Beautiful place. Better to visit during/after monsoons otherwise everything is "red". ( oh , and beware the monkeys. They are adorable but playful and may want your purse/bag or sunglasses)

Do not miss this falls, The jeep ride is adventure. Book the ticket online, it will show a slot in online ticket, doesn't matter its a kind of confirmation. You can get ticket earlier. Go as early as possible to the ticket counter, The queues are big on season time. Took around 2hrs for us to get ticket from counter. Carry cash and water. No shop near falls. Keep the life jacket safe. It is required to get into falls.

It's a beautiful place. People have done well to preserve this place within nature. You need to reach the office from where you take tickets and taxi. The taxi will take you through off road to the point from where you need to trek about 400 m till the waterfall. Life jackets are provided for a fee which was great safety measure.

We traveled here in weekend. You need to buy tickets at base location to travel in the local transportation (Jeep) as its total off-roading, no personal vehicles are allowed. The ticket price was around 550 + 40 for life jacket which is compulsory. Make sure to have a group of 7 members or make arrangements with other Small group. As jeep they only carry 7 people not more or less. The jeep ride in the forest is awesome and you will enjoy the ride. The ride is around 12KM may be not sure, it takes around 45 mins to reach the destination. Once reached you will have 1.5 hours to spend time over their and be back to you vehicle or you will be charged extra for being late. The falls has a majestic view, if lucky you can see train passing on the bridge and itโ€™s a breath taking. Last but not the least please donโ€™t throw plastic bottles around and other things. Please carry back and put it in dustbins.

Wonderful experience...The Jeep safari amidst sensed forest, walking through the jungle, a dip into the chilled fall water,,,,and so on was a great fun with family and friends. The monkey's there will snatch your bag if you happen to carry some food item's. The konkan railway run's halfway above the fall, so if you happen to see one passing train, it will give an additional experience.

Haven on the earth, amazing natural beauty, you should never miss a chance to visit this place. I assure you will be filled with joy and adventure after reaching this place. The safari ride will thrill you by it's adventure. Good job the forest team to maintain the place clean and respectful. Please don't remove your life jacket if you're entering in to falls as I could be dangerous because of its depth.

The best water fall. The best plan to visit is here. Don't believe in tour package for private. They are very costly and looted. 1.A day ago rent a car for self driving from Goa. (Rs.800 to 1200) 2.Get up earlier and start journey at 6 am. 3. Try to reach at 7:45. If u reach late than u have to stand in queue for many hours) 4.Stand in a queue for tickets.(500/person for driver. 40 for must have life guard ). 5.Travel for around 45 minutes in rough road with jumping jeep.!! 5.Walk for 10 to 15 minutes from where jeep drop you. ( The way is full of big and small slippery stones so stay safe.). All the best.

Itโ€™s a journey to get here and you should count at least 4 hours for this trip (excluding the journey from the hotel to the park entrance which in our case took 2 hours in each direction from our hotel in north Goa) Overall we left the hotel at 7am and returned at 4pm Getting the mandatory Jeep to go in the track to reach the waterfall is a very disorganized process (it takes roughly 30 minutes and cost 700rs + 40rs for life jacket) / we heard that you can skip this part by booking online. Once in the Jeep, count 30-45 minutes to get through the checkpoint (100rs for government) and reach the Jeep parking. Then around 10 minutes walk (difficult for kids and old people) to cross very natural places before reaching the waterfalls. You can swim in the waterfalls, itโ€™s clean and safe. Not recommended for solo women travelers.

An extraordinary experience like never before, a visit that gave a sense of fulfillment and immense satisfaction. Doodhsagar, at 310m is one of the highest waterfalls in the country. Reaching the base of the waterfalls is a challenging task - a 14km trek covering rail, mud roads, streams including some with heavy currents and thick vegetation. We visited in July, hence other alternatives like jeep ride were not available. It is mandatory to hire a local guide before starting the trek. It is advised to carry raincoat, water and eatables in a waterproof bag. Also carry an extra pair of footwear. The trek took close to 3 hours one direction, hence its always wise to start in the morning to return before dusk.

