Surprised and happy that we were seated before expected. The staff was jovial and insures that you are comfortable and have anything you need. The diner has a very extensive menu filled with classics along local specialties. The three meals we ordered were perfect; generous portions, eggs cooked to perfection, meats properly cooked and veggies that were crisp. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice as well as coffee and soft drinks. A wonderful experience and restaurant perfect after communing with the gods at the mountains.

My wife and I ate here this evening. Nice atmosphere and great decor. Good service. We got the chicken pot pie and pot roast which were both yummy! Only thing we both got that we didn't like was the carrots. They were sliced extremely thick and so hard (no cooked) that we couldn't eat them. Unfortunately forgot to take a picture. Overall a good visit.

So much good food for your money. Great service and a cool mountain ski lodge vibe in this restaurant. Great coffee and personal coconut cream pies in your own bowl.

We arrived late in the evening (about an hour before close) and everyone was still warm, friendly, and inviting. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend this diner to anyone looking for a fun, family friendly dining experience.

Pretty nice place that serves breakfast and lunch all day long, it's really nice inside and our waitress was really nice and explained how everything works since it was our first time. The prices are average but on the high side, the food was good but nothing special. They claim to serve big portions but it really depends what you get. My portion was normal, while my husband's was bigger. The ham was really fatty, everything else was good. The french toast was good, better than a lot of places, but still nothing special. The pancakes were huge but very cakey and dry, even with the syrup they were really difficult to eat..but the taste was really good. We will go back, but it's not our favorite place to have breakfast.

This was our first visit to the Black Bear Diner. We came at brunch on Sunday with another couple. I ordered the cobb salad with grilled chicken, which was huge! There are lots of nice chunks of blue cheese which I love! Lots of bacon! It was very delicious. My husband had a huge juicy burger, and it was only a single Patty. I can't imagine how they make a burger with three patties, but they do! My friend had the stuffed French toast that came with a side of fruit. Our waiter was super attentive and very helpful, and we highly recommend Ryan! It was a great experience and a great place to take a large group. It is pretty loud, but we were still able to hear each other. Though very busy, we didn't have to wait too long to get a table. We heard that you can check in online. They also sell stuffed black bears that are so adorable!

Great restaurant chain that started in Northern California. I enjoy the atmosphere and it fits nicely with Colorado Springs. The server was friendly and efficient. The food came out hot and fresh. I had eggs Benedict with grits and my wife had 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes. The pancakes were large and they use a sweet cream in the batter. We would return again.

We always enjoy coming to the Black Bear Diner. We were greeted with a smile and sat immediately. Our waitress, Savannah was awesome. Even though they were 86 on some of the items she did whatever she could do to make our dinner enjoyable. Got to love those muffins totally awesome.

Blown away by their breakfast. My whole family got the pancakes and they were literally the best I’ve ever had. Next year when we come back we will be stopping back by for them! And the waiter was super nice and helpful also. Super pleased with our experience!

Our server Michael was very inviting and friendly. The hot Italian sausage breakfast with a side of country gravy we shared was delicious and cooked to order. The coffee is Nicaraguan and served hot & fresh with a variety of creamer options. Excellent and flavorful breakfast at 3pm in the afternoon - exactly what we wanted!!

After a long journey you get hungry; this was an excellent stop to refill! The portion size was generous and the staff very friendly and helpful. The sandwiches were good and the pie for desert was an extra treat! The bonus of anything on the menu at anytime makes every bodies choices easier.

Be prepared for a TON of food! We got the “little less” option, and as you can see it was not!🤣 great atmosphere and amazing customer service. The biscuits are INSANE! Food was amazing. The vanilla iced coffee was soooo good. Better than Starbucks!!!! This is a must if you visit Colorado Springs!

We had the holiday turkey meal. The turkey was plentiful and it came with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. A side of cranberry sauce and your choice of soup of the day or salad. A very tasty cornbread muffin and a slice of pumpkin pie were included. I would say that it’s an excellent value for the money. The waiter was nice but just seemed way too distracted. It was Christmas but it wasn’t packed.

We have a classic and excellent lunch at the Black Bear Diner. Pot roast and a salad were the fare of the day. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable and the services was impeccable. Our server Bryan went out of his way to help us out and accommodate our gluten intolerance. Thanks Bryan for a surprise awesome lunch! You are amazing! If you are looking for a wide selection, good food, and great service hit the Black Bear. You won't be disappointed.

The food at Black Bear Diner is always great when you’re in the mood for some filling breakfast meals! The waiters and waitresses are very kind. We also got their orange juice which was about $5.90 and it’s very fresh! Only thing about it is that it was warm so we added a bit of ice in it to cool it down a bit because warm orange juice was rather strange! But great breakfast food! Haven’t gone for lunch or their dinner menu yet so can’t say much about that!

Hands down best place ever! Their meals were super good and plentiful! Worth the money! Atmosphere was great and staff did good attending us! Only thing which is minor is that i could of used a tad bit more gray on my biscuits which i'm sure they would have complied if i had asked! Besides that recomend give it a try!

Excellent breakfast! I had a vegetarian omelette and biscuits and gravy and both were delicious. I won't shame another restaurant chain, but the biscuits and gravy were miles ahead of the other place I hoped had good biscuits and gravy. The available hot sauces for my omelette were nice too.

We found this cool place with a big statue of a bear out front. We decided we had to try it. It had good reviews. We ate breakfast there and ended up going back the next day. The staff is so nice. Very friendly atmosphere. They are not stingy with the food. You get a very good portion for your money compared to the other places we have eaten at. Trust me we have been eating a lot since we just moved here from NY. The potatoes are delicious with diced onions and peppers. Everything tasted very fresh. The coffee was good. Their menu was like a newspaper with many interesting facts and I learned that they have about 60 -100 restaurants around the country. (I didn't count all the locations) I'm glad to know that we will have this great diner to eat near us. I wasn't too fond of their pancakes; I think its because they use cream to make their batter. BUT I loved the everything else. I highly recommend this place. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE HUNGRY. 5 stars all around!!

What can I say- the food was great. Comparing it to Long Island’s diners, this place wins! My wife and I really enjoyed our Sunday night dinner here. My California burger was very good all the way till the last bite. My wife’s fried chicken was tasty and the serving was huge: leftovers here we come
