You can’t beat this location if your primary reason to visit is the hot springs! With your room you’ll get passes for all guest to the springs. We were able to get our passes early before check in so we could maximize our time at the pool. Since we were swimming two days it was worth the higher room rates than hotels down the road. We could easily park at the hotel and not have to fight for a spot in the pool lot. Location allows us to walk back and forth to the room for breaks especially during the summer when it gets really hot. The additional free breakfast is also excellent. They make the food to order not sitting around all morning. Hotel Colorado does not offer complimentary breakfast and it’s expensive so another reason paying a little more is worth it to stay here. Rooms are great, freshly renovated, well decorated, very clean. All have balconies with drying racks for towels and suits. Quick walk over the bridge to all the restaurants. If your primarily doing the hot springs pool look no further.

I don’t have any issue with the hotel, staff, or hot springs pool. They were fine. But close to $800 for a two night stay that didn’t include a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday? Never again, I don’t see the value. *My response to the owners response* There were three people in our party. Three of us went to the pool one time, and one person returned for a second time. While we were at the pool for a few hours each, that’s $160. Meaning my room for two nights was still $600 or so. For a place to sleep. I easily could have accomplished that somewhere else for less money and just visited the pool and many closed attractions. As I just brought up, a small pool is under construction and not yet completed, AND, the Sopris Splash Zone and Shoshone Chutes were BOTH closed both days we were there. The provided towels were so-so, and we didn’t eat breakfast there. So when you talk about comparable value, again, I don’t see it. It’s a historic, warmish pool with a sulphur odor, and nice, average, hotel rooms. This is where we agree to disagree.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Our 2 queen room was really small, but we loved being close to the pools and it is included in the price of the room. We really enjoyed going to the pool on our 3 day stay. The included Breakfast is okay. They don’t have many options available so after the second day of eating there you get bored and don’t know what to order. Also, they offer coffee and hot tea only in the mornings and not all day like in most hotels.

The rooms were very small, my family of 5 only got one person showered before the hot water ran out which wasn’t surprising considering the “hot” springs were no warmer than a heated pool. We had their breakfast at The Grill and it did taste pretty good until I bit into a hairball. Hairball not a strand a whole gob. Needless to say I lost my appetite. The hotel and springs are absolutely NOT worth the price. You could pay far less and go to a recreation center for the same thing. If you’re looking for real hot springs I recommend Iron Mountain. You could also save yourself some money if you decide to go anyways and stay at a better priced hotel since you’ll be walking about a block to enter the hot springs anyways. We stayed there because we thought it was an immediate entrance to the springs but there wasn’t even a private entrance from the hotel like it says, you can ,however; exit privately towards the hotel which is still quite a walk. We could rarely reach the front desk and it was almost always empty when we walked up. All in all this was our worst trip to Glenwood and we will definitely make better arrangements in the future.

My experience in Glenwood Spring Lodge was great. The breakfast was amazing with daily special menu. The price of room is very cheap compared to the services. Every staff at this hotel was kind and respectful. The location of the hotel was great as well. It was only 5 minutes walk to the downtown through walking bridge. The temperature of spring was wonderful and relaxing. I would recommend to stay at this place if anyone is planning on visiting Glenwood spring.

Super easy to find. Check-in was easy enough except there is a lot of information and we were waiting in line almost 20 minutes. We stayed one night but did get to check in early! The room was beautiful with a king bed and balcony. Very clean and spacious. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The pool was just what we needed for some time to relax and just enjoy nature. We did get breakfast in the morning which was simple and very delicious and nice that you can go straight to the pool after. Check-out being at noon gives you plenty of time for morning activities. All in all really great stay.

I struggled with the rating. The rooms were pretty nice. Beds were comfy however we questioned how well they were cleaned when in the morning we found a bobby pin in the bed and we did not have any bobby pins that we even brought. We were pretty disappointed with the walk to the hot springs pool. Although not a super long walk, it was long enough when it is 32° outside. Yes, you read that right. You walk outside in your swimsuit, robe, and flip flops. There is no bar to enjoy a cocktail while soaking although I'm pretty certain their website said there was. The hot spring pools are so amazing. It feels so great to just float. It is an experience everyone should have once. The sulphur smell can be overwhelming at times but you get used to it. While visiting the nearby Yampah Spa we were told there is a newer hot spring pool hotel that is nicer and you can enjoy a cocktail while soaking. If we return we will probably check out the new location.

We rode the train into Glenwood and did not have a car. The hotel was a convenient walk to the pool and area restaurants. It was nice to have the breakfast and pool admission included as part of the room. The room was clean and suited our needs.

Everything was nice. The hot springs access and breakfast are a bit of a hike. It would be nice to be able to enter through the lodge side rather than walking down the street and around. If you have any health issues or bad knees, just be aware , the amenities are not convenient to get to. It would be nice if they had a golf cart service for people in need of some extra help. The breakfast food itself was good just make sure you reserve your table early. Overall a good experience. The price was high for the lack of amenities at the location in my opinion. Staff was nice and helpful.