The experience was one of its kind..! Keep safari, Forest trekking and the waterfall at end.. the combination is perfect if you are adventurous in nature..! The area is safeguarded by army people and all the measure to keep the area clean is taken care.. You should reach in the morning at earliest because they take limited number of trips in a day..! Also going into deep falls was very interesting.. Your life jacket is your only safety mantra.. have faith in it.!.

Dudhsagar waterfalls had always been in my bucket list. I visited the falls in Feb and the flow of water was not as we see in the pictures posted online. According to the locals, the best time to visit the falls is during the Monsoon season when the density of the flowing water is more. Once you reach Dudhsagar, you will have to book a wildlife Safari as it comes under wildlife department. They also provide you the life saver jackets. The road is beautiful and it's a great experience. It takes about 45 mins to reach the start point of the trek and the trek takes about 15 to 20 mins to complete. There are proper changing rooms available to change your swim wear. FYI - there are a lot of monkeys so we need to be careful of our belongings. The falls are mesmerizing and one can swim through the falls. Note: Careful while swimming as the water is deeper than it looks Overall it was a Great experience!!!

Beautiful place for a nature lover. There are safaris going to the fall, get the ticket and they take you for ~3hours. The way is a bumpy ride but all worth it. Jungle has big trees and the water is so pure and cold. Taking the ticket might take longer due to rush. They provide life jackets so anyone can jump into the pond, even the non-swimmers. But it's always good to take precautions. The food is only available at the base. Have light snacks. Worth the experience.

Gifted place. You cannot ride to the falls, stop the car at the jeep taxi stand and book the jeep online. Link will be provided at the place. Rs. 25 per person for registration, kids above age 5 to be considered as adults. This registration copy to be shown at the counter to get a jeep driver. One jeep will carry only 7 passengers. You need to pay 500 per head for jeep safari, additional 300 including the life jacket (mandatory) and forest entrance fees. Ride to the falls is awesome. You will get almost an hour time at the falls. Have to be careful while walking over the slippery rocks ๐Ÿชจ. Mobiles must kept inside a plastic cover or carry it very carefully. Wear the life jacket and you can swim in the water. Water will be very cold and itโ€™s an awesome experience there. Carry swim suits or spare dress to enjoy the bath.

When we went here few years, we had only option to get the train, if we miss then need to walk to main station to catch the trains. Lot had improved now after many visitors are reaching here. We can bath at downside of the fall with trekking. No shops where there before but now we have it. Lot improved now. Great experience.

Since it was off season you can see only slim waterfalls. The wait for and in jeep is much longer than the driving time. Book jeep tickets in advance else you have to wait till afternoon and go at much higher rates. During season time you cannot go at all if jeep booking is not done in advance.

Very hyped falls, with less stream and water. Approaching road inside forest is bumpy, not a tar road takes around 45 minutes to reach followed by 10 to 15 min walk. 640 per head- 500 ticket, 100 to forest entry, 40 life jacket or 3500 for a vehicle. Railway track is there. Water is deep and cold. Overall ok.

Dudhsagar waterfalls ๐Ÿซง is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa. Itโ€™s the same you must have seen in the movie Chennai express ๐Ÿšž It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgaviโ€“Vasco Da Gama rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgavi. ๐Ÿฅน Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป The pictures speaks for themselves itโ€™s a beautiful combination of natural biodiversity walk along with a destined waterfall at the end Also they hand over these live jackets to everyone to keep them safe.๐Ÿฆบ No swimming costumes required. The falls is a punctuation mark in the journey of the Mandovi River from the Western Ghats to Panjim where it meets the Arabian sea. The area is surrounded by deciduous forests with rich biodiversity. This waterfall is also known as Tambdi Surla to some of the local people. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season, however, the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water. First with an hour of drive then walk for around 40-50 min and here comes the view. The best time to visit the fall is between October to May as the access to the fall is open for the Jeep. This jeep can be hired from the local Dudhsagar Jeep Association counter at Collem. You have to pay as much as Rs. 500 per person for a jeep ride and maximum of seven people in one jeep. This jeep will take you to the base of the fall. You will have to pay Entry fees to the department of Forest to enter their area as this Falls comes under their jurisdiction. You get maximum of one & half hours to spend at the fall before you return back to the jeep you came by. The same jeep will then drop you back to Collem for your onward Journey. The Jeep safari is extremely fun and adventurous as there are chances of you seeing Wild life on the way. Thanks for reading. Let me know if the review could guide you the best way. ๐Ÿ˜Š #explore #dudhsagar #waterfalls #goa #love #guide #googlemaps #india ๐Ÿ“Dudhsagar waterfall, Goa

