If you’re looking for a positive review you’re in the wrong one. I’ll be honest and blunt, this was my first and many from our groups first time “dining” at Koi. Safe to say there’s always a first and last for everything not a single person from our group have said they would come again. We had a group booking for 6:30 and had ordered all of our entrees and mains by 6:50. At that time the restaurant I would say was close to what their “busy period” for the evening would be, but far from what we actually say is busy compared to what a Friday or weekend would be. (This is a Tuesday night) Come 7:30 and we are still waiting for any sign of food to come to our table. The table behind us had 7 adults and some children and we could see their children’s meals had come out. (They did order after us but we understand children meals are prioritised). Finally by 7:40 all the “flat bread and bread” has been served. Now after waiting close to 40 minutes already our table was ravishing hungry! We were highly expecting our meals to come out pretty soon after. It now comes to 8:10 it’s been close to 90 minutes since we ordered any meals and we are all still waiting for our mains, oh except the couple who ordered the whole chicken, their main meal came out with the breads. We were told “the chicken came out first by accident it was told to be cooked first because it takes the longest” The table behind us have now also asked the waiter where their meals are, I heard the waiter say and point to us “oh that group is also waiting for their mains too they did order first” But to our surprise at about 8:15 a steak or two get brought to our table, it wasn’t ours it was actually the table behind us. The waiter takes the food over there and all that tables mains arrived.. The waiter then comes over to us and says “oh I’m sorry you guys have ordered more steaks then they did that’s why theirs came first” At this point at now 8:20 before the remainder of the mains are placed on the table. Various steaks and mains. So say the wait time was the least of our issues would be an understatement. A “well done” steak came out as bright pink and the other persons “rare” steak and was sent back. Multiple people on our table did complain about the steaks being cold, the gravy also being cold too. As for my meal the calamari and spring rolls severely overpriced and under delivered barely warm to the touch. We did bring our issues and concerns to the manager, and I don’t believe it’s the waiters fault, which he was happy to place blame on his waiter about the chicken coming out too early. Not a single care about the wait time for the remaining 13 guests. One of our guests even said to the manager “I’d hate to see what you guys are like when it’s actually busy in here, to which the manager says oh you don’t think this is busy”. This was a real dampener for our birthday girl, all anyone could talk about towards the end of the evening was how disappointing it was to wait so long. On a week night having a booking for 6:30 you would expect to be finished and ready to go home by 8pm… not still waiting for your meals to arrive at 8:15 to then also leave still very very hungry and annoyed.

Popular place in Broadbeach that has been here for ages. Great cocktails and food. A must order is the tempura bugs and prawns! The gnocchi Bolognese, eye fillet and pumpkin side was surprisingly tasty too. The seafood platter for two was pricey and the quality didn't quite match it for me. Otherwise, a pleasant dining experience.

Have had several fantastic meals prior. Tonight was sub - the mains arrived before the starters - 40 min wait for flat bread! Then mains came again after - but steaks were Cold. Did NOT enjoy. If this was my first time, I would never come back. Service was friendly. Left restaurant wishing I had gone anywhere else.

We were recommended Koi by a friend of ours that has dined with you previously. We are on holidays from Melbourne and were looking forward to dining with you guys. On arrival we were met by a very friendly guy who gave us the choice of two tables to choose from once seated we started to look through the menu some time went by and we had been there for now 20min with not one of the waiters coming to offer us any drinks, I got up and asked the friendly guy at the front who was in charge, as we had not been served yet. He was very apologetic and sent someone over straight away and said the first round of drinks were on the house. Great I thought, I ordered my usual CC&dry in a Short Glass, my wife a wine, the kids a Apple Juice and a Raspberry lemonade. Drinks came out soon after but my CC& dry in a Tall glass not a short as I had ordered, I told the waitress that I ordered a short glass so she took it back and said she would get me another. I seen the waitress from my table take it up to the guy behind the bar watched him roll his eyes and tip half of the drink into a short glass then the waitress brought it back over. I told the waitress that Iam not drinking that as I watched him tip Half of it out, she again apologized and said she will make another one. Once that was sorted the rest of the night was ok up until it was time to pay the bill. The lady up the front printed it out and said here you go I looked at it and seen we had been charged for a bottle of wine which we had never ordered the waiter then came over asking if I got the bottle of wine which was strange as he had been serving us, any way once that was sorted I paid the bill and was asked if I would like to tip my waiter in front of the waiter which I replied no I seen the two both smirk at each other. Once we arrived back at our hotel I was going through our bill again talking about it with my wife and realized we had also been charged for the supposedly free round of first drinks. Overall the food was great but the service was very disappointing and due to that I don’t think I would dine with Koi again nor recommend anyone else to dine there either.

Having lived on the coast for 20 Years we have walked past this place and not eaten here dozens if not hundreds of times. Last night was différant: we decided to give it a try. Staff were quick to find us a table even though it was busy. Food was delicious and hot and fresh. The Morten bay bugs were perhaps the best we have ever had.

Amazing restaurant for a great night out. The restaurant is beautifully lit and designed to suit the area. The service was impeccable and although the restaurant was quite packed, we were attended to quite quickly. Their food was divine. Everything was prepared to perfection and presented with care and aesthetics in mind. The portions were very decent and overall items were fairly priced for what you get. They do offer halal beef and chicken but may need to let them know so they can accommodate meals without using alcohol. If you are looking for a exceptional night out without being overly formal, then this is the place to be.

