A terrible dining experience sadly after attending a friends birthday celebration lunch on Sunday. Apart from the obviously clear staff shortage, even the recent refurbishments (which are pretty fabulous I might add) couldn’t detract from the fact there was no direction with where to go to order food. As a result people were milling about all the bar and entrance area. With a 40 min wait for mains (not a problem for a busy Sunday lunch trade), I ordered some bread and dips to start. They were basic enough and filled the spot - in hindsight, very glad I ordered this! When the main arrived (chicken burger), I was excited to eat and hungry. Presentation looked good enough for a pub feed… Upon the first bite I was hit by an extremely strong “fishy” taste and smell. I asked my friend if she could taste it “tastes like anchovies” I said. Upon her taking a bite, she screwed her face up, passed it back to me and agreed. I can only assume the oil hadn’t been changed and was used to cook all the proteins in the deep fryer. The chips were undercooked and had no salt/flavour at all. Inedible meal.

Renovated tavern with good quality service and bar staff. Food prices are excellent for a nice quick lunch. Food took a while to be prepared and delivered to our table. The food can be much improved especially the cheeseburger. The bun was old and the meat was burnt and unseasoned. The lettuce was not fresh and wilted. The cheese was good. Other dishes like the Buddha Bowl and Tofu Salad were good and acceptable for a pub that is looking to improve their offering. I recommend the Tavern for a nice cold beer and cheap food

Mad spot sick screens. New reno. Plenty of parks. Have to. register your car or cop a fine. No more uni students taking the parks

Naturally couldn't resist the invitation to post a more favourable review after considering management earlier response. Dropped by for a pint and a quick bite to eat on Sunday. Food tasty, beers cheap, staff not rude and pumped music not terrible. 1 of the managers told me to never come back but thought I'd take the risk. ..3 stars and evening the score!!

My family placed their order all together and we all received our orders 10 minutes apart l. I waited up to 40 minutes for a chicken snitzel that was over cooked, dark brown, dry and burnt. I advised the chef who swore at me saying ‘that’s not f’n burnt’. I advised him to have another look. My wife’s sweet potato chips tasted really greasy and like the oil was not clean, very dirty oily taste. The waitress was rude and looked like she didn’t want to be there. The rest of my family were disappointed with their meals. Another man at a table near by also complained as they waiting over 40 minutes for their drinks as you had to order them on the app and couldn’t buy your drinks from the bar (ridiculous). I went to this tavern to have a nice lunch with my family and have never been treated so rudely in my life. Extremely disappointed!!!

Visited the newly renovated Parkwood Tavern. It looks great. The service was great. We went for a birthday lunch with 9 people. We had a lovely person service by the name Stephanie she was very helpful as was all the other staff at served us. Nothing was too much to ask them for. The food was lovely and was quick to come out. Would love to come back and eat there again

Myself and a friend went to get dinner here tonight, I got myself a drink and my friend had left her ID at home so just ordered a coke (the bar staff that served us knew this). We sat down and ordered some food, half way though eating we were told we had to leave because my friend didn’t have her ID. We should have been told when we got there by the bar staff that served us, not when we were half way though our food. Disgusting service, letting people spend their money and then kicking them out. Do better.

NOT GOOD when you buy $80 worth of takeaway steak meals and they cant give you a simple takeaway knife fork and serviette. Any small takeaway shop (or pub) gives you that courtesy. Silly management. (I tried to use a couple of sticks but couldn’t cut the steak.)

Ordered Cesar Salad, would be the worst Cesar ever. No sauce very little lettuce, bacon in one piece and stale bread. Atmosphere good, staff friendly.

One word. Incredible. This place couldn’t get any better. I was met at my table with a friendly smile, effervescent mood and a bubbly personality. The staff here were clearly heavily trained here and could not make me feel more welcome. I asked for the name of this employee and she humbly told me her name was Emma. When I was served my food I was met by another man with incredible hospitality. His name tag read Dakota. I couldn’t be happier with the food. I can’t fathom how much better this tavern was compared to others, and I strongly recommend this location of your looking for a friendly environment with food just as good.

We came on a quiet night. Just your run of the mill pub with ok food. Brocollini came more than 50% burnt, and fish was a little dry and came drenched in oil and lemon. Food can be improved overall.

Dynamic venue featuring interesting decor, extensive menu, long list of beverage choices, in a welcoming modern atmosphere. Huge tv screens, coffee bar, poker machines, function rooms, bottle barn, and large indoor and outdoor dining areas. Great service, beautifully presented food, and don’t forget the dessert window.

Loved out meals. So delicious. Understaffed and the manager seemed to be off with the fairies. Played keno and had to constantly ask for the draw tickets for the prize contest they have going on as all 3 staff that served us on our visit kept forgetting to hand them out. The atmosphere of this place is much better and the renovations are really nice. Beer was cold. Food was delicious and hot. Lamb kofas for entre was so good I could lick the plate. The pokie room is in a completely different separate section which was strange and seemed out of place. We will return and see if the service improves.

The meals are big! We got two huge plates of these wings as the starter for $20, they were so good. We also got steak and chicken schnitzel mains which were also good.

Had dinner with my family on a Sunday night a few weeks ago and enjoyed it! We opted to sit inside..having the pool tables close by probably not the best idea with a toddler who wants to touch and play with everything 😂but it was a good distraction waiting for our food. The service was reasonably fast, we ordered three meals (Chicken Schnitty a kids meal and the Margherita Pizza) plus some drinks. I liked the little booth area and I enjoyed my snitty. Probably one of the best ones out there since the salad is actually edible not just placed on there to fill space like some places do. Kids enjoyed their food and the price point is better than most taverns I’ve been to. Kids meal is cheaper than some I’ve seen. The atmosphere is pretty lively with all the sports TVs around showing footy games etc so it def give a sports bar vibe. A good casual spot to have drinks and a bite to eat, I would come back for sure.