Registering/Buying tickets online is recommended. Falls is inside the forest area which you can't travel on your own but only with the forest vehicle from a certain limit. Then 15 minutes of trekking is needed to reach the falls. Swimming life jackets will be provided in compulsory by the forest department since the pools might be deeper and to ensure safety of the tourists. So even those who don't know swimming can enjoy the pool and those who know swimming (swimming is recommended to reach near the water falling area since you need to move forward again the pushing force of water falling) can reach till the falls.

One must visit this waterfall if you are visiting Goa. The milky white water flows with gush which is a treat to eyes. it is wise to visit this waterfall in Goa, after the monsoon, between October to February. If you want to swim in the Dudhsagar River at the base of the falls, do it only with a life jacket. Bathing in the monsoon is not recommended when the water flows with great force. There are no cloakrooms / lockers to store luggage near the falls. Note: Be aware of monkeys and dont feed them.

A wonderful natural beauty. This is a very unique scenario where you can see waterfalls, hilly rivers, deep forest and railway tracks in between deep forest. You can take a Jeep ride from Kulem to visit this waterfall. The water is very clear and the atmosphere is very peaceful and pleasant in nature. You can take a deep breath and chill in here. Fresh air and fresh water. You can visit from November to February for the best experience. Water is around 20 meters deep at the falling point. A life jacket is must to visit this waterfall.

Stunning view!! One of the best places to visit in South Goa. We came here in the off season. Had a small hike to make it to here. But it was all worth it. The waterfall is is a huge one and shipped like heart. You can also see it from the train but we decided to get down in Kulem station to do a small hike. The hike it self was amazing.

Private jeeps are the only way to go up. They are always on tight schedule and will give you only 90 min of time at water fall after reaching at parking place. 90 min is sufficient if you want to do some photography. But if you are a swimmer then negotiate the extra time charge in advance.

One of the India's tallest majestic waterfalls located inside the mollem national park among the western ghats. "Sea of milk" this waterfall is a treat to the eyes. Most adventurous trek during monsoon is a great experience of the wildlife and beautiful and awesome waterfall sightings. Many swimming pools formed by the waterfall is awesome for swimming and a nice ayurvedic bath in the pool surrounded by forest and biodiversity. Must try - Trek during monsoon , Dudhsagar falls exploration.

I have been here for more than 5 times. And everytime experienced an unique beauty of this waterfall. I prefer October is the best time to visit this place. There are many ways you can reach here. I will explain few ways how you can plan your trek to dudhsagar waterfall. 1. From kulem railway station : Those who are in goa already, can drive till kulem. Park your vehicle here and near the station road, you will find many local guides. ( Remember, it's compulsory to take a guide with you to enter the forest area) they will charge you around 500-600 per person depending upon number of people. From here you need to do a trek of 13-14km one way to reach the base of waterfall. You will see many water streams, lots of butterflies and cargo trains en route. These guides can arrange breakfast in the middle of the jungle for you. Total time required for this trek is around 7-8 hrs ( up and down). Try to visit as early morning as possible. 2. From Sonalim railway station : Those who are travelling here from other states like MH, Karnataka, can take any train going to Madgaon. There is one station called Sonalim near the Dudhsagar waterfall. There is no official stopping here but train stops here usually for crossing. After alighting here, just move inside the jungle towards right side, you will find a temple and few huts around. From here you can start your trek. Waterfall is around 1 hrs walking distance from here. It's better if you contact a local guide one day before so that he can arrange everything from Sonalim station. Recently Railway police are charging heavy fines to those who are alighting at Sonalim station. Usually on weekends. On weekdays, there are no issues. 3. From Dudhsagar pumping station : This station is just before Sonalim station and there is no official stop here. Again alighting here is risky ( as railway police can catch you) . From here within 10-15 mins you will reach to the main bridge location ( upper view point). 4. From Castle Rock station : From here one way trek is around 14-15km. And this route is a bit new and less crowded. Not preferred by many tourists as it requires a long walk. But I would say, this is also one of the best routes for trekking. On the way you can find many spots for camping. So all and all, This is a great trek in the jungle and on railway track.. not much difficult but need a good endurance.. In winter, you can hire a Jeep from kulem and reach the eantry point of the waterfall, from there it's just a 30-35 mins hike to reach the waterfall.. Tip : make sure you are listening to the railway horns.. lot of cargo trains pass from this railway track route.. Also there are lots of leeches in the jungle.. so be safe.. take a local guide with you.. and wear a lifejacket while trekking or enjoying the views of the waterfall..! Happy travelling ! *PLEASE AVOID THROWING PLASTIC WASTE, IT IS ALREADY FULL OF PLASTIC*

