Thrift store Charity

😠 Used to be a great store, but now it is prohibitively expensive. Definitely no good for families looking for affordable clothing, shoes and household items. I literally laughed at prices which included Kmart clothes priced more than retail. Wont bother going back. Shout out to the staff who are wond... People often mention store, price, prices,

Vinnies is pretty much getting too expensive for a place that gets goods for free. New item prices are not much cheaper than retail, but retail you get a warranty, some are even more expensive! Antiques are pretty much the same price as an antique store, other used goods are around the same price as a pawn shop. Mostly, similar items are far cheaper on ebay or gumtree. I would give those sites a chance first! I find in general opp shops, that operate with the tax benefits, no longer really cater for poor people who would like to have something nice in their house, but are more akin to making money money money. I realise that their are some people who frequent opp shops to buy and resell at a profit, as they do garage sales etc, but let's face it, if you go to that much trouble you are not rolling in it and now that line of a few extra bucks is also cut off. I also realise that these charities also supply needs for the destitute, but they have unnecessary high overheads in supplying those services for Christian organisations. They should return to their old ethos and give the poorer a chance to have something nice in their home instead of reminding them of their low social value. I edit this review to say they are getting worse, to the point I will no longer donate to them.

Went out empty handed. Ridiculous pricing…fair condition with loose thread women cardigans price $8. Those very good condition clothes are $10 and more considering they are secondhand. For Bric a brac I didn’t find less than a dollar. And for the shoes and bags price ranges from $10 - $40, cost more when it is branded. Men’s fair condition used tshirt price $8… ilove op shops and shopping to these stores helps me to save and have a budget on other things. Staff are awesome, friendly and energetic. They have too much stuff in the store because not much people buy from them. Compared to other vinnies stores, this store is just way expensive.

An upmarket high end shopping experience. Beautiful displays and quality stock with a stunning women's clothing section like a boutique store. A great men's clothing section which is hard to find in some opshops. At the entrance are large crates to place donations into allocated bins. A massive store fully air conditioned with a huge turnover of fantastic stock. Stock includes Antiques which not all stores have and dedicated areas for everything in sectioned displays.. Clean and quality, prices are cheap with fair prices on collectibles. The volunteers are passionate and dedicated it shows in the presentation of this beautiful Vinnies store. Open 7 days a week for all your treasure hunting!!

I used to like visiting this store but I feel more recently the pricing of used items are absurd. I can buy clothes and things brand new for what they’re asking.

This place is the biggest rip off, not only are they way over price for the free donations they receive but I bought two items here today. One of them being $25 and the other $7. Not only do both of these together add up to $32 but the math is really simple. I was charged $33, I know it’s only a dollar which is why I didn’t say anything in store but it’s not the first time this has happened to me. So every time it does happen they’re still earning a bit of a profit still. Absolutely horrified at this store and I will not be returning. I’d give 0 zero stars if I could but for this they’re getting a 1.

Beautiful stuff. Ridiculous prices. Very disappointing. Place is clean and tidy and has lots of great stock. Unfortunately the prices are so high, we didn't buy anything. It's a shame.

I had a good experience today. Items were very well laid out and changing rooms were very clean and roomy. Half price on dresses which is a bargain. Some of the kids clothes are a little overpriced but there are some bargains if you really looked. There was also half price on toys today and they had some neat stuff. Good variety and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Will come back again!