Based on amenities, this property is more of a 3+ star than a 2 star. Although sort of expensive, our room included full passes to the heated springs for 2 days ($160 value). The room was fairly large with a king size bed and a nice balcony with a view. The bathroom had a tub shower that was well designed with grab bars and a fairly low step into the tub. The sink area was very well designed. I appreciated that here were lots of electrical outlets in the room and it appeared there was a sophisticated audio visual panel for the large TV. The breakfast across the street was limited in choices as it seemed to be designed for efficiency. However, the food was good and the service was excellent. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The few odd quirks can be overlooked. There is no direct access to the pools from the hotel--it requires a short walk. Eating facilities are very limited and nothing available for dinner except snacks at a grill over at the hot springs. We chose to walk up the street to eat at the Hotel Colorado where the food was excellent.

We stay here annually and it is consistent. We love being close to the pool and it is included in the price of the room. We think the rooms have gone up a lot in the last few years which makes it more difficult to continue being a loyal customer.

I'm giving it four stars because for what I paid for the stay, I would have expected a better breakfast option. The food was ok; it was like every other continental breakfast. I would think they would have a lovely dining room where you could order an excellent breakfast. The options for a hot breakfast were minimal. My husband ordered chicken fried steak and said it was comparable to what we could buy in the grocery store. Otherwise, the hotel was terrific. It was nice that the hot springs were included in our stay. The rooms were lovely.

Very fun place to stay! Rooms are nice, not the nicest but totally nice enough. You probably won't even be in your room much with how amazing the pool is. The hotel is a little spendy, but the free pool access really makes it worth it. Free hot breakfast is a great perk too! One of the best and coolest pools I've ever been in, highly recommended.

I love Glenwood. They are doing some renovations on the therapy pool, and it looks like it's going to be an awesome improvement once finished. The large pool was great as always, and they heated the newer kids pool to make up for the closure of the therapy pool. The kids nicked named it people soup because it was a bit crowded but still fun to get in. We spent most of our time in the big pool and swam for hours. I highly recommend a visit to Glenwood, it helps rejuvenate the soul. The new therapy pool is reopening in May, and I look forward to another visit.

It's been a couple of years since we've been to Glenwood but the first time we stayed at the resort. The resort was great. The room was really comfy. We weren't very excited about The Grill. Our breakfast tasted like a dirty grill. 😔 It would have been great to have a direct walk to the pool too. When it is cold, us wimps find the walk long. Also, the pool want as warm as I remembered from past visits. 🤷‍♀️ Just our thoughts, every experience is different. We had fun walking downtown and eating at the local restaurants.

It all about location today. This place is in the perfect spot and the hot springs pool is part of it. Which is amazing. We took the California Zephyr there and simply walked everywhere we went. It had the perfect location for a home base. I would strongly recommend.

We had a delightful time at this lodge. A stay here includes a very nice breakfast and unlimited admission to the hot springs pool across the street. They sent a car to pick us up at the train station and bring us to the lodge (and they also transported us back to the train station at the end of our stay). It's just a short walk to town from there. Our room was comfortable, but we found that it was dimly lit. There were no luggage racks in the room. All of the staff were very friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was alright, but everything else was fantastic. Great room. The 400 foot pool was so nice at 92 degrees, with lap sections and even a diving board. The therapy pool was a glorious 104 degrees with built in lounge chairs in the water complete with jets. The water doesn't smell like other hot springs, but it is very salty due to all the minerals. Gotta go back in a year when they've completed construction on another 5 or so pools.

Great place for an anniversary or family vacation. Very accommodating staff secured our luggage until check-in time. Very helpful with planning local outings and restaurants. Ceilings in halls and rooms are sort of low for tall people. The room safe malfunctioned, but the manager opened it for us quickly. The poolside grille was the low point of our stay. Breakfast was included, but a short walk to Village Inn was preferable. Lunch at the grille was just sad. This morning we watched a worker clean ketchup bottles with his bare hands licking his fingers as he went. He opened a new ketchup bottle seal with his teeth.

Great place and deal if you are there to use the Hot Springs! Well kept and comfortable. Only complaint was the breakfast. They were running out of things and had to wait a while for the food.

Inside the room was okay, very outdated, beds were uncomfortable, but the location and view were magnificent. Staff are friendly, nice, and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful large hot springs / pool, my kids loved the kiddie pool and slides. The free Breakfast was yummy and I recommended early 7 am reservations so it’s not crowded. It’s about a five minute walk to the pools/ the grill where there’s breakfast. The hotel was nice, not fancy but felt clean.

Great service and an incredible hot springs pool! This was our first time at this resort. We stayed the weekend, primarily because we really wanted to try the hot springs pool. From the moment we checked in through to checking out, great service! The hotel is clean, as well as the pool area. The staff was considerate and helpful. We also liked how easy it was to walk the few minutes on the bridge to get to downtown Glenwood Springs. The entire town is charming and we're looking forward to coming back again soon.

