We had lunch there yesterday. We ordered the Fisherman’s basket. I was surprised they actually served it. Three pieces of burnt dried fish. No calamari rings and salad. just thrown on there. The chips and prawns were fine. For the price which was expensive would expect some effort. I notice there is another review on the same thing. The hotel itself is beautiful and staff friendly. A great location. That’s what the 2 stars are for. I would hope the rest of the menu offers better food.

The food at the restaurant was not good at all. We asked for the roast of the day and asked what the roast was to which we were told roast lamb. So all good until half a dry roast chicken and barely cooked vegetables was served. The meal was barely edible . To their credit the management acknowledged that the waitress was new and didn’t know much about the menu given it was her second day. They were generous and didn’t charge us for the roast of the day , but one us was still quite hungry at the end of a date night! Please check with management before deciding on the roast of the day, not a first world problem we know but it can make the difference between a good night and a rather ordinary one.

Food is one of the lowest qualities I’ve ever had, I ordered Reef & Beef and paid $50, I didn’t get the eye fillet that it suppose to come with, instead it was cheap piece of defrosted beef, very tough and chewy, prawns again weren’t good at all, they seemed old. The mushroom sauce turned out to be just a powdered gravy with one slice of mushroom in it, it was disgusting. Chips were done in old oil, very unpleasant.the rest of the food was dry, Salad was okay, that’s all I ate as the rest of the food was uneatable and unpleasant. I strongly recommend eating elsewhere.

I’m not sure why the security guards are allowed to keep working here when they have videos of them throwing people down the stairs. It’s not long before someone dies. Will never ever visit this venue again, it’s dangerous and security is on a massive power trip.

Nice location, ok service, bad food. I've ordered a chicken Kiev, the menu says filled with...... but nothing. Badly fried chicken breast with a garlic butter on the side. On top of that, portions are huge and a lot of food waste, No one in the restaurant would finish the plate

Great meals at Coconut Willy's. Fresh salads, seafood and good sized meals all round. Friendly staff. Prices reasonable for what you get. Beautiful ocean view overlooking Broadwater watching the boats. Will return.

Food is not the greatest pizza was cold, We go to this local often but see since we started going weekly management started kicking us out for being tired or trying to explain Zero free sugar cruisers when the music is majorly loud, mean while someone had knocked there head in, ambulance had to come in. I think they too focus upon the real drunk people instead of judging peoples looks. The Ego of the management team is very self centered. Discrimination at its finest. Its ridiculous people like us like to have a good time not get judged for how we speak or how we look. Straight up RUDE. BOUNCERS even have the audacity to ask you what your doing on your phone. Privacy act ??? Unbelievable if the bartenders dont like you you get the boot automatically.

We celebrated two special birthdays with lunch for 14 at Kokonut Willys on Saturday 20 August 2022. From the time of booking, staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. At Saturday lunchtime on a glorious warm day, the bistro was busy and buzzing. The various meals we ordered arrived in great time and were very enjoyable. Staff refrigerated the cakes we brought along, which they helped decorate and present with plates and cutlery. They also offered, and took, our group photos! Our experience was amazing. Thanks to all and well done!

Great looking venue, just doesn’t suit my taste, as it’s a well known “meat market” lol. Great if you’re looking to pick up !!! Good live gigs, bistro looks ok. Can’t say I’ll be back in a hurry.

I just celebrated my 50th Birthday at the Grand Hotel. I was extremely happy with everything. The service was great and I was well looked after. Mitch is a credit to the team there. He was amazing looking after me on my special night. Nothing was to much. We also stayed in the apartments. The view is amazing. Was a memorable weekend.

What a great pub. Right on the water. Kokonut Willy's restaurant is fantastic. Ginormous menu that will cater for all tastes. Food is good quality and plentiful. We make this our 'local' when we're on the northern end of the Gold Coast.

We have had 7 glorious days at The Grand, just so wonderful to be away from the busy GC tourist trade, apartments are fantastic, very clean & well set up, double glazed windows, magnificent beds, showers, kitchen appliances, 3 door fridge with filtered water & ice maker, staff are so obliging. The restaurants close by, Broadwater activities at your doorstep, no car needed, fantastic GC buses at your door, supermarkets within 15 min walk, all around this majes for a fantastic holiday, we will be back annually to get away from our Victorian winters, special thanks to Jenny, Karen & all the ever so helpful staff, Anne & Sharon 🥳🥳🥳

Location is great. After directed to my third bar to place the order, the cocktails had next-to-no alcohol - most expensive chocolate milkshake and strawberry slushy I've ever had.. 14/11 - Afternoon shift. The only shining light was the Shift Supervisor (forget her name, sorry) was genuinely apologetic for the fiasco placing a simple order.

