First time coming here and wow is the food and the views gorgeous! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and my husband ordered the western bbq burger with fries. Great food and our waitress is super nice! Something unique about this restaurant was the menus. The menus were printed on newspaper and I absolutely loved the idea! (If only there were jokes/crossword puzzles too lol!). Plenty of parking and the interior decor phenomenal! Overall I strongly recommend Black Bear Diner! Fantastic place!

Haley was one of the best servers I've had in a long time! Can't ask for any more than service with a smile and a laugh. It's sad to see someone yell at this young lady for the inconvenience of not having something! Hopefully her day will get a lot better.

First time eating at a Black Bear Diner and I'm so glad we did! From the service to the food you can't go wrong enjoying a meal here! You get so much food for a great price and it's just delicious! The service is just as great as the food, friendly and helpful workers here that just take the experience to another level. Absolutely keep doing what you're doing here because it's incredible! Can't wait to return to try some of the other delicious items on the menu!

Once again black bear diner doesn’t disappoint! I made my family of 11 drive 30 minutes out of our way in the opposite direction of where we were headed; just to eat here and it was absolutely worth it! This is the first restaurant I’ve ever seen my sister in law say the eggs were perfected! Our waiter Eric handled our group like a champ! Drinks were always full and he got our order correct the first time! Delicious food, amazing service, quick and efficient, quality of food and presentation was all worth it! If you stop here, ask for Eric to be your waiter. He won’t do you wrong!

1st time here, on way home from the lake were looking for a good brunch spot, this seemed to fit the bill.... IT DID! For a holiday and at lunch rush our party of 5 was seated fast; our server was very friendly and the menu options are plentiful! Food tasted great and they offer military discount, cool 80s style ambience, will surely return!

Great Saturday morning breakfast with the family! Ordered the Volcano...so good! I definitely recommend and will be back. Our server, Sarah, was fantastic and made our meal so enjoyable! She took the time to chat with my daughter and ensured our meal was accurate and served hot. Great job, Sarah! My daughter's favorite breakfast spot is IHOP but had this to say afterwards, "Black Bear Diner is my favorite place to go to breakfast now!"

We've eaten here several times and I'd say overall the service is ok and the food is good. We have had great service and delicious food a couple of times, and the prices are very reasonable, which is why I give it 5 stars. Yesterday we popped in for lunch and everything was wonderful - the best visit we've experienced so far! I ordered the patty melt with a veggie burger patty (instead of meat), and it was delicious! The kids meals are generously sized and priced, which I really appreciate. So many places have such small kids meals at steep prices. The service was fantastic! The biscuits and gravy are the best around, in my opinion. The environment is cozy, furnished well with comfy and cleans tables and chairs. There is wheel-chair access, too. A great family spot for good food at fair prices - that can be hard to find these days!

The food was delicious. Generous portion sizes. We couldn't eat it all. My husband ordered The Grizz. The pancakes were so light & fluffy. Two people could split this meal. I had the Breakfast Sliders with the hot Italian sausage. It was very good.

First time hitting this chain, but also local favorite. The people inside are friendly and it's a cute homey atmosphere. We were seated right away even though it looked busy from the outside. The food is pretty good, but lacked strong flavors overall for me. You get a lot or bang for your buck here as far as food goes. They also offer a slight military discount which is super nice as well. Overall a good experience besides the flavor of the food.

Amazing breakfast! Awesome service and wish their was one in my city! We we're seated immediately and promptly asked for our drinks... Never had to ask for coffee which is always a plus. My plate was huge! Would definitely be back if I'm in the area!

Plan to share the biscuits and gravy here! Well worth the 20 minute wait. Their menu is extensive and was cooked just right.

This place was/is AWSOME. this is my new favorite place. It's all you can't eat, plan on a to go box, because the servings are HUGE!!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an amazing breakfast at The Black Bear diner in Fountain, Colorado, and I have to say that it was an experience I won't soon forget. The Denver omelette was simply awesome - perfectly cooked and loaded with delicious ingredients that made every bite awesome. But what really made the experience stand out was the outstanding service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that my every need was taken care of. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast experience. The Denver omelette was excellent, and the service was truly outstanding.

This is our second time going and I have to say it’s been a wonderful experience! Cindy was are server and if I could give her 10 stars I would. She was such a lovely lady, and just amazing overall. The food came out timely and it was all very tasty!

I hate to give a 1 star review but I was very disappointed on this visit. Service was okay but food came out almost completely uncooked. The eggs were watery and you could still see the whites. Hashbrowns weren't even browned. Just a pile of uncooked shredded potatoes.

This was my first time eating here. The cinnamon bun french toast was amazing! I also liked their spicy sausage patty. I'd definitely go here again!

The papers tell the history and the creeds of this place and they aren't lying. Says they value piling the food high and that's just what they did. Absolutely worth the money!

I've been to a couple of the Black Bear Restaurants and I can confidently say that this is one of the best I've ever been to. Not only the place was decorated with Christmas lights, but the waitress were also dressed up which made a rather long day for me feel more cheerful. My server Donna, was one of the kindest people I've ever spoken to in this sort of industry. She checked in on me constantly, helped me choose an item that was better than what I usually get and made me feel very welcome. She was one of the best waitresses I've ever had, and I hope that she gets the praise she deserves. Overall, great food (I got the Waffle with chicken with a side of fries and the seasonal coconut mocha), amazing service, and most of all friendly atmosphere all around. I've found my new go to for food.

I believe this is the second time I’ve dined at this location; for dinner with my little boys - this time. Really love this location’s sleepy and quiet charm [for lack of a better way to describe it], and it may well be my best Black Bear Diner location in and around the Springs. Far above that, Megan [who I later learned is also an Assistant Manager towards the end of our visit] is worth a ton of recognition and appreciation. Not only was her patience, joy, ease, and great ability to help and manage a situation involving me and my little boys’ truly phenomenal, .. it was so evident that she cares about her customers and truly loves people without a doubt. She went above and beyond to brighten up our evening in the most heartwarming way, after our got accidentally cleared without my consent, .. and despite my constant reassurance didn’t stop apologizing and checking on us even as we left. Megan is without a doubt a gem and pillar at the Fountain location. A sweet and true servant leader loved by her coworkers and all her regular customers. Hope Black Bear also goes the extra mile to take great care of her and the rest of the wonderful staff at Fountain 🙏🏽 Oh 🤦🏽‍♂️ .. by the way .. hahaha, how could I forget the food, the Main Event??!! 😅 The portions were humongous for our hungry trio, and the presentation, taste and flavor, freshness and all, … it was definitely made with love as the main ingredient holding everything together. ☝🏽👍🏽 Thank you so much for the recommendations and amazing care Megan!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’ll certainly stop by at this location again and again with my little boys’ in the future 🫡 Blessings y’all!

I'm so jelly jelly... The breakfast Chris ordered smells amazing... All I can have is clear liquids this morning but I insisted he eat before we get to the hospital. I'm going to be starving once I'm out of surgery. We did get the perk of being seated next to the fireplace.
