Hubby and I went there Saturday 3rd September for lunch. We were so disappointed that I wrote to them via their website when we got home. It was so busy there, I didn't think anyone would really listen.... Haven't heard a word from them. You can see from the photo that the ribs weren't even the size of the blade on the knife. This is what I wrote, "Afternoon, My husband and I were just there for lunch and we were bitterly disappointed with his meal. We sat at table 26 and he ordered the 1/2 ribs and I ordered the shank. My shank was lovely, but the ribs were so small and skinny, with not much meat, and only 4 ribs for $30.00. Totally not worth it. This is the third chance we have given you. As locals, we want to support our local pubs and restaurants. The first time I had 11 family members there for a get together and I ordered the Bangers and Mash, only to be the last meal out and it looked like it had been thrown on the plate. No mashed potatoes only a few chips and barely any gravy. I sent it back saying I ordered bangers and mash. It took ages for the young waiter to come back only to tell me that there was no mash, but, would I like a potato!!!!! Oh dear, so I got a potato and mashed it myself. My sister-in-law ordered the shank and again no mash. Then I came with a party of 6 for a girlie get together and one of my friends ordered the Chicken Schnitzel, only to have the crumb almost burnt and the chicken partly raw. This has been all in the last few weeks. I took a photo of my husbands meal today after he finished and seriously it wasn't even worth $15. I don't like to complain but you will lose other clients if you don't lift your game. I am hesitant to come back or recommend your establishment again. Julie Hollis "

Great coconut prawns. Steak was cooked well and tasted delish. Chicken snitzel crumb was really well done and cooked perfect.

I wanted something light. Went for pumpkin and feta salad and side of chips. Wasn’t disappointed! I don’t like over complicated dishes and this hit the spot. Next time I will try their steaks. Staff were friendly and very helpful

I drive past this place every few days but had never been in. A friend suggested we go for lunch. It was very good. I had steak which was perfectly cooked and my friend had bangers and mash. We both enjoyed our meals a lot. Service was efficient and very friendly. Prices reasonable. Will definitely be back.

We celebrated our daughters 21st at the tavern today. We can't praise the staff highly enough for their amazing service. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and enjoyed by all. Special thanks to managers Mark and Liv for their attention to detail and assistance to help make the day so enjoyable for all. I highly recommend the tavern for your next function

Wow 🤩 I just orders the Fillet steak OMG to die for!!! Well done to the chef cooked to perfection medium rare rested well just amazing!!! Staff are all amazing too so friendly! I’ve just moved to the area and this is now my location I love a beer and good steak so this place is definitely for me!!! If your visiting or live in Robina give them a try truly good food and cold beer 🍺 I’ve been to the best restaurants around the world when we could travel of course and this steak is up there with the best!!

Turned up with a table of 20 and Adam and the staff were really accomodating. Food was delicious and everyone had an enjoyable night, 5 stars, will definitely be returning.

Thoroughly enjoy attending here however the food has really let me down lately. 3rd time ordering the ribs and the so called Mac n Cheese served with the dish is such a let down every time. It's just cream with pasta. $42 on a dish a pub should be from a high standard.

Worst Gaming machines ever ! Not one feature or free spins with 300 in on 3 machines. Barely hearing features on other machines in a packed room, rigged at its finest. Woman huffed and puffed when serving because 2 people were waiting like she had something or somewhere else to be 🤣 LOVE you are in Customer Service ! Will not be returning after my first visit.

Wonderful customer service, lovely atmosphere and delicious wood fired pizzas. I booked for a family dinner to celebrate a family birthday, and as we were travelling from interstate wanted to make it a little bit special, so when I made my booking I added a request, ‘when we order dessert if at all possible could you please write happy birthday on a plate’. Thinking perhaps they could write it with some chocolate. Was beautifully surprised when we arrived to see the lovely staff had organised for some helium balloons at our table, and have to also make a special mention to staff member Mel, who went even further by serving up the cake with candles, so we could sing and celebrate the milestone completely. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Been to Dog and Parrot many times . Good food plenty of parking family friendly. No stairs or steps to worry about. Grandchildren love the play area. A great place to meat up have dinner lunch and they also have have gluten free.