As Colorado natives, we have been coming to Glenwood Springs for years and this is the first time we've stayed at the Hot Springs Lodge. The rooms are a bit dated but they are very clean and had everything we needed, comfortable beds, a small fridge, a microwave and a decent TV. We really loved that the pool and breakfast were included because that saved a significant amount of money. We have stayed at The Hotel Colorado and the Hotel Denver and both were just as pricey but did not include the pool or meals. It was so convenient to walk across the street to the pool and leaving the pool was even easier. The staff were all very cordial and friendly. We will definitely be back to stay at the Hot Springs Lodge again!!

The hot spring was amazing. The rooms were like a usual hotel room, we had a great view, but they seemed a bit older. The location is gorgeous, I am excited to see the renovations at a later date. People were super friendly. My kids loved the therapy pool and the hot spring, the hours for the slides are aggravating because we can’t check in until 4, got out stuff out and I’m the room and the slides closed at 6. Then we had to check out in the morning and the slides don’t open until 11. Not sure if that’s to get you to stay longer, which I will next time, but my kids missed out on that section because of the wonky hours. Otherwise awesome place, food was good, and the scenic view is amazing.

Location is the best and the price of the pool is included. Check your entitlement at the door. The services for a place like this are great. Sure, everything isn't going to be perfect, but did you really visit to sit inside your hotel room? Why bother coming?

I have been coming to the Glenwood Hot Springs pool! Largest hot springs in the world. For over 50 years it’s my favorite place in America to go. And I’ve been staying at the Hot Springs Lodge since they built it before that I stayed next-door at the hotel Colorado historic hotel which is also awesome. The Hot Springs Lodge includes a free breakfast free pool passes and free robes and towels for the pool. Very nice rooms you can request a room facing the pool so you have a good view they also have great parking including some underground parking which I just used because it was snowing as I just got home from a trip in January. They are open year round! The healing water sure felt good when I was young and now that I’m in my early 70s! Also coffee in the lobby in the morning. Some rooms have balconies and there are also washers and dryers on the third floor. I highly recommend it and will continue to stay there hopefully for many more years. Super nice staff.

It’s a lodge that is the best for your money. 1) we got a room it was clean and in good shape 2) sheets are also clean 3) breakfast is included if you want. NO gluten-free breakfast options. Unfortunately, we got stuck in the room next to the office. Horrible. I don’t recommend that room. If you’re a light sleeper, you can hear the entire staff conversation. Someone checks in you’re also in the lobby with them 😣

Absolutely stunning scenery ngl. The breakfast and lunch at the pool grill are awesome. And whenever the shoots are open (usually late spring to early fall) it's always a blast. The rest of the town and subsequent restaurants aren't too far away bit will give you a bit of a scenic walk which is always great. Been coming here damn near every 6 months since i was 12. 4.5 out 10, would recommend.

We had an issue with booking a suite, it was 2 adjoining rooms. Not the typical suite. They worked with us for 2 nights but did not discount the other night for only using one room. There was also black mold on our bathroom door, and a mold cover up job on the ceiling. My hands were extremely swollen to to the mold and breathing issues. In was extremely uncomfortable bringing to the managers attention considering the service I received when trying to rectify the room situation. I also thought it was inappropriate a staff never to me how to fox the water contraption in the lobby rather than coming to fix it for me. The rooms are over priced and outdated. The rest of the staff and housekeeping was wonderful. My child loves the children's area and had a wonderful time. The hotspring is also loaded with chlorine ! I wouldn't say you can reap all of the benefits if it's full of chemicals

  • 4/5 Robert F. 1 year ago on Google
Good location next to hot springs. Decent breakfast options but too heavy on the pork. The room had some minor issues, lamps not plugged in and screen door was off. No late checkout available. I recommend staying next door at the Hotel Chicago as it has a much nicer atmosphere for couples and more history. This hotel is not really worth the cost unless you are 4 or more in the room.

This hotel was lovely. The staff was very attentive and kind. The breakfast was plentiful. The pool was simply amazing and everyone made me feel special. Very close to nice restaurants and bars. Will stay again any time.

So soothing and relaxing...can accommodate anyone. Very self serving...no issues at all..loved the hot springs as well as the other pool..it's still pretty warm too ...wish we had shot springs right here in Denver💕they give you 2 towels...make sure you bring your thongs for your feet😉. The have a breakfast bar at the pool...not every item you might want, but enough of a variety to be accommodating...we were just fine with a quick bite of food, and there are plenty of restaurants near by to bring some wonderful dining experiences

  • 3/5 Colleen P. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are clean and spacious, but dated. The grounds are nice, with a nice sitting area outside with beautiful views of the mountains. Comfortable beds. The hot springs were nice, but we came on a Saturday and half the springs were under renovation. Lots of kids. The hotel staff were professional and friendly. The pool staff were mediocre at best, if not a bit rude at times. I was hoping for more from this lodge given the price.
