visited 29/08/2021 - sat nav takes you almost to the car park location, just a bit further up the road and then small sign to the car park with room for small amount of vehicles. If taking young kids then pram/buggy is out and you need a baby carrier or keep younger children supervised. The waterfall itself is a great sight and can understand why so many people visit. In the car park the graffitied sign does suggest other places to visit around Larne, which will be worth planning for on another visit. Once done at the site not much else to do. Still recommend a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Off the beaten track this is another hidden gem. Beautiful waterfall in a little green ravine. More akin to something you would find in New Zealand than in Ireland. Paths, stairs and foot brodges all beautifully build sympathetically with the surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you are in our around the area

I’m part of a fb motorcycle group called Biking Adventures and routes Northern Ireland and we live getting to see stunning places like this. A real gem that does not have far to walk especially with all your gear on but what’s just round the corner is wonderful to see. Pack your gear away and take a short walk along the Forrest trail and sample the old village or may take a dip in the shallow pool at the bottom of the waterfall, I bet it’s nice. Lots of nice places for pictures and dog friendly just remember to clean up after them.

This is a beautiful waterfall, a lovely place to come for a paddle in the summertime. However, there was an extortionate amount of litter around the place, and the bin at the car park was overflowing. There are steps and a handrail to reach the higher parts of the waterfall, which are stable, so hiking boots aren't necessary. There is also a tire swing higher up the waterfall in the deeper water, which seems secure. There's also a lot of benches along the path. It was a shame about the litter, but other than that, this area is very nice. I highly recommend a visit!

This is a beautiful place and not too far to walk to from the carpark. Due to the terrain unfortunately it is not wheel chair accessible as there are steep stairways to descend and climb.

The waterfall is beautiful, I would suggest going on a warm day as the water is shallow so you could get in. It’s a short walk from the car park. Keep your eyes open as you will miss the entrance if you’re not paying attention. The whole experience is quick as there’s not much else to see. The stairs to the top of the waterfall are steep and can be slippery. I would also suggest taking a walk around the village as well.

Beautiful wee walk to see such a beautiful waterfall. With only less than 5 minutes from the car park you’re there. Definitely recommend. Can also have a wee swim in its natural pool. No parking or entrance fees.

Have visited this waterfall a few times. It is in a beautiful setting and peaceful, if you go at a less busy time. Wooden path around the top of the waterfall allows you to view it from different angles. Not a big area so if there are a lot of other visitors it can get crowded. Good place to take a dip in the pool of water at the base of the waterfall or just paddle your feet in the river.

Great wee place for chilling out and being meditative with the sound of the waterfall tumbling and churning. Trees, river, walkway and of course the roaring waterfall make it magical. Can be muddy so wear sensible footwear. There's a wooden walkway that leads you to the top of the waterfall and the roar of the water churning sounds amazing. Nice spot and not far from a bistro ( think it's called the Dairy) which is a food outlet for a local farm.

Very pretty & peaceful. Got a good leg workout up all the steps with the dogs plus a nice dander through the village back to the car park.

Lovely place. We have been with our 2 years old, was difficult to go downstairs with a pram. But we did it.

Magnificent Waterfall. Well maintained pathways. Care needed in places for small children and those not steady on their feet. Climb the steps to view the pool and top of the waterfall. Nice location for those brave people who enjoy a cold water swim. Car park available, tight turn on entering, be considerate of oncoming traffic.

Short walk from the car park to the waterfall. Cool views. Wanted to go round the walking trail but couldn't find trail markings, just a bunch of stairs leading to dead ends. Worth seeing if you have time to kill but wouldn't make it a priority.

Good water fall, although will revisit when higher rainfall, be good to see it in full flow, small carpark but as a small place quick turnover

It's a lovely hidden gem the water coming down pouring and the steps and the trees covering them make it look like magic Am glad i took a detour and visited it

Great for a swim. There's a trail on one side that takes you to the top but we just stayed at the pool and went for a dip. Very refreshing and cold! Great because it's 2 min walk from the car. Bring flip flops, unless you like muddy feet!

A lovely surprise. This waterfall is easy to get to and has well maintained steps down to it. Water was clear and we even had a swim. Worth the visit.