It was a perfect place for dinner especially because it was a special day. We were running late but the staff was super polite and cooperative. We ordered a couple of dishes and all of them did justice to the price we paid. Ambience is chill and the vibe is good.

Absolutely amazing food, with exceptional flavours. Some of the dishes were absolute perfection. One of the best meals I have had in a while. Staff were really professional and friendly. Cocktails were out of this world too.

Above any expectations! 🤩 Spectacular food and flawless service. We were welcomed by Felipe, who enthusiastically suggested our meals and nailed it! We enjoyed every bite. Each dish plays with flavours and textures in a brilliant way. Nicole served us with a large smile and lovely conversation. The venue is stunning and a perfect place for a first date, a celebration, or a relaxing meal after a long day. Recommended: pork belly, confit potato with a purée that tastes like Heaven (!) and any of their beautiful salads. We can’t wait to visit Koi again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely setting with warmers against the cold. The place was cozy and the servings were ample. It came within 20 minutes. The food was very good. Octopus and pasta was fresh and so good.

My fav rest. I have been here several times and the food is just soo good. The place is beautiful and has an amazing vibe. My only concern is that after our appetizer they always takes like 40 to 50 min to serve our main course and its soo frustrating because we are starving lol hope you can give attention to that part . But overall really nice restaurant and food. And staff of course.

This was a fantastic venue for big groups. It was semi outdoor setting with modern interior. They served wholesome food so nicely presented. The desserts were just delicious too! We had great waitstaff who were friendly and welcoming.

Second time we went ( with my family ) in this restaurant, the service is always truly friendly. The food is DELICIOUS. And thank you to Didier. He is naturally funny and kind. He always smiles ( and speaks french 😆 ) as French people it is always a pleasure to have a discussion with people familiar with French. We will come back !🤗

We came to Koi based off seeing some photos of the food on Instagram and other written reviews. It was quite busy for a Wednesday night, but staff were attentive and fast.. maybe a little too fast actually. Staff took away plates from our table which still had food on them (I was unable to stop them from doing this twice, as I had my mouth full both times and couldn’t speak) staff also didn’t actually ask to remove the plates, just went ahead and did it quickly. It also happened to the couple sitting beside us. Drinks were nice, but quite expensive compared to surrounding restaurants and smaller than what I had seen in photos. Food was lovely, but expensive and portions extremely small. I didn’t think to take photos as I was shocked! 5 pieces of octopus on a plate for almost $30.. we also got the oysters, which were beautifully buttery in texture. And lamb rump, again lovely but unfortunately we didn’t get to finish it.. Overall, nice place if you’re looking for a bit more of a fancier night out. Hopefully you don’t arrive hungry.

We had the most beautiful dinner with exceptional service! Anastasia made some recommendations from the menu and they were all incredible! Banana donuts were a winner. All staff at Koi made sure my son’s birthday was very special. Thanks guys, much appreciated ❤️

Sensational lunch and wonderful service. We shared three entrees and both had a steak for mains. All were cooked to perfection. Very impressed to see the steak served with bone marrow. Will definitely be back. Best steak I have had anywhere.

We went to Koi Broadbeach with a large group of 20 and the food, atmosphere and super friendly service was outstanding. It was so good I went back for lunch on Sunday for the live music sessions and had a ball. A must go to in the Gold Coast. I will be back.

The service was to die for! Found a table an hour before our booking, and moved us to another table under a heater when came available. Brought out three different wines for us to taste before deciding on the bottle. Made us feel extremely welcome and the host Didier was incredible he went above and beyond and deserves a pay rise

Great vibe, the food is decadent and the drinks are sensational. Definitely recommend making a booking as it can be hard to get in. Prices are very reasonable and the menu offers a great selection of Italian favourites.

The food is incredible, with service to match. The Thai beef salad was probably the best I've ever had. The deserts are unique and big enough to share. The special birthday candle was a delight. The chairs are super comfortable. This is one place you'll not regret going to and I can't wait to go back there!

Awesome, as always. Service was great, and the food was simply outstanding. Unfortunately for us on the night, the menu was slightly restricted due to issues with the friers, so 4 stars it is. Thanks, Koi team, for a great night out.

Unfortunately cannot rate this place any higher it wasn’t very busy but we waited a long time for food. The waitresses were helpful and friendly but unfortunately it was not nice to see the host on the front desk (guy with pony tail) be very rude to them in front of everyone, we felt bad for the girls the whole time, this guy on the door is loud and obnoxious and should probably be moved to wait on a section instead. He does not represent the restaurant well

Had a lovely lunch on Mother’s Day. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Location is good and the restaurant has a nice ambience about it .Had buttermilk calamari to share and it was delicious. Had soft shell crab gyros which were very tasty. The fries would have been better on the side, not in the dish. Would definitely eat here again.

Love coming to this restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff are always bright and friendly. Need to book! Very popular establishment.

Have been to Koi a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. This week I took my sister and brother in law to watch the boys on Sunday. They loved the show the food and the atmosphere here. We will be back. Cheers.