Had an amazing experience and trip to the waterfalls. If you are traveling from north Goa then there are multiple agencies organizing tours to the place. From south Goa you can probably book a train or taxi till Kulem. From Kulem you compulsorily have to board government run jeeps. This is an offroad 45 minutes experience. The roads aren't horrible but aren't like the tarred ones. Post reaching the waterfall parking area you have to further trek for 10-15 minutes to reach the actual waterfalls. Beware of monkeys and keep your valuables safe as there is no locker facility available near the falls. You can get beautiful view of the falls from bottom. There are trains running every now and then on the bridge which adds cherry to the cake. Water was icy cold despite being sunny. Don't go deep if you can't swim. Enjoy ๐Ÿ‘

Breath taking view when you arrive there. I would absolutely recommend a visit if you are in India and Goa. Make sure you arrive early as there is a limit to how many Jeeps can go there in a day. Swimming in the water is a must after a hot trek but get ready for crowded and quite tight rocky shore. Water is deep. Also be careful with any food as monkey are there to steal it then they litter around with food wrappings juice boxes etc. They can get quite aggressive.

It was an unforgettable experience and that too after your trip to Goa beaches. It was very soothing when we just entered waterfall. Though we were afraid but we have just entered into water and the feeling was amazing. But one disadvantage was you won't get anything at that place, you have to go to next railway station.

Dudhsagar Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that left me in awe during my recent visit. The sheer size and power of the waterfall are simply mesmerizing. The cascading water looks like a frothy river of milk, hence the name "Dudhsagar," which means "Sea of Milk" in Hindi. The lush green surroundings and the dense forest add to the charm of this place, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The journey to reach the waterfall, whether by train or trekking, is an adventure in itself, with stunning views of the Goan countryside. The only downside to this popular tourist destination is the crowd. It can get quite crowded, especially during the peak season, which takes away from the tranquility of the place. However, if you can time your visit during the off-peak hours, you'll have a more peaceful experience. Overall, Dudhsagar Waterfall is a must-visit for anyone exploring the natural beauty of Goa. It's a sight to behold and a great escape from the bustling beaches and nightlife of the region.

Very nice hike in the nature. There are bathrooms at the entrance of the park. Nice outdoor nature classroom. There are only 3 changing rooms in the park, needless to say, there are long lines. So change before you come to the park. You have to go to the falls in a government jeep. Charge is 500rs per person, the jeep will wait for you for only 1.5 hours. After that, they charge extra waiting fee. After the jeep, you have to hike to the falls. Itโ€™s not a long hike, maybe 2km. But, itโ€™s a grueling hike. There is virtually no flat ground to step on. Itโ€™s all boulders and rocks. One wrong move, and you can easily fracture an ankle or dislocate a bone. Definitely not for old people. Otherwise, itโ€™s a beautiful falls with a place to bathe.