Went to have a dinner there. Really good food, tasty, decent sized portions, very reasonable prices. Service was friendly and quick. Beaut location to go for a seaside stroll before or after dinner. Will be back when next in the area.

It is a classic place. Can sit outside and have snacks and still hear the music. Good for a night inside where you can dance. Good fun to be had. Opposite the beach. On the bus line. Close to Southport.

The good ole Grand Hotel. True Friday night staple for the locals of the Northern end of the Gold Coast. If it's going in for a cold drink after work, to have a dance with the cougars or even to watch a fights on the big screen or out in the Dosa the grand has you covered. It's almost a right of passage to have a night at this beautiful place and you will always been guaranteed a good time. Unless you be cheeky to security.

Great quick home style meals as well as all the pub favourites. Entertainment of some kind every night . Karaoke on Monday nights is my favourite

Visited for lunch on a Saturday. Food was good value. Had Hawaiian pizza which had a lot of toppings, but only gets 4 stars for having too much garlic. Next time I would ask for no garlic which they allow. Parking was easy - you can enter the carpark off the main road. The entry is just after the set of lights, then the hotel and the driveway entry is immediately after the main hotel.

Katie, the bartender, was the most fantastic thing that happened in my night! So polite and such excellent customer service! I’ve asked her to work for me, and she denied it! The best bartender I’ve met in the last year! The other young girl was terrific too! Young and so lovely! I’ll come back! Katieeeeeee, you are amazing!

Fantastic security guard. I'd like to give a shout out about how security guard 048 managed a number of situations on Feb 19th, 2023. He was extremely professional, calm, sensible and understanding when managing patrons who may have been a potential risk to themselves. He could teach major agencies a lot from his approach

They really need to get rid of that venue manger Sam. She’s super unprofessional and very unpleasant to be around Sticks her nose where it doesn’t need to be and seems like power has taken over her. Not a good look for the venue or owner to be having a 24 year old looking after a 30 year successful business and to be kicking out regular customers of 2.5 years. If I was the owner and I saw footage of my VM kicking good customers out for NO GOOD reason (proven on camera) I’d be furious and they would be replaced right away. Sam needs to go :/

LISA, working tonight at our dinner was awesome!! She was evidently quite run off her feet but handled it very well. It seems very easy to whinge about people these days, so i wanted make a point on congratulating someone for doing their job so well! Hope shes on next time we have dinner 🤙

Nice big venue, including a restaurant, a sports bar and pool tables. Plenty of room inside in the air conditioning, but on a day with a nice breeze it’s worth going outside to enjoy the breeze off the Broadwater. The food is good, a good range of drinks on tap or behind the bar and the cocktail specials never disappoint.

Kokonut Willy’s is a great place to eat. Food is 5 star. View is so relaxing. Josey our waitress was an excellent, so very friendly & attentive. Always smiling. We love it when she serves our table.

Love this place. Good place to eat, drink, play and stay. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. If you want the Gold Coast atmosphere without the chaos of surfers paradise this is the place to be. Spend the morning walking along the lagoon followed by lunch at "The Grand" then an evening of free pelican feeding and swimming before retiring to your room at "The Grand". Dinner will be waiting for you down stairs when ready!

Our favourite breakfast/brunch spot on the coast, never disappoints. Exceptionally friendly helpful staff, truly what you expect from the word 'hospitality'. On this occasion Irene and Dean were the standouts. And the food, coffee and cold drinks are great too! The Raspberry Splice smoothie is highly recommended. Good decor, location and view, an all round winner.

Love this pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff, meal was a bit d disappointing which was unusual as I've eaten here b4.i had corned Silverside and mash. Very dry and the mash was lumpy and reheated. 4 stars

Foods: The foods are in good portion size. It’s good but nothing special. 😊 Drinks: They have a variety of drinks to choose from and the bartenders and staff were all friendly.

Lovely atmosphere whether in the bistro or restuarant area. Service is friendly and efficient. Lots of parking available around the hotel area. Food is large portions whether a meal or a burger. Bookings advisable for restuarant on Saturday nights and those public holiday weekends. Not certain if it is accessible by wheelchair, as front entrance has stairs.
