This place is a gem. The room we stayed in was huge; literally 4x bigger than the one we stayed in previously at the hot springs lodge, and less than half the price. It was very clean, and easy walking distance to the glenwood hot springs pool, adventure park, and the downtown area with all of the restaurants. There is also a Mexican restaurant and a breakfast place right across the street. We almost didn’t stay here because of other reviews about the beds being uncomfortable, but I thought they were fine. Also, my best friend’s flight to Denver was canceled the night before we were supposed to go to Glenwood, so we no longer needed both rooms we had booked. This happened less than 24 hours before we were supposed to arrive, but they very kindly allowed us to cancel the other room. Great place for families, really nice people, and great price.

Rooms are clean enough. Bed and pillows are pretty uncomfortable, the blanket is tiny, not for 11 degree weather on outside. Extremely noisy heater, we didn't have a good night sleep. Location is great, and yes price doesn't hurt. But I would pay little more to have breakfast and good bed next time.

This was by far my worst experience at a hotel In my life. We booked a few nights at This hotel and the pictures looked fine online but upon arrival the room was filthy and dingy. There were cockroaches at the base of the bed. When it was brought to the staffs attention they instigated an altercation where there was and exchange if profanity. They completely lied and were in denial about what I had brought to there attention. The manager is a creep. There is an old lady who came banging on our door and demanding another night of payment after checking out later than 11am. This hotel is gross and the staff is extremely rude and delusional. I hope they go out of business and nobody supports them. You will regret your stay here

The room was clean and the stay itself was good. There was one minor problem with the payment, but the owner was very polite about it and said she will fix it as soon as possible. The only thing to keep in mind is that the office closes down at night through early morning. If you lock yourself out accidentally, good luck.

Pleasantly surprised!! Good price and perfect location! Stayed in a apartment with 2 large bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other one with 2), fridge, microwave, new TV (in both rooms), small closet and bathroom with shower and tub. Walking distance from everything!! Amazing restaurants right around the corner or right across the street. People were extremely friendly and helpful.

After getting into Glenwood around 11pm I stopped and did a search for motels and this one popped up. It was right across the street. Quick checkin with a super nice desk clerk. Room was nice and clean, parking right by the room door, there were actual real flowers in the room, dominos delivered and they let me check out an hour late. Nothing bad to say, I'd stay here again!

no frills, cheap motel. the locations is great, and the staff is friendly. the internet connection isn't great and caused streaming issues. bring a blow drier if you're expecting one.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous and much nicer than I expected for the low price. Great central location. The owner is a very sweet woman. I will absolutely stay here again next time I am in Glenwood!

There are a lot of reviews on here that state the cleanliness of the hotel, but our room was not the case. We had black mold growing abundantly on the shower grout, especially along the corners. The carpet was very gross, has never appeared to been cleaned. The chairs and furniture have dirt and grease in the crevasses. The name is a bit deceiving, as this is definitely not a lodge, but a Motel. Location was great, withen walking distance if downtown Glenwood. We stayed here as it was one of the cheaper motels, but will probably pay a little more next time to stay elsewhere.

The ONLY reason I give 2 stars is the location is good and the room was clean. Don't worry about sleeping in because you'll be woken at sunrise with car doors slamming and the chatter of workers standing outside your room. If you can sleep through that, you'll definitely be woken by the sound of drills from the basement thats apparently being worked on starting at 9am. When I went to the desk to ask about the noise the lady offered no condolences and acted like it was completely normal that early in the morning. On top of all this, the bathroom window doesn't lock so I had to barricade the bathroom door shut for the night. I would never stay here again!

When checking out, I put our key on the office counter where the sign said to. No one was there. I saw a lady outside and told her I left the key. She was aggressive telling me there should be 2 keys and she "wanted 2 keys". She followed me to my car demanding the 2nd key. We Never had 2 keys. I would never recommend this place.

Wonderful stay and very clean. Close walking distance to hot springs. Perfect with fridge and microwave. Free bus line right in front of hotel. Very nice staff. Very happy. I am glad I didn't pay double at other places as this was perfect for a four night stay to soak in the hot springs. Thank you!!

Older but warm, bug free, clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Tv too high on the wall. Shower head not good but water pressure great. Little cold in bathroom due to it being so far away from the heater and the floors being cold ceramic.

Cozy rooms that were clean. You can tell the owners take very good care of this "older" hotel, they also threw out some ideas on what's going on for the weekend and were very very nice. The location is absolutely amazing! We barely drove anywhere. Close to downtown with access to a walking bridge that goes across the freeway and Colorado River. You can also walk to the hot springs.I would definitely stay here again. It was great for the price.

We have stayed in this hotel several times. It has good beds, there are no bugs, and the room overall is clean. The reason I give it 4 stars is because of the lack of good and modern furnishing, and things being broken in the room when we came there. Also the lack of breakfast contributes to the four stars. If you're looking to stay for a couple of nights and on a budget, this place is for you.

