Considering the very beautiful Langham hotel and residential complex (Jewel) this café, for our little group of 4, was a disappointing experience. A local was keen to show us the exquisite Langham reception and foyer area and we decided to have brunch at this café so well situated close to the beach. There is a large open outdoor area perfect for ‘26 & Sunny’. Hopefully the café will invest in outdoor gas heating units for the cool wintry days. The outdoor tables are fine for coffee only, awkward for meals. Four of us ordered together but the first and easiest order of a ham and cheese croissant was forgotten and came out ‘cold’ after a reminder when the rest of us had eaten. The coffees were mixed up and cappuccino served as a soy latte. My fish bites were absolutely delicious and the tuna poke bowl was apparently very tasty. The omelette sandwich which cost $22.00 was small and bland and apparently less than ordinary. The location of the café really is good and with time and feedback I am sure service and food quality will improve. Will check it out again next visit to the Gold Coast.

26 & Sunny is a beautiful café located right on the beach. We enjoyed one of the best açai bowls we’ve ever had. The bowls had a generous amount of fresh seasonal fruit. We will come back for another meal.

First time here and l can understand the disappointment of some of the local people. We where exited to try but very disappointing. Waiting 20 minutes plus for our coffee.. we asked if they were coming soon and received some attitude. We also ordered 2 croissants thay came out quickly but l would like to eat it with my coffee, instead of constant looking if our coffee was coming. A croissants is a croissant little expensive $$$. Great location but l think it doesn't mean you can charge over the top prices . Not sure if I can pick anything positive except for location and view. You will need to do a lot of work to get me back. Hope you can turn it around.

I wasn’t going to try this cafe after seeing(but not reading) low ratings. But we just needed a cup of coffee, and staying at the hotel, it was best location. The customer service by a lady at the counter was amazing! Super friendly and attentive. We got our coffee and almond croissant which tasted great! We sat by the counter over looking the ocean/beach but protected from the elements. It was a perfect way to start the day!

We were looking for a cafe in surfers paradise for our breakfast and we saw 26 & Sunny. So we decided to give it a try. Croissant 🥐 is always my favourite pastry to try in every single cafe we visited. I love the plain croissant because it’s buttery and flaky. It came with a handcrafted butter - the perfect match with the croissant.

The staff were very nice and friendly. We really enjoyed our food, the burger was delicious and was all I could want. Salad was amazing. Was right on the beach and had the greatest atmosphere. Will definitely come again!

The fantastic location right along the beach is no doubt a major attraction of this Cafe, however I had a hard time paying $8 pp for a standard takeaway coffee with no extras. I can't comment on the food as the prices were right up there as well. No issues with the service, the staff were both polite and prompt.

The only thing going for this place is its location. Unfortunately, everything else is disappointing. The staff behind the coffee machine didn't even acknowledge the existence of us as customers. They didn't even have juice of any kind in the shop. Only softdrink and alcohol in the fridge. It's really expensive for mediocre food. It was so disappointing. I hope the owners do something about it because it has allot of potential.

HORRIBLE! Ridiculous prices. $8 for a coffee that didn't taste anymore than warm milk mixed with a weak shot. Outside of coffee cup wasn't clean. Sausage roll $10 and dried out. Nothing came in order of service 😕 Just didn't feel clean or welcoming. The prices topped it off.

If I could give this place a zero I would! Nearly every review of this place says the same thing. Ridiculously expensive coffee. I was gobsmacked to see the price of coffee. It isn’t even that good! Management keep replying to these reviews saying they are reviewing prices etc etc. if they were they wouldn’t still be charging $8 for a 12oz coffee. It isn’t much better than 7/11 in all honesty. Staff also need some training on how to interact with customers. Customer service was non existent. Poor very poor. How the Langham can have this terrible business bringing it down I do not know. Seriously go elsewhere people, you’ll only be left with a bitter taste in your mouth and it’s won’t be from the coffee!!

Tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt as it was part of the Langham but should have listened to the reviews. $9 for a large coffee and on top of that we waited 30 minutes for the coffee that never came. The food came out (ordinary and also overpriced) still no coffee. When we went inside to follow up they told us the coffee had already been sent out?! Very poor customer experience. Don’t waste your time or your money.

Local here, I agree with the overall 3 star rating it really is. It's a pure tourist trap. A place with a great location but misses the mark on everything else. I paid $20 for a coffee and toasted sandwich. At that price i would expect it to be amazing. I waited about 15 minutes to receive the toasty and it was very underwhelming. The coffee was way too hot and was just bland. A toasty isn't that hard to make great, go to Rafiki if you want some inspiration. I hope the owner makes this place amazing. It has so much potential. If he can get the locals on their side you could expect lines out the door every day.

The wait to order was so long. Then the wait for food and drinks we're equally long. We ordered ham, cheese & tomato croissant, a dirty chai & tea. Food came out first and was only a plain croissant. Returned and got the correct order. Still waiting on drinks at this point. Tea was average and we didn't get a dirty chai but more like a cappuccino. At this point, couldn't be bothered returning and waiting again. Such a shame as the cafe is in a prime location on the beach and the staff were really lovely despite the stuff ups.

Meals were simple but nice. Lovely decor and the view is superb. Got the wrong burger to start with but they happily swapped it. It's a great addition to a quiet stretch of beach.

The location of this place is perfect which is why I choose to come back. However there’s so much room for improvement. I have travelled the majority of Australia and have never ever seen a hot coffee priced $ 7/8/9 (or a bottle of water for $6 ) It just makes the customer feel ripped off a little bit Service is also very slow unfortunately I would recommend getting those codes on the table so we can order from our seats without waiting in line at least .

Coffee is not good and paid $8 for a medium coffee . lol . Two stars is a bit generous for my review but the staff were friendly .

Saw the 2.9 stars rating but decided to go in anyway for coffee. Saw that it was $8 for a medium coffee - walked straight back out again. Glad I did after reading the reviews. Never seen coffee so expensive anywhere in my life and by the sounds of it, it’s not worth it either

$8 for a coffee is absolutely absurd. I can understand if it was filtered single origin beans; however that was not! Service was poor, coffee was poor. I live not even 50 meters away from this cafe and I will not return. What is the reason for almost double the standard coffee price?

Whilst the great location & decor of the place was amazing, the service/food experience wasn’t as expected, especially being next to the Langham hotel. Ordering was quite slow with the cashier a bit distracted with other workers, had to repeat order to two different people after the first didn’t know if something could be added to a dish. We ordered two Summer Salads, with added chicken (they only had fried), which was bland and tasteless even when adding the chicken, lacked flavour. Chips were great!
