Doris Ranch is an awesome place to go with enormous amounts of walking possible. You can take your bicycles and obviously definitely your dogs. There's so much land and it's so pretty there. Just make sure you take water for you and the dogs because there's none available on the trails. There is bathrooms they are very clean and family size. Have fun enjoy you might want to take bug spray with you too and sunscreen. Just saying..

Mysterious place, feels like another world with all the hazelnut trees all in one place and barely anybody else in there with you. When I went it was soggy and the trails were muddy. You will see many different plants along the path, as well as shelf fungi everywhere.

Great fun unique place! This is a lot like an Old Homestead and walking through all the Orchards during different times of the year makes this place feel new and different every time. There are roads that can be walked on through the orchards. And there are paths that can be walked on through the old growth woods. On the upper parking lot of Doris Ranch, there is a paved path that goes all along the Southside of the river for roughly 8 miles.? My husband and I rode from the disc golf location all the way to Doris Ranch. It is fun to watch all the ground squirrels collecting hazelnuts. This Ranch is located in the same Valley that I-5 is going through so you can hear I-5 traffic throughout Doris ranch. It is quieter in the forest.

Another sunny beautiful day at Dorris Ranch! So lucky to have so many acres to explore. Nothing like the #PNW #onewheel #floatinthePNW

It seems like you are walking in the mountains when you are here. It is beautiful. I love walking and biking here. A good place to exercise. It is also a good place for picnics. You can bring your dogs with you. But please remember to keep a leash on them. You can take some beautiful pictures here. The park is well maintained. I never see trash on my walks here. Thank you for taking of this place!

On this day, I had experienced a spectacular area to explore near the Willamette River.

We absolutely love Dorris Ranch. There is so much to discover, great paths, some paved, some dirt and gravel. There are 2 different parking lots. An upper lot by some public bathrooms that is for an all paved path, then the lower that is near the barn and all mulch, dirt, and gravel path. The orchard is amazing and beautiful and the kids love seeing all the fun tractors and love being able to run free down the path. The springtime wild flowers are also stunning.

I visit this park all the time. There are so many options, each time is enjoyable and super fun. Even without a play structure my young son is always engaged.

Our family loves walking to the river and back. It is a great place for the little ones to stretch their legs and pick flowers. It's also fun to see random dressed up couples and groups around prom season :)

A beautiful park for walking, jogging, biking, events, or photography. Lots of painted rocks hidden here too! No playground, and bathrooms are closed more often than not. Pet friendly but leashes are required.

Great scenery but I was looking for a quiet place by the river to listen to an audio book. On the way in I passed a young gentleman and his dog coming out of the trail I had just found. I said hello and he just looked at me rudely. I found the spot I was looking for. Beautiful and on the south end of the ranch. I just got settled in for a read and I got that feeling of being watched so I stood up and when I turned around there he was. He threw something in the water for his dog. The dog fetched and came running out of the river splashing me, my Ebike and my backpack. After 3 times he left down the trail (the only trail)! I was maybe 15 seconds behind him riding my bike faster than most people can run. It's atleast 300 yards back to the main trail and I never seen him until I reached the main trail and he was still 50 yards away. He obviously ran as fast as he could to get out of there. I would suggest that if he was security to announce himself and not act so strange. If he wasn't security Dorris ranch has a creepy stalker about! I can take care of myself but a young lady, or anyone for that matter, experienced this it would be traumatic!

A working, hazelnut farm of great importance with a lot of local history. Lovely and peaceful. Connecting trails can take you along the river all the way to Clearwater Park.

Such a wonderful place to visit. Walking trails galore. Rustic barnery and public restrooms (huge plus). Picnic tables and places to bike, hike and explore for a few hours. Good to bring fur baby on a walk on a leash of course. The bad: Our most recent visit (kids included), we happened upon a terrifying sight. My 3 yr old had to use the potty, so we used the one up top by the parking lot. There was an empty beer bottle on the ground, a pair of black gloves left in the stall and wait for it... actual blood splatter on the ceiling. I sincerely hope that isn't still there. Submitted a call to let park maintenance know about it. Not gonna lie.. it was splattered like what you would see in a slasher film. Very scary. Other than that, it was a wonderful day. Love to frequent this place on a weather permitting day. Lots of rich history and pretty sights as well. Best part .. it's free. Didn't have to pay for parking even with out of state plates. Only tip is to maybe call ahead and check if their open as they do sometimes get booked out.

It's so beautiful here. Many paths, walking, biking, close to the river, a historical site, a hazelnut orchard. It's incredible! Highly recommend this place for a peaceful outdoor adventure!

Absolutely love this place. Only complaint are off leash dogs with little to no recall. They used to have signs everywhere telling people to keep dogs on lead (not that they listened). Trail also heads over to middle fork path which is paved and runs along the river for some good views!

Always a good place to walk your dog or just take walks, Looks like its great place to go for bike rides as well. On Hot Days make sure you bring water for the dog and and your self there are no water features (there used to be)

I want to love Dorris Ranch, but this place more than any other is lousy with bad dog owners. About 80% of the time when I come here, someone has decided to let their dog off leash, and the dog charges at me barking. There are signs posted at every entrance that you need to keep dogs on a leash, but I don't think the owners of the ranch are doing enough to change the culture here.

Legendary place wonderful colorful trails great for biking running or even just a couples walk. Absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend many to take on the trails and enjoy nature. Plenty of birds and plenty of trails. Just watch out for big ole grizzly bears..... no.... not at all lol. Have fun

Beautiful place that was easy to find with a variety of trails, but it was WAY overly crowded, took a long time to find parking and when we got home there were ticks all over our dogs.

Doris Ranch is a beautiful place to walk among the hazelnut groves. A bit further in, you can walk or bike the McKenzie river trail and access the river.

Dorris Ranch park is one of my other favorite areas to walk & explore. It has historic buildings, wood village, barn where classes for children are held. There's a paved trail for walkers & bicyclists which goes to Clearwater Park about 4 miles away. Also there are dirt trails, past the buildings & filbert (hazlenuts) orchards which wind along Willamette River, eventually meeting up with the paved trail. The paved trail parking lot is left just past the gate with bathrooms. Or you can park in the lot just beyond the gate. Pros: paved & dirt trails, multi-use, bathrooms, historic buildings & classes. Cons: paved trail is slightly uphill for few minutes if approaching from Clearwater side.
