Beautiful hotel that is centrally located in the downtown area. Everything is walking distance that you could want from the hotel. Our room was very nice and faced the Colorado River. It was a nice antique-industrial blend that looked like a nice studio rather than a hotel room. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the brewpub downstairs had good beers on tap with friendly bar staff. Overall highly recommended.

AMAZING place. My wife and I had our honeymoon here and it couldn't have been better. Location is great, you're on the right side of town with TONS of restaurants And shops, the Amtrak station is literally across the Street, and our 3rd floor suite was great, quiet and had an awesome view. The entire staff here rocks, and the discount they give for the hot springs (ONLY go to Iron Mountain Hot Springs) are great. Having a brewpub, a cafe and a hair salon in one building is incredible. Bathrooms were a bit small, but that comes with the territory with such an old place. Parking is included with your stay in lots just down the street, and they are secured and monitored by a gate and camera. Our room had two TVs and bathrooms. One bathroom was bigger than the other. The closet was huge, and plenty of drawers to store your stuff. Do bring another pillow, they were a little too soft for my liking. Maintenance crew was fast to fix our wifi and TV when it went out. Shout out to Scott for doing a great job. I could go on forever. Y'all just need to stay here to experience everything and how great this place is.

Hotel Denver is the best place to stay in Glenwood (and I’ve been coming to Glenwood Springs for more than 30 years). Location is ideal, close to all the best restaurants & shops. Amtrak is across the street. Pedestrian bridge takes you right across the river to the Hot Springs Pool. The hotel itself is incredibly comfortable with huge rooms, complete with all the modern upgrades & renovations while still retaining the old-fashioned charm of an historic hotel. Antiques plus plenty of outlets! Best of all, dogs are welcome!!!

We made a reservation for a double queen room facing the mountain. We've stayed in this room before and absolutely love it. As soon as we entered, we were overwhelmed by the sound of construction coming from the room next door. It was extremely loud and it even caused the room to vibrate. I approached the manager about the noise and he mentioned that they were renovating some of the rooms. He offered to switch our room with no additional charge. He brought us to the penthouse suite and it was beautiful, spacious, and had two seperate bedrooms. We also had our own private patio facing the mountain. It was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. I am impressed by the level of customer service we received from the manager. This is a must stay if you are in need of a peaceful vacation. Thank you Hotel Denver for an amazing experience!

5 stars all around! Incredibly dog friendly - was able to bring our two medium/large dogs at NO EXTRA COST which is pretty much unheard of and so appreciated. Front desk staff was always very friendly and accommodating during our visit. Great location right off the highway. All of 1-2 minute walk to tons of restaurants and shops or just a short drive/Uber to the hot springs and hiking trails. We will be staying here from now on during our trips to Glenwood Springs!

Great location, walkable to everything! Stayed in King and it was fine. Bathrooms a little dated. Staff was very nice and helpful in figuring out the AC. In and out Parking $20 a night. Fridge in room.

I stayed there this last weekend. What an amazing and beautiful hotel. They were so friendly and even gave our dog some treats. Rodger the manager was so helpful and gave us the best ideas for how to spend our time in the city. With his recommendations for food and events we had a blast. They had a trainee working, he was so nice and thoughtful. I highly recommend this hotel. To anyone looking for an amazing Accommodations. Thank you so much for the time we spent there.

You’re right in the middle of Downtown Glenwood! An historic hotel with uniquely decorated lobbies, halls and rooms, all with a throwback feel. And yet they maintain a contemporary level of organization and cleanliness. All combined, Hotel Denver gives you the authentic western mountain feel you’re hoping for while simultaneously providing the luxury that vacation lodging deserves. The attached brewery has excellent craft beer and a rocking vegan hummus plate, and the services at the front desk were spectacular. From cab fare to resort towels for the hot springs, they incorporated our short stay into the various sites we wanted to visit seamlessly. Great stay. We will be back, thank you!!!!

Lovely old building that appears well maintained. Spacious rooms with great views. Walking distance to everything the town has to offer. Book with the understanding you are across the street from the train station. You will hear them rolling through. I am a train nut so it was a bonus. My wife doesn't share the same passion but was able to deal with it.

After reading all the positive reviews, I thought this would be a great place to stay. Pros: Hotel Denver is in a great location and has nice sized rooms in an older building. Cons: I am not one to write a review, but do think it is important to pass on information about cleanliness. For paying $350/night, I expected my room to be clean. It sadly was not. I found used dental floss on the bath/shower knob, a used towel in the armoire, and a krantom container on the iron. I typically would offer this as a suggestion to the hotel staff; however, the front desk staff was very unfriendly/rude, unhelpful, and ignored people waiting to check in or ask questions (aside from one gentleman). You can also hear everything in the hallway in the rooms which got a bit loud at 11 PM and 5 AM. Great location and love that it is dog friendly, but would not stay here again due to the issues mentioned above.

