This was probably the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in, ever. Old, dirty, broken furniture, smelly, 70s worn out stained carpets. And don’t look under the bed - never been cleaned, ever. I was afraid we were going to get bedbugs. We were there for one night, and canceled the rest of our stay. Went to the much nicer, cleaner, and cheaper Holiday Inn. I don’t believe any of the good reviews given on this app for this hotel -it’s a scam.

When searching for a place to stay while visiting family in Goiânia, I looked at Castros and was told this was the best place to stay in Goiânia. As a world traveller, I was expecting a 5 star hotel with service to match. What we got was an outdated, basic hotel. The rooms were adequate but could have done with a refurbish. The whole hotel In fact needs a face lift. I would suggest that the owners go and stay in a real 5 star hotel in Vegas or Dubai to see the difference in what they offer. Asked for an iron to be brought to the room, only to be told they didn’t have one. And there was no trouser press either. Had to keep asking for extra shower gel. The toilet would never flush properly and had to call maintenance several times. The breakfast (if you can call it that) left a lot to be desired. They made me an omelete one day- asked for a cheese onion and tomato- ended up getting ham!! On a positive note- the staff were really friendly and the door guys and concierge guys were great, a real asset to the Castro hotel. My advice- book the holiday inn or the Hilton. Cheaper and I can imagine, a lot nicer.

I was surprised to find such fluent English service in Goiania (the city was not on a list of tourist hotspots .. I was there to visit my girlfriend). This place has a very good Feijoada service as well as a decent buffet. Rooms are nice and comfortable.

We had a REALLY bad experience at this hotel! we were 5 people staying in 3 different rooms. My English friend forgot his jacket in the wardrobe and the other day when it was missing and remembered, the hotel said they hadn't found it. An expensive Christian Dior jacket, it wouldn't have just disappeared like that, he didn't take it elsewhere, he just forgot it in the hotel wardrobe. Definitely not a place to trust, I do not recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel, attentive and courteous staff, clean rooms, and cold air conditioning. If you are visiting from the states, you will find this hotel to be an oasis in Goiânia.

Great staff, helpful and kind. Great food at the restaurant and the most energetic waiter at the pool bar. Stayed with a 1 year old and everything went smoothly, they even have a baby feeding /nursing room and kids play room. Its an old hotel but all these amenities make it worth it.

They call themselves a 5-star hotel, which they are not. But it is good place and probably the best hotel in Goiânia. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Very good ... the pamonha at breaks here was another level of wholesome goodness … the reception lady is useless but all other staff were fantastic. My daughter loved the stay and we will come back

I only ate at the restaurant. The chef is exceptional and service is tops. If you are visiting I highly recommend. This is a must.

I spent two nights in this hotel and boy was it a let down. How can a five star hotel be this bad? The toilet barely flushed and the shower head? Jesus Christ the shower head worked like a gardeners hose! Also, why are there still bidets? So unhygienic. The beds? They were so uncomfortable! I swear I’ve seen the same beds used in camping trips. Half of the buttons to turn the lights on did not even work. The workers were amazing and the food was great but the hotel in general was most definitely not 5 star worthy let alone worth the price. Honestly the hotel is not worth the hype and if you’re traveling from outside I’d recommend finding somewhere else worth your money.

Well the hotel is fantastic, but really old fashioned, it’s must be renovated!
