You get what you pay for in an expensive town. Bed was comfortable and clean, shower fixtures were loose in the wall but function good, could barley hear the neighbors. The basic hotel amenities, nothing fancy, good breakfast, staff is very helpful. Only really negative thing I could say would be that the carpet is absolutely disgusting, it looks clean enough but I took a shower and was only walking around in the room barefoot packing up then when I went to put my sandals on the bottom of my feet were black... please do a deep carpet wash or get new flooring. Otherwise I had a great stay.

Was really surprised by how underwhelmed we were by the hotel. We get a 12-cup coffee pot but One-Cup coffee pouches to put in it. The free breakfast doesn’t even include scrambled eggs. The pillows were so odd - large, small, and seemed to filled with straw. And oh, the ANTS! We had ants in our bathroom!!! We thought getting the “honeymoon” suite might afford a little bit more amenities than that. #buyerbeware

Great place to stay. This is family owned hotel. They maintain it very well. Kim is friendly person & ensures good service for visitors. Rooms are clean & neat. Breakfast was nice. I recommend staying here.

I only require a comfortable bed, a working bathroom and a clean room but was disappointed to find none of these at the Silver Spruce. This motel is super adorable and could be a retro gem. It has an excellent location too. The downside is it is the worst maintained, dirtiest, and most run down place I could imagine. I planned to stay here for an extended period of time because I’m working in Glenwood springs but canceled because I was having allergies from the dirty room. Originally I was given a double queen room. It was ok. It was a bit dirty and I saw a couple of bugs that i suspected were bedbugs but I didn’t want to overreact. They kept me there for a week and a few days. Then they moved me to the budget room because this was the room I had reserved and one had become available. It was very dirty. In addition plumbing was in desperate need of repair. The shower wasn’t draining, the toilet wasn’t working well (It required a practice flush because the flipper was worn out). The carpet was covered in dirty spots. The walls had dark streaks. The mattress was thin, uncomfortable and worn out. I also observed possible signs of bedbugs. The one night I managed to stay in that room was miserable. I even considered sleeping in my car. I don’t usually write reviews unless I love a business and want to help. Especially local places but I wish I had seen more accurate reviews while searching for accommodations. Also I hope that the owners of the Silver Spruce take this into consideration and do some much needed maintenance on this property. The lady who helped me at the front desk was kind and understanding.

Great place. Very nice staff and exceptionally clean rooms. Not a lot of frills but a great price for a stay in Glenwood and it included a free breakfast. Also, a close walk from the train station and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give them five stars for the superb service. But the room was very dated and damp, with broken blinds and an air conditioner with a mind of its own. Can’t say enough nice things about the staff, though!

The room was really nice. I liked everything except maybe the ice machine. It's that kind where you just have a big bin of ice you can dig through. I have no idea if Kevin Malone already put his feet in there after he wore tissue boxes to the wedding.

It was convenient to places we needed to go. The staff was great. The outside was beautiful. Now the reason for three stars. 1. Way over priced for the king honeymoon room. The door as you can see on the picture let in all the little bugs. The lamp shade was broken till the husband fixed it for them. The rooms are seriously out dated and honestly I hate the fact that we paid as much as we did for this room. We will not be back to this place next time we come to Glensprings. It doesn’t even deserve the three stars I have it but I had to do it as the staff was great and the location was perfect.

Rooms were clean and functional. Easy to find parking. The beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. Glenwood Hot Springs was a long awaited trip for my family. We came here to relax and rejuvenate. Very hard to do when trying to sleep on hard beds and waking up sore and in pain. Location is somewhat walkable to the pool.

