A great place to come stay for a few days with quite a few things to do in the city itself whether it be hiking the Red mountain or Doc holiday trail, relaxing at the hot springs, or taking a nice walk through the downtown. Only complaint i could have is the massive bridge construction they have going on right now, but lets be honest what part of colorado isnt doing some form of highway construction.

While traveling on the AMTRAK California Zephyr last August from Omaha to Reno, I discovered Glenwood Springs from the Window of my Roomette and immediately realized it is a Must See Destination. Planning My First Visit to Glenwood Springs this August, Visit Glenwood Springs - The Glenwood Springs Visitor Center - was of Great Assistance and Invaluable Help… I have just completed my extended AMTRAK Excursion that included a Memorable Stay at The Historic Hotel Colorado and and a Memorable Travel Experience (Activities, Restaurants, Shopping, etc.). My Planning for a Return Visit next August has begun and I will again rely on Visit Glenwood Springs. THANK YOU!!!!!!! Update: Not Willing to Wait an Entire Year, I Have Just Booked a Late Winter AMTRAK Excursion to Glenwood Springs and a Three Night Stay at The Beautiful, Historic Hotel Colorado.

We try to visit the Hot Springs whenever we're in Glenwood. The mineral water just feels really good and pool is very warm. My kids loved the new ride that replaced the slides.

Just spent 5 days in Glenwood Springs with the family and it was the perfect getaway. We rode the train from Denver which just added to the experience. Our stay included great food at local restaurants, lots of time at the hot springs pool and a trip up to the Glenwood Adventure Park. Lots of fun!

I cannot believe there is not a public restroom at this visitor's center. We came down early to shop, eat lunch and enjoy the town. Spent 20 minutes looking for bathroom facilities.

Very informative. Nice lady at the desk gave me some maps for White River National Forest. The Forest Service office is just on block away if you need more info.