I have stayed here a lot over the past few years. I was there the other day and it didn't go well. They stuffed me into a small inside room ($219) after raising the price $60 since a few months ago. This building is clean, but sterile. There's no life. I went for a massage but the place closed at 3:00 PM! - No refrigerator in rooms. - No microwave oven. - Higher room rates. - No dining facilities on site. - No water refill stations. - No dining options. I will explore other options for our next stay.

Great location in Glenwood Springs. Free access to the hotel across the way that has a springs pool. Attached brew pub has great food, coffee shop also attached, but hours are limited. As for the hotel itself, desk staff is complacent, housekeeping will only replace towels, toilets are made for children and lack water saving feature, beds are uncomfortable. On the bright side, rooms are clean and functional.

We booked our reservation on the phone with the hotel directly and we were told that parking was included in the cost of $293. Upon arrival we found that sections of the hotel were under complete renovation, which we were not informed of over the phone. The front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. The room was completely outdated, and not in a quaint, beautiful way. We called at 10 pm to complain about furniture being moved around for over 15 minutes in what we thought was the room above us. The front desk response was "There is no one in the room above you". They did nothing about the noise. We were then charged an additional $20 for parking which is across the street and down the hill. We never used their parking lot, as their is plenty of parking on the street. I called regarding the parking charge; the person told me they would refund it, however we never received the refund. We would not recommend this hotel. It is extremely overpriced for an outdated hotel with a rude staff.

Beat expectations! Rooms are renovated with modern amenities. Bed is very comfortable. The hotel is old with lots of character. Great location in the middle of downtown Glenwood Springs! Exactly what you’d hope for when staying in Colorado. Would stay again!

The location is amazing and the air conditioning and heater in the room work great, but that's about all I have to say about the hotel that is good. We paid over $200 thinking it would be a cute historic hotel. The rooms are very basic and you wouldn't know you were in an older building except for maybe part of one wall is brick. We were exhausted after a week in Moab and wanted to take a soak in the bathtub. There was a large clump of the previous guest's hair in the drain. With the bathtub obviously not cleaned we didn't end up soaking but did take long showers. There is no fan in the bathroom to vent steam from the shower so the bedroom was quickly too muggy to sleep. We ended up turning on the air conditioner to get the moisture out of the room and then turning on the heat to warm up the room again. There is only one chair with one spot at a desk/counter. We had a king bedroom and were only provided one cup and two towel sets. (Hotels typically have two towel sets per guest.) Everything just seemed like they were doing the bare minimum that they could get away with. Could have had this same hotel experience for half the price somewhere else.

Outstanding stay for us. We were traveling with dogs and had a room with two windows and lots of space. The front desk team was incredible accommodating and helped us with our special requests. The location was outstanding, as well as the included parking in an adjacent lot. Close walking distance to some of the top restaurants in town, including The Pullman next door which was outstanding. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Glenwood Springs.

My mom and I went for her 75th birthday. We had a beautiful room. The hotel has a lot of charm. Petal at the front desk was AMAZING. She is thoughtful kind and warm. The rest of the staff were very nice. We enjoyed going to the River Blend and the brew pub. Stop by Mona Lisa’s. Lisa is a lovely person. The hotel is well situated. But a grocery store is not very close. I walked it just fine but my mother was not able to. It was about a 20 min walk or so. It’s very close to restaurants and across the street from Amtrak. We loved it so much we stayed another night.

Great location. Fun historic building in the heart of downtown glenwood springs. Room had a tiny bathroom and subpar coffee setup. Parking was tricky. Unfortunately majority of the front desk attendants were not helpful and seemed perturbed when we asked for help.

Beautiful rooms with comfy beds and bedding. Exposed brick in many rooms with art and tasteful decoration. Despite this rooms include TVs and other modern amenities. Beautiful town and mountain views. Easy access to all the spas and other activities. Only minor issue was infrequent room service meaning it was hard to get new towels or trash emptied.

Stayed for one night, it was ok but overpriced. The room was spacious and clean, beds are comfortable. The style with the combination of a chandalier and the industrial air vent pipes was a bit strange for me. The windows can't be opened and there is no storage space in the bathroom. Staff was friendly during check-in, but not in the morning on check-out.

The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay, we decided to extend our stay by a night last minute and they made this very easy for us. The location is great, right by the majority of restaurants in Glenwood Springs. The room was nicely presented, clean and comfortable, the only downside was that the air con was a bit noisy. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Glenwood!

Great location and had a nice room! We've been staying at the hotel for 15 plus years but did notice some missed ammenties during this stay. You now have to pay for parking in their lot. Also, no complimentary bottled water and pool package not as a nice. Used to get a nice tote bag with water and towels. Sometimes, its the lil things that keep you coming back

I use to be local to Glenwood. On my tips back I always wanted to stay at the Hotel Denver. It has been redone and done very well. But pretty isn't quality. There was a dog (yapping dog) in the room down the hall. When you have hardwood floors and hard walls you should require the owners to take the dog with them when they leave. The mattress is a big soft mattress that has a hole in it from overuse. The bed needs to be leveled. My feet were higher than my head. The TV had parental blocks on it blocking the news channels (Grand Junction, Denver, and national channels but not all. The block also blocked movies by ratings and channels. When I called the front desk to get a code to reset (10:50 pm), the attendant told me it was impossible and that they don't block channels in an argumentive tone. They gave me a great deal but the discount was not worth it. $181.00 for the night. Very disappointing.