A beautiful ride if you are adventure lover โค and here are forest roads so do not expect to be normal a road line because on way to the falls there will be in-between water flowing ๐Ÿ˜€ on the paths. Saftey here is good as the forest dep will provide life jackets and do not expect there will be a change room for ladies after dipping in water. Even there are no washrooms which is a minus point rather than that it is a good ride with family & friends.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Last suggestion is if you want to visit book from/through packages which we did because instead of waiting for life jackets plus jeep booking it will take 3-4 hours waiting in line and they'll send u back if bookings are full b4 12pm.

Make sure to visit this place in the early morning . Morning is the best time to reach there with view as well as to avoid long queues, otherwise you will end up waiting in queue while sitting in your vehicle. Don't carry any food inside the waterfall otherwise you'll have to share it with monkeys. In Jeep Safari I had an experience where a monkey suddenly came up for food and was sitting with me inside the Jeep. For a ticket you need to do an online booking and then to book for Jeep from there with life jacket charge. There is also a separate jungle entry fee, so it is better to keep your card handy for the payment.

Dudhasagar fall is worth visiting at least once. The jungle safari is very interesting that takes you to the base of the fall. One should carry his own eatable and drinking water there. Donโ€™t litter garbage here and there as you will be heavily fined for doing so. Waterfall is super amazing and good for swimming in fresh water of the waterfall. It was an unprecedented experience in itself. One must visit this place in Goa. Goa is a lot more than pristine beaches and beautiful churches.

It's one of the most beautiful waterfallsin India. In July & August the waterfall is in it's full glory. At the same time due to heavy downpour & storms in the area it becomes risky to visit. So in July August railway police force and forest department bans this trek. After October one can get local guide&jeep along with life jacket at Rs. 600-700 .

Must visit place. Visit this place after monsoon (Oct to Jan). For entering Forest you have to buy tickets from ticket counter (3500 for Jeep max 7 person, 100/person forest fee, 40/person life jacket fees). Carry water along with you and do not throw empty plastic bottles. Enjoy in the waterfall...

Dudhsagar Falls in Goa is a breathtaking natural wonder that leaves visitors in awe. The majestic cascade of white water plunging down from a height creates a mesmerizing spectacle. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery, adding to the pristine beauty of the location. The sight and sound of the gushing water create a sense of tranquility and serenity. While the journey to Dudhsagar Falls can be adventurous, the destination is well worth it. Whether you choose to admire the falls from a distance or take a refreshing dip in its pools, Dudhsagar Falls offers a memorable and enchanting experience for nature lovers.

Disappointed little bit. Nov 2021 โ€ข Friends I hve een yearning to visit Dudhsagar for years now. This time finally I had baked it into my Goa plan and I was looking forward to this trip. I was planning to trek up to the waterfall (a 11km trek oneway). However was discouraged by one and all since I had a 10 year old. The main point which stuck was the humidity factor. Hence we finally decided to do the jeep Safari. As per the enquires we did, everyone mentioned that we should reach there before 8am and get a jeep ticket on the counter. We also checked for any online bookings but could not find any. Luckily, our driver showed us an SMS forward on online booking website (dudhsagarjeeps.com). Hence we registered paying Rs.10 per head for a 11am slot (earlier slots were fully booked). This website does not come up on the search engine(maybe because it is a new one). We reached the counter around 8 and we saw a sea of people jostling for jeep tickets. Forget social distancing (do we still fear Covid?) We were told to come back at 10.45am. Around 100-200 meters away from the maddening crowd, we found a Udipi pure veg hotel ( its more like a room in a house). It's a limited menu restaurant run by a couple. We were served fresh, hot and delicious Idlis. As we waited out there, we saw the idlis get over and the couple sweetly preparing upma and poha for the guests coming in. (Goes without saying that the guests would need to give them 10 mins to prepare the dish). We enquired about their lunch thali menu and gave them advance for lunch on our way back. And they did meet our expectation with the yummy thali. At 10ish, our driver called us asking us to get into the online que since there was chaos around. Finally at round 11.15am after all the effort on a humid day, we got a sharing jeep. (Every jeep is permitted to take 7 people. Kids beyond the age of 4 need a ticket). Life jackets are mandatory and arranged by the jeep drivers. Overall the trip takes around 3 hours (45 minutes up-down and 1.5 hours in the waterfall). However the jeep drivers oblige if you pay them Rs.300 for an extra hour. This happened in our case since 4/5 car wanted to extend and others did not have a choice.(we were told so by the majority group and the drivers as well) From the parking the waterfall is around 1-1.5 kms through a rocky way. You can also see the trains cross the waterfall. I realized it might have been an easier option to take a train between the two stations. In the waterfall are most people stay on the sidelines since the water pond is cold, deep, rocky and slippery. There are makeshift toilets and changing rooms. My two cents if you are want to go - Book your slot online on dudhsagarjeeps.com (I could not find it in the Google searches. Maybe it is a new process) Cost per person- Registration online -โ‚น10 Jeep cost -โ‚น500 Life jackets- โ‚น40 Forest entry - โ‚น100 Carry water bottles, snacks or food especially if you are traveling with kids. You don't get anything inside the jungle or near the waterfall. Some people do fill their water bottles and drink water in the waterfall. Though I understand it is flowing water hence naturallypurified. I still find it difficult to do it. There are makeshift toilets and changing rooms. Dont kknow how clean they are, but do carry a set oof clothes and towels. If you oare vegetarian/jain or like vegetarian food, do try the Udupi homely food. It is near a parking lot 100-150 meters away from the counter. This would take an entire day unless it gets more organized. Hence don't have anything else on the agenda for the day. We came across a lot of people turning back without visiting the falls because of lack of jeep tickets or other commitments (flights, had to reach another place etc) With the crowd and management by Goa tourism, would recommend giving it a miss.

