This is one of the true hidden gems of Gothenburg, if you really enjoy amazing food, great tastes and you want them combined with fantastic wine from small producers all over the world? Then this is your place. Ask for Emma when it comes to the wines, here energy, passion, knowledge just makes the dinner perfect. 5-stars all over!!! You need reservations so plan in time.

An exceptional dining experience. All 8 courses were outstanding as was the service, from the pre-menu snack and beautiful bread, to the array of tasty biscuits served afterwards. The waiters were very friendly and down-to-earth and as you would expect, highly knowledgeable about the food and wine. Sometimes Michelin-starred restaurants can come with a certain attitude, but this restaurant was a delight from the moment entering to leaving, full and content four and a half hours later. Will be back on our next visit to Gothenburg!

Oh my. This is a Guide Michelin restaurant with a really friendly feeling to it! I loved the service as much as the food! It's the kind of place where you think you go once - and then you actually want to go the next day again. I will definetely return! We had the 4 course meal and it's def. enough food to get full from it! However would love to try a larger one next time!

An experience out of the ordinary 👍

Interesting flavours, tiny portions, loads of bread served. Excellent service. But just not good enough to give 5 stars. I would rank this one in top 10 of Gothenburg. But not at number one.

Were a bunch of friends at Thörnström's food school. It was a cozy place and the staff on site were super nice and good, but unfortunately we hardly cooked any food. Much was prepared and there were very few moments we had to do. As a food-obsessed bunch, we had been looking forward to learning techniques, exciting flavor combinations and more. But the food we "cooked" wasn't particularly innovative, exciting or educational. For the price you pay, we would have hoped for much more. Would not recommend this.

The "creative menu" is called "creative" for all the right reasons. Each new course eclipsed the previous ones. And the wine pairing was totally out of this world. You could taste the love for food & the craftsmanship throughout the whole evening.

Excellent hospitality by the staff, superb wines and lovely food! The fallow deer and its belongings that came with the dish was really wonderful from start to finish, the meat just melted away in the mouth. All was accompanied by excellent wines that the sommelier picked out for each dish. There was also a really interesting appetizer in the beginning with carrots in small squares lying in a pure with a half-frozen herb that was milled on top, very delightful. The warm bread that was served was excellent also! If you have the opportunity to visit Thörnströms Kök, you should definitely go for it!

A true must for anyone interested in tasting some of the best food in town. The menu offers both tasting options and a good à la carte selection. The wine list is very extensive but don't be shy and ask your waiter for recommendations, they're very firendly! Make sure to book a table well in advance since the place is quite popular. All in all, it's a clear choice for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in style.

Awesome Michelin * food with amazing hospitality and a very knowledgeable staff. The breads were so good I finished the whole lot of them and Evina (I think) was quick to bring more.

Overrated. It is one of that kind of establishments whose management believes that formal recognition (a Michelin star, in this case) makes it unnecessary to pay any attention to service quality as customers would be flocking in anyway. When it takes 1.5 hours to serve two starters (out of a six-course menu), one is not prone to enjoy the gastronomical feats but rather wonders if the whole charade will be over by midnight. One of the waitresses had fresh wrist cuts, seemingly from self-harm. Whatever is torturing that poor soul is not a reason to make the guests tolerate grooves of coagulated blood flying routinely in front of their noses. Not to say more, it's simply unhygienic.

What can I say... as someone who's travelled a lot, lives in Paris and considers herself a foodie, this place is my favorite restaurant till date in the world! This, together with the fact that this is actually my first review ever, says a lot. Having dinner here (also on your own) is a bliss. Some of the chefs of 3 star restaurants I've been should take a cooking class here. ;-) Cuisine is original and refreshing with a great price/quality balance, lovely setting and great staff! Recommend!!