Met meddling daughter for lunch. Had a Schnitzel, actually very nice with herb flavour panky breadcrumbs. Beer cold, bar girls were nice. Will go again

Went there with friends for Aus Day. Always thought it was a bit of a dive. But WOW, what a difference, great layout, big screens for sport, central bar. But the two stand outs, 1) the food, great selection and not overcooked, fish and calamari done very well and 2) the staff, nothing was a problem very helpful and polite. Everyone was pleasant and cheerful. All added up to a great day for all of us. Thank you, Parkwood Tavern!!

I recently visited Parkwood Tavern, and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I had the steak sandwich with chips, and it was cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the price was reasonable. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with lots of TVs for sports fans. Overall, I highly recommend Parkwood Tavern for a great meal and good times with friends.

We held a moderate size function at Parkwood Tavern, from first booking to arriving at the function space everything was amazing and super easy to arrange. We arrived to tables covered in table cloths and napkins with balloons matching our colours. Parkwood Tavern was such a great space with privacy, efficient staff and great food and drinks! Every guest complimented the food we had ordered and was pleasantly surprised to have boxes to take the abundance of leftovers with them. I had dropped my cake (still in its box) in a moment of stress but they had the chef fix it for our guests to enjoy. Such a lifesaver! The male waiter? who helped our function was incredible, he was attentive and kind and we couldn’t praise him enough! He was on the ball with everything and always had a smile! Thank you so much! 😊

So much better since the renovations and I notice alot more people starting to come back. It was quite busy last night. Fast and friendly service. $65 platter was very underwhelming though. I could whip this up at home using frozen aldi packets. Was ok, just over priced.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Went for the peri peri chicken and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back.

The food was delicious but the noise was horrendous. Ask the staff a number of time to lower tge volume for the sports but to no avail. Staff otherwise quite good. Still had an awesome time with good friends just couldn't hear the conversation.

Quite a poor experience - besides the fact that I've had issues ordering off the app which doesn't happen as often as other ALH owned taverns, you then have to line up in the bar area to order (unlike other taverns where they have separate tills serving drinks vs food in order to speed things along), and the fact you have people asking to register their car number plates as per their new requirements just to be able to park on site, slows things down even more. Simply ordered 2 dishes, Graziers Rump 250g, and a Chicken Parmi. No mention of the long wait ahead to get our food as apparently there was a function with 80ppl despite the tavern being quite dead inside/outside. About 20min waiting went by and, nothing, so my wife goes up and asks at the bar, and gets informed shouldn't be much too longer as there's a function, another 20min elapses and I go up this time only for the food to be finally served with just a stale apology. As per the attached photo, the steak looked burnt and more than well done vs the original medium rare I asked for & the vegetables were dry. If we weren't that hungry and had more time I would've asked for a refund but it would be appreciated if you could tell people when they're ordering that there might be a long wait ahead as I'm sure like us, a percentage of their clientele come from needing to be at the hospital across the road. Last time we ever visit here - will gladly stick to Coomera or Oxenford Tavern from now on.

Actually really good. Manager Ben was awesome & very professional as well as the bar staff & the servers. The food was delicious apart from the chicken schnitzel. The buffalo wings was the best equal with the steak. SO TASTY. General atmosphere was very very good. We'll be visiting again soon.

The new renovation are fantastic. Steaks were awesome and Bailey is an absolute asset to your team, his customer service is A1 and so knowledgeable. Keep up the great work. Live music on the weekends would really ramp it up for this venue

The Parkwood Tavern is absolutely stunning! We have always loved this pub and now we are definitely making it a regular for date night 😍. We were treated to amazing service by the lovely Ella at the bar. Nothing was too much to ask! In the bistro Steph took such great care of us, she's brilliant! Food was delicious! The place was super busy but it was quick as. Definitely be back again. Thank you!

Lovely atmosphere. Typical pub meal slightly above average and decent price. The dessert took almost an hour to come out and that was only after we asked. Thanks to Ricky who was helpful and efficient to get it to us as soon as we approached him. Unfortunately the dessert was a bit of a downer and not worth the wait. The wait and the dessert is why this gets 3 stars.. Goods and Bad but was an ok experience

Ordered our meals at the same time via the QR code, however when the first main came it, there was a large wait for the other main to come out. The vegetables were also cold. We also ordered a garlic bread for starters, which actually came out as we had almost finished our main. For our first time coming here, we definitely weren’t impressed with our meals. Service however was lovely.

A wonderful, welcoming restaurant. My son is very I’ll in the GCU Hospital, and I have been here for dinner after long days. The staff remember me, down to the last detail of my dinner preferences; the fillet steak (blue) that I order is cooked to perfection; and the salad and jacket potato with sour cream could not be better. Thank you for being a comforting and delicious dinner venue ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

I come here every weekend almost! Every time is a lovely time but BRI, she’s an amazing worker, very nice and helpful! Probably one of the reason I’ll be back again! Super friendly! Food 10/10 once again!

Celebrated my mums birthday yesterday at Parkwood Tavern and have to say a massive thank you for your amazing hospitality and staff! Great prices, yummy food and even a few delicious cocktails were consumed with everyone having the best time. Thank you so much!