Was a wonderful little hotel with fun history. Fantastic location, easy to find parking (they also provided paid parking), super clean and cozy room. Walking distance to shops, food, even a grocery store. They allowed dogs which was a huge relief. A treat for just passing through town. Our only complaints are that we had hardly any amenities (no fridge, hot water kettle, pool/hot tub) yet the room was priced as if there were these amenities. Looks like the hotel was remodeled in the 80s since it had some tacky modern for the 80s updates (office tile ceiling in the bathroom).

Beautiful historic hotel in the middle of downtown Glenwood Springs. Incredible front desk staff who were friendly and accommodating! We asked for a room change, and they were gracious enough to update our room at no additional charge. I highly recommend staying in room 301! This is a must stay if you are in Glenwood Springs. Thank you to Mia, Merilee, and Hayden!

Excellent stay at Hotel Denver on our honeymoon. We had an adorable split level room and loved everything about it. The staff were friendly, made recommendations, and it was easy to check in/out and park. The hotel is walking distance to town and the adventure park (if you’re up for a bit of a stroll). We had an incredible time!

It's historic, in other words, not like modern accommodations. Our room had a sitting room and a bedroom. Not large but not cramped with a couch, table, bedroom furniture. The front lobby and area to the left and up a few steps has some unusual and interesting articles. Glenwood Springs has a small downtown area with shops and restaurants. On one side of The Hotel Denver is a good restaurant, on the other side is a good breakfast place that opened at 6:00am and both are accessible from inside the hotel. The walk to Glenwood Springs pool is just across the bridge and a pleasant experience. Parking is on the street or $20 per night to park in a parking lot.

Have been staying here for years, last time I reviewed I gave it 5 stars. Used to love this hotel. Had to downgrade from 5 stars to 3. Not sure what has happened, but the amenities are not what they used to be. Feels like they have had a change in ownership. Paid for a premium room, but was given the smallest room I have ever had here. Not much more space than a closet. Should not have been in the premium category. The bathroom floor did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. There were urine salts under the waste basket next to the toilet. The floor in the room had greasy food residue left from the prior tenants. Probably just ran a vacuum over the wood floor. Parking used to be free, they now charge $20 per day (in my opinion, that's pretty steep for a small town.) They no longer offer pool passes (they seem to be in bed with Iron Mountain Hot Springs and Amusement Park, and are aggressively pushing those venues.) Liked coming up during the week, but Wednesdays and Thursdays are now completely booked by the Rocky Mountaineer. Can no longer book a mid-week stay. Apparently they book all the premium rooms, which were still being cleaned when we got there on Friday. Consequently, even though you are now coming up on the weekend you still get what's left over. To top it off, the weekend we were there, they were holding drag races in the street next to the Hotel at 2:30 AM. So much for the quiet mountain town. Probably won't be going back, there are other places to stay in Glenwood. I have heard that they re-did all of the rooms at Hotel Colorado. Might be worth another look.

We rode the train from Provo Utah to Glenwood Springs CO. Hotel Denver is extremely convenient to this historic train station. Right across a narrow street. Both the hotel and the train station are located in the most perfect area of town. Beautiful views in every direction and within walking distance to endless restaurants and shopping. The room was upgraded and very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again.

One of the highlights of our vacation to the Western Slope to see family was staying in Glenwood Springs at the Hotel Denver for one night. It is a highly unique hotel that also allowed our dog traveling with us to stay as well. It is truly a gem! However, while I appreciate the vintage ambience, I think that vintage beds go a little too far. Normal beds on a vintage frame would certainly have allowed us to get more than five hours of sleep. Other than that, everything about our stay was excellent and would recommend just for the historic experience especially if you're not staying long!

Friendly front desk clerks and a clean and well equipped room. Unfortunately I left a new pair of headphones in the room and when I contacted the hotel (same day I checked out) they promised to look and give me a call back. No call back. No headphones back. Hope someone enjoys that new pair of headphones!

Fun historic hotel in the busy heart of this pretty mountain town. Experimental IPA on nitro was a treat - attached brewery is well worth a visit. Rooms are clean and bed was extremely comfortable.

We were booked for 3 nights at Hotel Colorado. However, our room was dark, dismal, lacking in basic amenities, and needed repairs not to mention updates. Stopped in at Hotel Denver. We were checked in immediately. Extremely professional and friendly front desk help, super clean and modern, spacious room, quiet, and convenient location to DT amenities. HIGHLY recommend this place. We will definitely book with Hotel Denver when we visit again.