One of the offbeat tourist attractions that Goa has other than Beaches. It's a half day affair and you can relax at a beach shack later in the evening. In less than 2 hours you reach the entry gate to Mahaveer National park. It is advisable to do advance online booking of Rs.10/- per person for Dudhsagar Falls to avoid disappointment. From the entry gate you have to change to Jeep Safari and they allow you 2 hours time including the time taken to travel to the falls. The road is dusty red other than monsoon but everything is forgotten once you reach the falls. It is really awesome and one should definitely keep a day aside for it if on a 3 days plus vacation. Please avoid being too adventurous on the rocks. I slipped and hurt myself though nothing serious.

Dudhsagar is best place to visit during mansoon. Do not pay for the guide but walk with railway track there is tracking path made by railway along track on right side of track, you will find that after tracking 1 km. I advise you to not leave railway track untill you reach that iconic bridge, from that bridge enjoy the view of waterfall for some time after that you can go downhill where you can enjoy waterfall. But if you go though the woods you will end to the downside of waterfall and it is difficult to go up from there due to steep climb hence you will not able to see the view from bridge.

Must visit water falls once in life time. Best experience for trekking through rivers during monsoon season. Beautiful place to swim and bath. If you are not interested in trekking for 11 kms you can travel to water falls by government jeeps only from kulem. You have to park your private vehicles in kulem and go through only government jeeps for โ‚น500 per person(maximum 7 members in a jeep). and they also charge extra โ‚น100 per person while starting your journey to falls. After reaching to dudhsagar water falls after 1hr journey in jeep. You have to walk 1-2 kms definitely. They way is full of rocks and boulders ,you have to walk very carefully and slowly. There is no flat land at all it is full of rocks, one step wrong you may affect with leg fracture or dislocation of bone orany other leg issues. After reaching to water you can swim upto 1hr because the jeeps only wait for 1hr30mins from dropping time after that they charge extra money. Change your dresses before reaching water falls because there is no proper dress changing rooms here only 2 or 3 available. And some restrooms. Best experience with friends here โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Dudhsagar Waterfalls, meaning "Sea of Milk," is a majestic four-tiered waterfall located in the Western Ghats of India. It is situated on the border of the Indian states of Goa and Karnataka. The falls are one of the tallest and most renowned waterfalls in India.Reaching Dudhsagar Waterfalls can be an adventure in itself. The falls are accessible by train or by trekking through the forest. The railway route passes right in front of the waterfall, providing a spectacular view. Many tourists opt to take a train ride on the scenic route, enjoying the breathtaking sight of the falls. If you plan to visit Dudhsagar Waterfalls, it is advisable to check the local regulations, weather conditions, and any necessary permits or permissions required for the visit. It's also recommended to visit during the monsoon season (June to September) when the falls are at their most magnificent.