We enjoyed our stay very, very much! This place had everything we needed! If you're picky or looking for a "perfect" room, you may not be happy here because the rooms are quite dated. The tile in the kitchenette doesn't match the bathroom, and there's a funky floral border all around the top of the walls that looks like it might be from the 80's. That being said, the rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent! Every staff person we've encountered has been very professional and friendly. The night we arrived, our room was missing a plug for the bathtub. We informed them and the response was immediate! The man at the desk provided a plug that unfortunately was to small, but when he gave it to me he said he would have the maintenance person come with other options. He made an appearance within an hour with another drain plug. :) The breakfast room met expectations for a continental breakfast; There are plenty of tables and comfortable chairs, orange juice, coffee and cappuccino options, bagels, toast, dry cereal and instant oatmeal, waffles and muffins. They also had hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh bananas and oranges. My only disappointment with the breakfast is that there were no whole wheat or high fiber options, such as raisin bran or whole grain bagels or toast. The office and conference/ breakfast rooms are decorated with beautiful murals which were hand painted by a local artist! The ambiance is pleasant and welcoming with live plants along the way, here and there. As far as lodging goes, I am pleased with our accomodations. Our room includes a good sized refrigerator, a two element cook top, coffee pot and microwave. And there's excellent storage. We have a table and chairs, and a separate sink area for cooking. The a/c - heater works well. And the views of the mountains are stunning! Based on my experience, I would stay here again, and gladly recommend this Inn to others!!

Unfortunately the owner stopped investing in this hotel a long time ago. The room and everything in it looked like it's been there since the 80's. The beds were worn out, no curtains just cheap plastic blinds, the bathroom was a patchwork of multiple repairs and quick fixes. The couch should have gone to the dump a decade ago. This would have been ok-ish if the room had been clean, but it wasn't. We found hairs on the bedsheets and food crumbs on the floor. So why two stars and not just one? Location. It's easy to get to anywhere in Glenwood from the hotel. I wish they would revamp this place, it has so much potential.

Excellent hotel! The rooms were very spacious and clean. We stayed in a deluxe room with two queen beds in the main room, with an additional queen bed in a separate room. This was the perfect arrangement for our family traveling with teenagers. The entire grounds of the hotel have been meticulously maintained. There are beautiful flowers throughout the property which added a lovely touch to our stay. The staff were incredibly kind and polite. Breakfast was good, simple cold offerings with a waffle maker. This is our new place to stay in Glenwood! Update: We stayed in the condo style rooms this stay. Kitchen with full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric kettle along with all dishes, glasses and utensils. Features a large living room and dining area with two separate bedrooms with queen beds. Decor is dated but the room is comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed our stay and will return!

The 2 stars were for the kind Front Desk Staff and the location. Overall the property was quiet and comfortable. However, I never felt comfortable or clean in the rooms. NO stars for: *first room I checked into, incredibly dirty. Bathtub not scrubbed, stains on walls, dust, sink not clean, carpet not vacuumed and when I came back from dinner after check in, the room reeked of pot smoke. *second room I checked into seemed in better condition but found a long hair inside folded hand towels and hair on one of the beds. Carpet was also not vacuumed and the bathroom fan was very dirty. At least the tub and sink were clean in the second room! The hotel was old and I wasn’t expecting a 5 star Ritz Carlton. However, I do expect rooms to be clean. This stay was a disappointment and I would not choose to stay here again.

Huge amazing rooms for a decent price. We had a room with two bedrooms and a full kitchen. Nice views, even just in the parking lot, of the surrounding mountains. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff. Easy walking distance to anywhere downtown. Nothing is more than a few blocks away.

We were able to book a room when we arrived in town., prices are very reasonable. The staff/owner are friendly & accommodating. Clean rooms, Close to town, within walking distance to most places. Genuinely a nice affordable place to stay. We will be back.

Great place with really big rooms. I was pleasantly surprised with rooms. They had two queen beds in one with separate with bed of our own. I really enjoyed staying there, we were just passing by so we didn't stay for longer but it was really nice and wished other places had amenities like this. Staff was really good and attentive and any time I am passing here, I will make a point to stop here. Public pool with hot water is not that far and this is really nice place to stay.

