they cancelled twice 10 minutes before the appointment because the doctor was "sick". the first time was in september 2020. they told us we'd have to wait til february 2021?! when we asked for a deposit back, they said they couldnt, and magically found an appointment slot for november (which was also cancelled on the day). really unprofessional and screws over new customers. based off the other reviews, id stay away from this company.

There are many other clinics to go to where you will be treated nicely. The reception staff here are quick to shut you down and argue with you rather than fix their errors kindly and professionally and get everything on track. They escalate simple conversations and questions into unnecessary arguments without your choice. I have had skin issues that need treatment and these people do no care about you. I hope the doctors or owners here at this location can see this review to deal with their unprofessional reception team accordingly. No one deserves treatment like that; It is very clear I am one of many who have been treated similar. I am disappointed that I have to express a negative review here as the initial consultation was awesome.. Overall - avoid this place at all costs - I implore you to see a good clinic that will actually look after you. What ever their reply to is to this review do not buy it unless it is a sincere formal apology and they wish to rectify this.. These people are awful =(

Have been on accutane for a year and had about 3 appointments, every other appointment (should be at least every 3 months I was told) has been canceled and rescheduled for months later with no help from reception what so ever. Have had concerns over side effects and have been wanting to come in and have seek professional advice to no avail. Horrible experience

Called the other day and spoke to a lovely lady called Kelsey. She explained everything really well and found an appointment available that worked for me. All questions I had she answered which really helped my nerves! 10/10 would recommend

The dermatologist went above and beyond in caring for my 15 year old son. I explained that my husband had some questions and concerns over one common acne treatment based on an experience he had 33 years ago; during the course of our consultation the doctor offered other options and explained these treatment options in a way that was easy to comprehend and also went on to fully explain potential side effects. He then offered to call my husband so he could hear the information as well (he was at work). We were able to call him during the session and the doctor re-explained everything to my husband and answered all of his questions in a warm and balanced manner. Often in healthcare we can feel hurried or at the mercy of the clinicians advice and directives. This was such a refreshing experience. There is a wonderful quote from Theodore Roosevelt - “No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care” The doctor did not just pass on to us his knowledge and he did not come at us from at expert to lay person stance either. He took the time to connect with my 15 year old son, asked him what mattered to him and asked me if I had any questions or concerns. He then took the time to call my husband and included him in the consultation. He gave us treatment options, time to reflect/discuss and the opportunity to call him if we had any further questions later on. We left with a feeling of safely and trust in the practice. My son undertook initial blood tests and the doctor called us with the results, checking in on how we were all doing and offered us further opportunity for questions. It’s very rare to see this level of care. We felt that the doctor genuinely cared about my son as a person and not just his skin condition. We also felt fully reassured as a family that our son is in very capable hands. If you are looking for a clinic that puts care before cosmetics and patients before profits, visit Brisbane Skin in North Lakes, you will not be disappointed.

I recently had a treatment here and I have to say I am so impressed with the service and level of care provided by all staff members. From the receptionists, the nurses and doctors - all of them were able to assist in my care and I ended up with great results. Very happy with my fraxel laser results from Sam - could not recommend her enough. I have been to many dermatologists in the part for birthmarks/ other skin conditions and been left so disappointed and ripped off. So happy I finally found a good one!

I have spent lots of money on treatments recommend by the specialist. Nothing Worked. Went to see this lovely young Dr the treatment she gave me had worked after three treatments. Just Brilliant Highly highly recommend this Dr. Sarah Borthwick.

Hi. Im Mitchie & had developed a melasma overnight on my cheeks and forehead for not wearing sunscreen. It is a very stubborn skin condition & cant seem to lighten it. Ive been using everything to get rid of it (creams, serums etc). Been to GP & 3 different clinics for 3+ years & no success. I almost give up but then one day me & my friend decided to go for a 'derma' to get rid of her acne scars & i said ok, i might come w/ u and will ask about my melasma. She said to google Brisbane skin clinic located in north lakes. I did, then I booked an appointment. Since then never regret what i did. I've been seeing Sam for my Qlaser treatment, & shes very informative w/ pleasant personality -I could ask her anything about my skin w/o feeling ashamed about it & she make sure that im fine & not uncomfortable during my treatments. I've been going to Brisbane skin at north lakes for a few years now to use the led light. The dermatologist there is absolutely amazing and the ladies at the reception desk are always so lovely and welcoming! I highly recommend Brisbane Skin North Lakes. I am currently being treated for psoriasis and am visiting the clinic 3 times a week for light therapy. I absolutely love each visit as the beautiful staff make it feel like home - They’re all so friendly and helpful. On top of this, the treatment is working amazingly!!! 10/10!!!