Awesome waterfall I have ever seen. If you are going in monsoon season, local jeeps are not allowed so you need to walk around 10km one side and reach there. You need local guide along as it's dense forest area. Guide will charge around 500-700 per person depending on your group size. There are few people trying to loot with 1000 per person so beware of them. It is worth visiting. Keep in mind in monsoon 20 km walk and no swimming but between Oct to May you can go by jeep(charge 600 per persona) and have swimming with life jacket in water.

Beautiful waterfall. The train way is very beautiful. The train passes through the waterfall and it's very great to cherish the beautiful greenary and the waterfall. The water is very cool and refreshing giving the proper forest feel. Advisable to visit in morning times(8-10AM). Washrooms and changing rooms are available. Very well maintained by the forest department.

Wonderful falls. Must visit place. You can rent out life jackets and have fun inside the water as well. you need to hire a jeep to reach there, for which you have to stay in queue. They allocate jeeps in batches. I would recommend reaching there early so that you don't have to struggle for jeep. Also after 9-10 there will be a lot of rush on the waterfall. There is an option of reaching here by trekking as well. If possible take that. Because jeep driver will give you some limited time to stay at the fall, otherwise they will leave or charge you extra. But must visit place.

Once in a lifetime experience kind of thing.. view is breath taking.... 15 mins of wall from Jeep drop point to waterfalls for an average young person ... Total expenses to travel from start point will be 585 Jeep+ 40 for life Jacket+ 100 for check post per head... 6 people are mandatory in a jeep... We can also pay for 6 and go even of there are only 4 people... Our choice.. charges are around 3.6k... Jeep has time limit of 3hrs in total... 1.5 hrs for to and fro travel, 1.5 hours will be time given for us to enjoy waterfalls and all .. There is also trekking with a local guide which has no time limit... Charges are almost same...

My friend and I visited the falls Saturday Jan 27th. We took a taxi from Airbnb in Dabolim and reached the check in area around 10am or so. This was mistake number one. We should have arrived here far earlier like 8am. The queue was already super long with the hot Sun beating down on our heads . The ticketing process is absolutely chaotic with no rhyme or reason. One needs to make three separate payments at 3 different counters to be able to move onto the next phase which is waiting for the shared SUV with no AC. The wait for the SUV can be long because only 40 SUVs have space to park in the jungle . So one SUV returns to base camp and then the next one heads for the jungle. The shared SUV is quite a torture for about an hour through the bouncy rugged rocky dirt road to the final stop for the falls. If you are lucky enough, no one in your shared ride will have motion sickness and throw up. We did hear some horror stories from unlucky ones. Once you reach the end of the ride , you again have to use a debit card to make one more payment. No other forms of payment is accepted. Next, there is 30 minute trek to finally reach the falls. This time of the year the water flow is not impressive, especially since I have previously visited jog falls in the rains. You are allowed 90 minutes to hangout at the falls where you can enjoy a dip in the cold water at the base of the falls with your previously provided life jacket. After spending some time by the water we headed back to find our SUV for ride back to base camp. The two ride will you likely leave many older people in need for a chiropractic appointment. Overall it was an average experience and I am still debating whether it was truly worth the hassle โ€ฆ I am leaning towards a NO for now. Cheers !!

Have spent an hour in the queue to get the permit. There are hundreds of people trying to get the access and only one lady at the counter to provide information and check ID and give access. Then had to wait another 30mins to collect the life jackets which we didnโ€™t even have to use as we didnโ€™t go into the water at the falls. They allow only 40 vehicles into the forest, so we had to wait some cars returned. I hope they fix this whole process and make it easy for tourists otherwise people will lose interest in visiting the place. The road was very bumpy and wasnโ€™t too easy to access, had to cross few streams. I hope they lay decent roads so more itโ€™ll make it easily accessible. Once we reached the falls it was amazing, all worth the visit. Waterfalls and the path leading to the waterfalls is amazing. You need 3-5 hours to do this trip.