Beautiful little inn located in a perfect place that allows you to walk anywhere downtown. The employees are all amazing. The outside is very well kept with beautiful flowers everywhere. Rooms are a little rundown with very soft mattresses and pillows but overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed at the Silver Spruce Motel last week with my family (6 nights in total). Stayed in the suite and absolutely loved it. Spacious and convenient room. Rooms were always cleaned and maintained to a very high standard. WiFi was fast and worked on multiple devices. Was able to stream videos as well as get work done. Breakfast was also great. Overall a very nice experience. Those working at the hotel were also very kind and understanding people. Great location (walking distance to hot springs/park).

Really clean and comfortable. We were able to get 3 beds and were delighted to see one bed was in its own room…with a door. Exciting after 7 days of camping with the kids! The only downside is the styrofoam cups, plates, and plastic utensils in the breakfast room. Bring your own if you care about the environment.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Dark room, very low sink countertop, everything is old and outdated. There are currently construction workers who live here for a while. Loud, noisy, late music or TV. TV connection sucks - very slow, kept freezing or didn't start. No discounts to hot springs like some other hotels have. Breakfast is so so. Good mattress. Nice staff. Will not stay here next time for sure.

The fireplaces made the room very cozy. Good location - within walking distance of downtown Glenwood. Affordable, easy checkin/checkout, friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Will stay here again.

Place is definitely a little run down...but our room was clean and staff was froendly. Our bed was located right by the bathroom wall so when people on top flushed their toilet it seemed like the water is running in your ears...so loud! Super uncomfortable pillows, feels like you're sleeping on stairs. Breakfast was really bad, green eggs cheap bread and watered down coffee.

Just came back from Glenwood, stayed at Silver Spruce Inn, was a cute little place close to town and walking distance to all amenities. Front desk lady was friendly and very helpful telling us of locations to see near Rifle Falls. Breakfast consisted of bananas or oranges, boiled eggs, bagels, toast or waffles, 2 cereal options, instant oat meal, yogurt, milk, oj, coffee, cappuccino and they had homemade cakes every morning. Room was clean, bed was very firm, woke up a lot due during the night to being so firm and body was sore every morning. Bathroom door and main door squeaks so if you are sleeping will get woke up if someone opens and closes the doors. We had no issues with noise other guest noise but it also was not their busy season so not many families with children staying there. Would highly recommend going to Glenwood before summer break.

6 guys on motorcycles. Stayed one night. Staff at check in and checkout were friendly and quick. Rooms were clean and beds were good. One of the three rooms had a problem with the air conditioning but staff fixed it right away. The problem persisted and a new room was offered. Stayed on a Friday in June 2022 We had a reservation and the hotel filled up that evening. Continental breakfast was ok waffles bananas yogurt muffins and bagels. Something for everyone in our group. Would stay again

I booked the King Honeymoon Suite in December of 2022 and I would highly recommend seeking another place to stay. The interior hasn't been renovated since the 70's if I had to guess and the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable with at least 3 different types of pillows sizes and shapes, all uncomfortable. they only provided 1 full sized towel in the "honeymoon suite" and didn't even provide hand soap. There was a full sized coffee pot for some reason but no coffee.. Additionally, the room was very poorly cleaned and there was a layer of dust on all of the lamps and curtains. Some how the room only provided a single wall outlet which was literally by the door which is where we had to charge our phones. For the amount of money they charge I was extremely disappointed in this place. I usually don't leave reviews or like to complain but I felt compelled in this case to hopefully save someone from this place. You are better off at the Hilton or La Quinta which are literally on the same block.

The rooms were nice, and pretty clean. It's an older spot but, if you're in Glenwood it fits the feel that you would want up there. Parking gets a bit crammed but, no one messes with your stuff. Breakfast could be a bit better as they really only had fruit and waffles. Overall Review, I really enjoyed my stay.
