegetarian options, just easy and regular pizza. We also ordered two large coffees. We received the saddest looking pizza I have ever seen in my life, soggy just like reviews before our own, and realized that it was missing some of the toppings and didn’t match the pictures from other reviews - it was vegan and gluten free. I wish I had taken a picture of them before we tossed them out, the pictures here are of our replacements. We also got small coffees instead of the larges we ordered. We called and spoke to a manager who offered to remake the pizzas and coffee and have them sent to our home again, after she told me I received exactly what I ordered and tried to tell me I was wrong. We were hoping to get a refund but the manager who spoke with us spent most of the time talking over us and wouldn’t let me get a word in. So we ended up getting our food again to avoid any further conflict… and honestly the crust feels like that of a lunchables. It was so soft and chewy in the worst way. The sauce on the margarita pizza was the only redeeming part about it. We both took one bite of the whistle pig and it was, again, disappointing and went right in the trash. How can a slice with arugula, bacon and tomatoes taste so bland? Our coffee was right this time so I guess that’s nice. I appreciate the manager trying to make things right but it doesn’t change that fact that the pizza was honestly really bad and she clearly didn’t care to hear what I wanted as a person who just spent $50 on the product she was serving. I am so disappointed and I would absolutely recommend that if you want pizza you skip right on over to Za, Uncles or Russos as this isn’t even close to the mark. I would call and ask for a refund but they closed at 3, before we even received our replacement order.

All style, no substance. Quite overpriced, and very poor quality food. Went there for breakfast , my friend and I both ordered a breakfast pizza, and both were severely undercooked and ingredients were likely poorly kept. Both of us got sick within 30 minutes of leaving. I tried the breakfast sandwich my girlfriend ordered, and honestly, it was about on par with what I'd expect from a gas station. Not sickening like the pizza, but not worth $15. The best part of this experience is that they offered free pastries to go after we pointed out the uncooked food, but hilariously, the berries on a tart we got actually had mold growing in them. Don't even try it, there are many other great places in Glenwood. Don't pay $52 for food that will make you rush to the nearest restroom 30 minutes after eating.

Really overpriced for what you get- in our whole Colorado road trip, this somehow ended up being our most expensive meal. $50 for a very simple green salad, quiche, and yogurt parfait. The quiche and yogurt parfait both seemed like they could’ve just been bought at a grocery store. Had much higher expectations, but truly not sure how their menu prices end up being decided on.

New ownership has changed this place significantly, for the worst. I am so bummed! Local used to be my top choice for lunch; I was a regular as a local. Now I don’t go at all. The freshness is really hard to predict, and I’ve had several things not cooked right (chewy rice?) and to go fruit cups from the fridge be moldy. Very high price isn’t matched by quality anymore. I hope they improve, but I’m not sure I’ll be back to find out.

Great ambiance with helpful employees, variety of offerings, AND lots of healthy drink options! We knew vegan options would be slim while visiting but we saw some places had enough options to enjoy dining out. So far, this has been the only place to really ask us questions and give us solid food options while considering our need for a filling meal! Mary Beth made sure we felt welcome by actually thinking about what could and couldn’t be made vegan and also asked us what we would use to make something (made with eggs) vegan so she would know for next time! She also asked us thoughtful questions and was very generous with sharing info about their restaurant, other local places, and some trails. Vegan or not, this place has great food. So far we have only tried some breakfast and plan to try pizza before we leave!

We had the best experience at The Local. We went for breakfast and everything was delicious. Our son had the French toast and asked if he could please lick his plate. My husband had the croissant breakfast sandwich and I had the overnight oats. I wish I could make the oats this fantastic at home. Our daughter had the pancakes and they were so yummy! The chai tea latte was scrumptious too. The BEST I have ever had! Mary Beth was wonderful as well. She’s so personable and kind! We loved our breakfast so much we went back the next day! I highly recommend The Local when you go to Glenwood Springs or are close by!! You won’t regret it!

You can tell the quality of a coffee shop by how well they pour an espresso and they make a perfect one. Super rich blend and flavor too. Delictable pastries, wood oven pizzas and quiches make the place a real find.

Clean, friendly and tasty. Pancakes and the french toast were phenom! Would be interested in trying the rest of the menu. Will be back.

This place was great! The people here are very welcoming and homey, and the food was divine. Highly recommend. Great place and the aesthetic in there was very nice and calming. I would definitely go back if I find myself in Glenwood Springs! 🤍🤍

Great little atmosphere. Think coffee shop meets a pizza place. Met the owner and she was super sweet! Food was delicious! Happy to support local places like this.

Don't sleep on this little gem! Just one block over from the main street downtown and totally worth it. Family run, great service, great food, would definitely come again. And for those reviews about it being too pricey, they've clearly never eaten anywhere in a resort town. 🙄

Stopped in for some food for our family while passing through as they appeared to have good vegan options. 17 dollars for a box of kale essentially undressed kale with poorly cooked brussel sprouts and tofu. Very bland, very overpriced and ridiculously slow for what they prepared.

Fun atmosphere, what I could describe as a more modern chic area. Staff was all very friendly. The food was good, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money for the little amount you get. Their espresso was very, very bitter.

Staff was super helpful and even customized a sandwich for me. Food was delicious, lone cone coffee was the best black coffee I've ever had and their homemade salsa is to die for. Ask for the homemade spicy salsa!

We waited a little bit for our dinner but it was worth it. Place was busy and we were there late but we enjoyed!

Breakfast was amazing! Highly recommend. Service was good. Coffee was a little bitter. Don’t know if I would stop here just for coffee.

Delicious! Stumbled upon this place while waiting for another restaurant and decided to give it a try. I ordered the huevos rancheros with chorizo. Hubby had French toast and my daughter had pancakes with bacon and eggs. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice bonus.

The frittata is fantastic, and the sauce they give you with the potatoes and the frittatas is also amazing. Idk what it is, but she told me it was vegan, so that’s nice if you are vegan. I ordered a mocha which was also very good. The nice lady that made it forgot to put the chocolate in it the first time, and we all had a good laugh about it. Staff is very friendly.

Staff honestly didn’t seem to know what they were doing, have knowledge of the menu, or how to be welcoming. Was the only person in line and waited 15 minutes before someone knew I was there. Paid $35 just for a frittata and a drink, so was very overpriced. Got brought the wrong food even though there was only 2 people in the restaurant and I had a number sign. Food was okay I guess, and environment was nice. Won’t be coming back. As a local foodie, I wouldn’t recommend.