It is a four level waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the state of Goa, India. It is about 60 km by road from Panaji and is 46 km east of Madgaon on the Belgaum - Vasco da Gama rail line and 80 km from Belgaum. Dudhsagar Falls is 310 m (1017 ft) high and average 30 m (100 ft) wide, making it one of the tallest waterfalls in India. This waterfall is in the Western Ghats of the Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary and the Kulem National Park. The waterfall is located in the state of Goa. This waterfall is a stopover on the journey of the Mandovi River from the Western Ghats to Panjim, where it meets the Arabian Sea. The region is rich in biodiversity with deciduous forests. Waterfalls are not particularly spectacular in the summer but during the rainy season, the waterfall is full of rain and forms a great force of water. #How to go ??? From Kulem, you have to walk about 14-15 km along the railway tracks and reach Dudhsagar station. (Stations: Kulem-Sonalium-Dudhsagar) or board a train from Kulem to Londa and board the Dudasagar Station. Most passenger trains stop at Dudhsagar. #Important Information: -------> #There is no admission fee of any kind. # Goa forest cops take bribes (200-500) from you. # There is no rule that walking in the forest requires any kind of permission. # Please don't pay for any reason.

Nice falls, The milky white water flows with gush which is a treat to eyes. it is wise to visit this waterfall in Goa, after the monsoon, between October to February. If you want to swim in the Dudhsagar River at the base of the falls, do it only with a life jacket.ย Bathing in the monsoon is not recommended when the water flows with great force. There are no cloakrooms / lockers to store luggage near the falls. Very nice falls white water flows very forsly.

It is one of beautiful places I visited recently.... We started trekking from kulem in the early morning and reached to the falls by 8 or 9 because we had to stop in the middle. From kulem to falls it may be around 10 km trekking and it is not easy but the pain is worth it. It is well maintained and there are many monkeys u should be careful about ur belonging.

Waterfalls provide soothing sights and sounds that help you relax and de-stress in today's busy world. Lower your blood pressure and improve your physical and mental health as you prop your feet up and enjoy the therapeutic effects of Mother Nature . The smell of a waterfall is so fresh and alluring. The water is clean, and the way it falls through the air is akin to fresh rainfall, and we all love the smell of rain. This sense is most likely tingled by the most basic of human instincts that has us constantly seeking fresh water.

Really loved this place ,visited in Nov-21 was lucky got some rain during the visit. Everything is great here the trail ,view and best part the waterfall and swimming in it. One have to pay 500 rs /person + 100 rs toll + 40 rs life jacket tlthis will be a 45 min ride by a local jeep to the nearest point of waterfall and from there a walk toward waterfall which is 10 min.

Beautiful landscape.... absolutely mesmerizing... especially when the train passes.....yes but you have to be in pink of health both physically and mentally coz the approach is a little difficult....if you trek that's tiring and takes a lot of time and if you go for Jeep Safari which mostly people choose...you are up for a bumpy ride...but but the entire exhaustion wanes off once you reach your destination. Must visit recommended

I booked with Go Goa 1500/- per person, from North Goa early morning bus , and reached the destination at the entry point of the Jungle. From there we were assigned one Jeep with 7 people each till the waterfall. Time provided only 1.5 hours. 0.5 hour will take from Jeep to the waterfall and comeback. Only got 1 hour in the fall. A nice experience. Do take a life jacket as the waterfall lake has no base to stand if you are not a swimmer. Including a good buffet lunch. If you are adventurous then there is no limit you can trek on your own. If you are with family, better book by agent.

Awesome place to visit in your list while you are in GOA trip. The waterfall is in deep forest. You can reserve the jeep for your trip. Lovely experience. One for the books be careful of the monkeys๐Ÿคฃ they like to steal. The rocks become very slippery to walk on so please be careful and wear proper shoes. Do not rush even if people are behind you, take your time and enjoy a safe journey. On the way in the SUv we also saw a black panther in the reserve. Now they are taking booking online. I would suggest all the visitors who are planning to visit dudhsagar should book the ticket in advance online. To avoid wait line and if you come late may chance that you wont be allowed.
