Popped in today for a quick spot of lunch! Overall a nice experience! We loved the fit out, service from the staff and beverages, all great. Won’t lie the food was average today… calamari felt partly cooked, chicken was a little overdone…. Just wasn’t the nicest. That said, would go again.

Average food unfortunately. The schnitzel, coleslaw and mushroom sauce could have had more flavour. The menu is also not very traditional Bavarian. But the locale is cool and they have great beer/cider on tap.

Always a great time at The Bavarian Broadbeach! Delicious, hearty food (you will not be leaving hungry - and be sure to bring an appetite!😋) Big shout out to Cesar, he’s a fabulous manager as well as Sam more recently. Thanks team for all round good vibes always. Can’t wait to be back!

Today I was served by Kevin, who was such a legend and was extremely knowledgeable regarding the beers on offer. Kevins helpful tips pointed me to the Mango Weissbeir which I have to say was absolutely delicious. This is my second time here and the service offered by Kevin was next level. Will come back here again. 🙏👍🏼

This place is a must if you love a bit of atmosphere, awesome food, a quality German beverage and quality customer service. Go see Chris @ the barbarian broad beach.

Great casual place to eat with a bit of difference and some of the classics all out together. Traditional German music in the background, large tankards beer and sausages, sauerkraut and schnitzels, what more could you ask for. This is the 4rd time we have been to the Bavarian and the 3rd time to the one in Broadbeach….. Really enjoyable place to eat, now the negatives, gluten free options are really minimal, when we asked for a friend recently, their staff were confused and had no idea, said they would have to ask the chef and was told only the plain wings and one salad was gluten free, very disappointing in this day and age. Lots of their specials aren’t so special when you add things on, went for the (from) $15 dollar schnitzel last night and that was just the schnitzel, $8 to add on chips and then all the other different toppings, made it very expensive, we ended up just taking the Parmigiana from the menu. That said, we keep going back, so they are defiantly doing something right.

Great German styled restaurant. The food was excellent. The beers were excellent as well, also German. As it was a Tuesday night, it was quite quiet, which helped the ambience.

Stinky pork belly ( smells like urine). Super hard shell on the outside. This isn’t the real deal. The sausages were nothing special. I think they were from the grocery store. Very expensive for the quality. I did finish the mash potatoes and cabbage. I knew not to expect much when half of the menu was occupied by chicken and burgers. If you are looking for quality German food, forget it. We think they reheated the food because the pork belly was warm and dry. The rest of the food was warm as well. We came for lunch and the place was not busy. We had to wait for the server because he wasn’t around. When he did appear he had a mouth full of food. I noticed the server was always away. A gentleman came in to order a drink at the bar and had to wait for someone to appear. Very disappointing.

Awfully poor customer experience in The Bavarian Broadbeach. I'm very disappointed with a service, or better say absolute absence of service. We have visited another The Bavarian in Rockhampton before, an it was just awesome, friendly and helpful staff, perfect food, amazing time spent. But the one on Broadbeach was pure disappointment. Nobody met us at the sign "please wait to be seated", after several minutes of waiting barman call for us to go to him and told us to search place on our own. We came to this restaurant to order Munich platter for two, but it was out of stock, because one of the main courses was out as well. We tried to speak to someone from the staff to replace this meal with another one to get that amazing experience we had before, but all the very busy waiters just ignored us and the barman did not even tried to listen and said "no" immediately. My cocktail somehow took longer to cook then pork belly, and I got wrong knife for meat and it was impossible to use with Pork Belly, which was quite dry itself. My friend enjoyed pork ribs, but he had to wait for an hour to get his order. Additionally the ordering app does not show full price. 10% is added after the total is displayed, which is twice as disturbing because of poor service. Overall: terribly disappointing, especially after I witnessed how it all could be done in another "The Bavarian".

We called in when walking past, the staff were friendly and helpful, I had the pork belly and the other half the market fish, the pork belly while nice was a little burnt on the actual skin, so while nice I was unable to consume it all.

AMAZING chicken parmy! Perfectly cooked and delicious, massive portion, usually comes with salad but i asked for no salad hence the lack of salad in my pic. Friendly staff, great meals, would recommend

Nice German beers selection. Had the Jager Schnitzel and it was really good but the sauce needed a bit of salt or something, was lacking flavour. Really nice chips though. Pretzels are really small and definitely not like the real German ones (they are huge). They do taste ok though. Meals came out pretty quickly as well as the drinks. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Overall was pretty good and we will be back as it's something different to experience.

Very lovely staff and a decent selection of beers. Menu comes with vegetarian options. But couldn't taste nor feel the love at the venue. I don't think you'll go wrong here but I wouldn't rush back.

Yasmin was so patient, kind, and fun to boot. Our experience at The Bavarian was dramatically improved by Yasmin's hospitality. Thank you.

It was a GREAT experience. We went there for lunch and it was fantastic. The food it decently priced with good portion sizes unlike some other restaurants in the area. I had the special of a schnitzel covered in pasta and it was really good. The staff are quick and on the ball. We were waiting for a while and our waiter brought out a small snack for us to share. I would definitely recommend going here if you would like good, hearty, German food.

Very disappointed with the pork schnitzel… the meat was dry and chewy, the crumbs were thick and didn’t coat the meat well. The chef needs to attend a schnitzel making class before being offered a job here ! The Bavarian cabbage salad tasted like it was prepared last week and had been kept in the fridge ….

Absolutely delicious (and massive portion) food. Our family had a very tasty dinner and we'll definitely be back.

We dined here twice while on a ten day holiday to Broadbeach. Both times we ordered the BAVARIAN TASTING PLATTER from the classics menu - Crackling pork belly, crispy pork knuckle, German sausages, chicken schnitzel, sauerkraut, red cabbage, creamy mash, apple compote & bier jus Food is amazing! And beer is too PROST!

Had a lovely night out with my sister. The food was excellent as always and just overall great quality. Service time was amazing and food came out quickly and correctly. Jordan was definitely the highlight of our night, fabulous customer service and made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be coming back again and bringing more friends for a good time. 😁