When booking this room I spoke with a woman that wasn't very friendly and I was only asked for my name and card number. I booked this room a month in advance. Not realizing later on I wasn't going to be able to make it. When the day came they did not hesitate to pull the money from my account. Since I never received a confirmation email or a phone call confirming anything I assumed my room was never booked and let it go since I wasnt able to come up due to medical reasons. To only find out that it was and I had gotten charged for the room even without being there. When I called the hotel to explain what happened and if there was a way to fix it, I got an extremely rude man on the phone stating I should've called and who am I with an Indiana phone number, and I should have called either way. You sir are right I probably should have called but you also could have sent and email confirming my room was even booked. When I said this to him, he said, "you know you keep saying this and it doesn't matter. We called you and you didn't answer so now you get charged." When I explained I never received a phone call or messages about my room as well he started yelling and saying that they did call and he has the records. But I also have the records on my phone and never received anything. When I said this to him he again rose his voice and and said "WELL WE CALLED AND YOU NEVER CAME SO THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM" if you choose to get a room here just know they don't send a confirmation email, they don't call, and they will charge you with no remorse, and they will be extremely rude to you.

This place discriminate against people with disabilities and service animals. The lady behind the counter is rude as heck. Save your money and going to a more friendly motel.

The room was very clean and smelled nice, however the phone was outdated and I found it odd to be charged .50 cents per call. Basically I was not happy with the amenities for the price we paid. The attendants at the front desk were also not very pleasant and were somewhat unprofessional.

Great location and super cute buildings but the rooms are creepy with no decoration, very firm mattress, horrible flat pillows, bad shampoo and body wash packets. Would NOT stay here again I would rather pay more money to be safer.

Location is great but the room itself is very outdated! Pictures on the site doesn’t give a true depiction of the room. Mattresses are dirty, carpet is filthy and the bathroom tub wasn’t clean. The refrigerator had an open alcoholic drink in it upon arrival. We never got replacement towels for the week we stayed. And the staff accused us of smoking in the room and asked us to leave! I’m sure my ethnicity was an issue here!

This place is great! That customer service is exceptional. I accidentally booked the wrong dates and the guy at the front desk still gave me a room at the same price I had booked online. Rooms are nice and clean, location is prime!

I love this little lodge! The owner takes such care. This gem shines between big ugly chain motels and still has all the vintage style and charm. Walking distance to the Hot Springs Pool and downtown bridge. Ask for room 18 ro enjoy the vaulted ceiling and stain glass window.

The starlight lodge was great for a weekend getaway. The room was super clean and had a mini fridge which was great. The location was perfect to do everything in glenwood springs! I would stay here again!

Check in was quick and simple. Everything was clean and in working order. Has obviously been there awhile but it does not feel run down. Great spot to recharge on our road trip.

Cozy happy little cottage like place that is affordable and convenient. Beware of the spring loaded beds though if one gets loose your back gets stiff

  • 2/5 Lauren T. 1 year ago on Google
Our room was unique and served it purpose. The carpet was not the most appealing and the beds were not comfortable and dirty. The pillows were flat and hard to get comfortable on. The mattress looked like it had soda spilled on it and there were candy wrappers on the floor. The cleanliness of the place could have been a lot better! At 11:00 pm there were loud noises above our room and there was no one located above us- it was strange. Lastly, the room was so bright due to the lights outside. We had a horrible night of rest and wouldn't go back again.

Rooms were clean but NOT updated, staff was very nice and took care of the one issue we had right away. Everything looked like it was original except for the TV. AC worked great but was still load even on low setting. I would likely return.

Great family owned Lodge in the middle of all of Glenwood Springs attractions. Great price. Clean. Warm. Welcome. Great value between the Hot Springs Pools and the Cave Tram. I could not give a higher recomendation.

Pleasantly surprised, reasonably priced and perfect location. Walking distance from everything!! Amazing restaurants right around the corner, or right across the street. Room had 2 queen beds, fridge, microwave, new TV (HBO), small closet and bathroom with shower. I was expecting beds and a bathroom. People were extremely friendly and helpful. A pipe busted and we lost water our last day,( not their fault)but they turned the water back on for us to shower!( Thanks) Very nice people there, very clean rooms. We will be back!!!

We had a nice stay. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was in need of renovations. Nice to have a modern TV but it was small and very far away from the bed making it hard to see. Price was inline with quantity of stay.

This place is an absolute gem in Glenwood Springs. Found it during a snowstorm and will be staying here from here on out whenever I visit. The owners are Polish and incredibly friendly. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, close to everything. Highly recommend.

We spent a weekend in Glenwood Springs and stayed at the Starlight Lodge 2 nights. Location was great, staff was very kind and helpful and the room was clean. The chairs, beds and pillow were uncomfortable. Appliances and heaters were loud as well as the noises from upstairs. . Coffee maker didn't work well which was disappointing. Overall, we made it work. Definitely needs some updates but not the worst place I've stayed by far.

Nice clean rooms , walking distance from downtown and all the shops, the check-in was super easy and the dude was super friendly. Nice space in the rooms and were super clean, I will say it was pretty quiet as well... All things worked, there was a microwave and mini fridge in the room which was also cool.

  • 4/5 Sheila M. 1 year ago on Google
The Starlight Lodge is very conveniently located within walking distance of the hot springs and restaurants. The room was clean, bathroom was recently updated and beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was a little low and slow draining tub is the only reason I didn't give a 5-star. The person who checked us in was very friendly. We would stay here again.