Lovely service staff with average atmosphere Food was below average, ordered lamb shanks with mash and brocolinni but instead received soup with mash somewhere underneath and one stem of brocollini. It literally came with a soup spoon, it was slop. Offered a refund by the lovely girl at front of house which was not accepted. Simply the chef needs to do better

The food quality is always amazing, with a fantastic gluten free selection. The customer service is first rate, with dinner if the friendliest staff.

We 3 old bangers dropped in to try the Seniors options. 2 x Fish & Chips, 1 x Spaghetti & Meatballs; all great fare. Our young American (?) hostess, Riley, was polite and attentive, without being intrusive. Plenty of Parking and a quick turnaround with our order. Having said this, it was Friday afternoon; it might possibly be a different situation on weekends and Friday nights. We'll be back!!

Not a fan - the food was very over priced and not great at all. We waited for a long time to order in a single lined queue and then the meals that came out were not cooked well, sub-standard and over priced. We were offered vouchers for our experience but I doubt we will return to use these as it was overall a terrible dining experience for us as a family

The kids area is great, but in my opinion food is terrible and overpriced. We have been going there since it opened some 20 years ago and while it has never been great, our experience on the weekend was horrendous. Out of the 10 meals we ordered, two was returned, one for a refund and one to be recooked, 6 were inedible and couldn't be finished and the other two were ok. I would recommend the team there completely relook at what they are doing and think about how they could be charging the prices they do for the quality of meals being served. Meanwhile we as a local family will never pay for a meal there again.

Went out for dinner on a Saturday night was greeted by friendly staff and sat in a booth near the bar. There's TVs in the restaurant which is great because the footy was on! Food was excellent, especially the eye fillet steak. Ribs were juicy and BBQ sauce made it 🤤. Pokies and sports bar section for after dinner treats. Great atmosphere and lovely staff!

Went there for my grandson 19th birthday. Service was excellent, Manager on duty was excellent helping us with the celebration and cake. Food was delicious would highly recommend

I want to send a shout out to the team and management at this venue on Saturday night! The staff in all areas were amazing, super friendly, helpful, fun, engaging and all seemed happy to be there. It is really refreshing to go somewhere and get fantastic service with a smile. Keep it up we will be back :)

This is the best Tavern we've ever been to. There where 20 meals ordered & when served the lot came out within approx 6 minutes. Very lovely kind, friendly & efficient staff. The meals where absolutely delicious. Thank you too the chef & staff. 🙂

Birthday group of about 40-50 family members. Food very slow to come out. Staff confused orders, couldn't remember who ordered what? Should've put a name to an order! Meals were satisfactory. Brilliant rendition of happy birthday sung by staff member-thank you very much for that.

Had a wonderful lunch today at the Dog and Parrot. It was so easy ordering from my phone at the table. I didn't have to leave my chair to get food and drinks delivered to me. The drinks were spectacular, food was delicious. Service from Paris and Alyne could not have been better. Every single worker had a smile on their face and are always happy to help out! Thank you Dog and Parrot, we will be back!

Good local joint. Really improved over recent years. Oysters were very fresh and steak cooked exactly as requested. Cocktails were mixed well. Like the venue layout, family and kids were all in a separate area to the people dining in small groups. Stress free lunch, Will certainly be back.

Steak was cooked perfectly, Dianne sauce was amazing, mashed potato taste nice but portion size was not great. Presentation could have been a little better otherwise was a nice meal.

I ate here on Sunday at lunch time. Ordered chips waited 30minutes before asking. They said there was a function on so we waited again. We asked again but nobody said or did anything. Eventually the chips arrived and nobody apologized. Just disappointed as this was the second time I’ve been here and this has happened.

The staff is friendly the beer is cold, food is up there and the sports bar is pretty awesome plus I love the free shuttle to CBUS!

Salt and pepper squid was nice and crispy also very tender. The beef roll was nice just the meat was tough and in large pieces, that made it hard to eat. But over all was delicious. The gravy was very bland and watery. Sports bar area is beautiful. Staff are lovely.
