Awesome Mexican treat. Salsa has perfect amount of spice and tomato flavor. The texture of the cheese crispy is wonderful. The asada nachos were also very good. Loved the blended melted cheeses, and the smoky flavor of the steak is unique and tasty. Guacamole is above average. This is the go to place for your Mexican fix when you visit Glenwood springs. Service is great and the food came out very fast. Beware the portions are humongous. While expensive, everything is shareable which brings the prices in line with any other Mexican restaurant.

The parking lot was super packed when we got there, so we knew that it was going to be busy inside. We hoped that it was busy because everybody else had been here before, and knew that it was a great place to have dinner. Service was fantastic. We constantly ran into smiling faces, and everyone was friendly. The chips had a sort of different texture (I tried to tell myself that they weren’t stale) and the salsa they give you with the chips is very chunky so you have been warned. I was torn on rating the food a four instead of a five, because the portion sizes were incredible. But the chorizo con huevos that I ordered was not your standard chorizo with eggs, but rather it had onions and peppers, and other various things that were not listed in the description. Even if I wasn’t a picky eater, it would’ve been nice to know that there were extraneous things inside of the order beyond what is normally found in that particular meal. My buddy’s burrito was gigantic, and he couldn’t even finish it (he was talking about that thing two days later!!). If I was in the area again, I would definitely swing by, but probably grab something different for dinner than I did this time.

Okayish service. They take a very long time to serve. We had to wait around an hour to get our food. Rest of the food is fine. The complimentary chips and salsa is very good. Just a tip: Don't take the non alcoholic mangonada. It isn't good.

One of the best Mexican restaurants ever! Some of the tastiest dishes I had in a long time. Decor and atmosphere were top quality as well. Not only were their chips and salsa great, the variety of sauces they had were incredible.

While in town we were looking for somewhere close to our hotel for a quick, casual meal with some friend. We walked to Tequila's for margaritas and some yummy Mexican food. The Fajitas could feed a table of 5 easily, as you can see from the pictures. There was not a lot of meat but instead a whole lot of onions and peppers. Was wishing for a bit more protein for the price of the meal. However, the margaritas are huge and strong enough for the $$. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our meal overall.

Friendly staff, great food, and fun atmosphere inside! I just wanted something fast and simple - almost went to qdoba and so glad I didn’t. I got a salad to go and took it to a nearby (beautiful rest stop). The host was super nice and described the salsa and homemade cilantro - tequila salad dressing :)

Had the Steak Nachos and were they excellent!!!!! Probably the best coleslaw with an oil based dressing and fresh jalapeños and cilantro! The salsa is fabulous! Never had a bad meal here…ever. I’ll be back. Again and again. :)

This place had real nice atmosphere but I am not a Mexican food kinda guy , bf loves Mexican food. I ordered a mojito, very good, bf had a strawberry margarita. I looked over the menu for a chicken taco they don’t offer that so I had chicken fingers, bf ordered chicken fajitas, favorite. Our meals came and he did not get what he ordered but ate it any way. He said it tasted good but was looking forward to having the sizzling fajitas. He place my diner on the table and nothing special about chicken fingers and fries.. but …. The chicken was so dry I could not finish eating them.. we waited and waited for our check to come to pay for our meal…

Very good food! We did have to wait for a table, and the wait was worth it! Tons of Latinx families here celebrating; Spanish spoken everywhere. That's the mark of a really good Mexican restaurant! It's also open after 9pm in Glenwood, which is important! The service was also very good!

After spending a relaxing time at iron mountain hot springs we were looking for a place to have dinner and by seeing google reviews and searching for places nearby we decided to have dinner at Tequilas Family Mexican Restaurant. We were seated on our table by our server Claudia and she greeted us with water and menus. She also bought chips, salad and cabbage. The chips, salad and cabbage were delicious and we loved it. From the menu we ordered Churros, Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Tacos and Chicken Burritos. The service was good and we got our food in 10-15 mins. The food was hot and fresh. The portions were also good enough for the people. Quesadilla, Burritos and Tacos all were delicious and tasty. Amazing food with great service makes this amazing Mexican restaurant.

Good not great. We got there with an hour and half til closing. Our server disappeared for 35 min after ordering drinks when we first got there. It took a long time to get the bar drinks we ordered. Once we got the drinks, they took and additional 10 min to come back and get our food order. The beverage was not something I would recommend and I barely drank it, it was a bad combination and I didnt care for it. Then the food took about 20 min to come out. So we didn't have much time to eat and felt rushed. The servers were kind and a server was constantly walking around refilling water which was nice at least. The entre meals were good, however, the rice and beans tasted very soapy. Very off putting and we didnt finish them. I would like to believe that this experience could have been better if it was earlier in the day. It was rather expensive for the food and service we recieved. There were gluten friendly and kid friendly options available.

We started with chips and salsa which was the bomb! They also served some sauteed cabbage. We had the sauteed shrimp and mushrooms for entrees with beans and rice. For drinks, we had the jalapeno margarita and the tequila sunrise, which were both really good!

10/10. Every worker here was AMAZING! Service was exceptional. Food and drinks was also amazing. Came here twice in one day for drinks and food. Portion size was also good. We were celebrating a birthday and couldn’t decide on what free dessert we wanted so the waiter surprised us with a combination of both. If I ever visit glenwood again I would return.

Have you tried the sautéed mushrooms hors d'oeuvres? OMG! Extra lime with your Dos Equis amber? The carnitas (Michoacán-style) are always a very satisfying portion (and don't forget to use the included flavor bomb). We've been here a dozen times over many years; always one of our favorite stops for lunch or dinner! LOVE THIS PLACE! The food and service is always top notch. A must-stop restaurant. 100%.

Had a party of 9 (including one toddler). They were able to accommodate us with short notice even with us arriving at peak business hours. The food was excellent! I had the skinny tacos and it was so delicious. Friendly staff. Our waiter was quick to get in our orders and drinks and check up on us throughout our meal. Can't say enough! Would highly recommend to anyone.

This place was amazing!!! The atmosphere is so great, the service was exceptional, and the food was even better!! Every bite got a “yum! this is delicious!” It was also my daughter’s birthday and she got the best surprise!! Very authentic, very amazing!! My other daughter wants to drive 6 1/2 hours so she can come here for her birthday dinner. I can’t say enough!!

Came back based on a previous positive experience couple years back. Food was still good and that’s where it ends. A couple of flies were flying over our burritos and fajitas. Our waitress referred to us as “my friends” instead of proper sir / mam. To her credit she never said “baby / honey / sweetie”, etc, which would result in zero tip. “My friends” is not as bad as the other stuff, so we left a small tip.

We have a large family and they did an amazing job keeping orders correct. We have children of all ages and they all loved this restaurant! The food was fast, it tasted great, and the staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

Big servings is a plus. Chips and salsa is good and frozen margaritas too. Restaurant is not very clean though. Table was sticky and if you look around, you can see the place is not clean. We ate here a few times and don’t feel good after eating. I decided there must be better restaurants in Glenwood Springs that will make me feel good after eating and we found a few. Clean place, more likely clean food. But that’s just me. If your tummy doesn’t complain, go for it!

Very big portions, got the guacamole salad and it was bigger than my face. The carne asada was pretty good, split it with Hannah because it was also humongous. But very expensive

Proper food, staff are very pleasant and welcoming, two steps away from some of the hotels and one of the few places that remain open until later at night. Nicole was attending my table and she did great. They could maybe use an additional waiter given how busy it gets but it is all good.
