Been here a few times over the last few months and enjoyed the experience. Not as spacious as some other pubs around, but a nice environment with friendly staff. A good food menu with happy hour drink prices including all Saturday afternoon. Also has pub trivia mid week.

Last Thursday we ventured into your hotel for a meal and trivia First the bar staff had no knowledge of there stock ordering no alcoholic beverages, no we don’t have any with that a male staff member came back and handed me one then asked for glass of Pino Grigio and was told we have sav Blanc on tap !!!. Now the food my wife ordered nachos and received a bowl of corn chips with a small Dob of sour cream and thin slice of avocado. Disgusting she took it back to kitchen and the cook showed no interest at all said go and take it to the bar with no response at all , then we had ordered crumbed chicken snitz so thick and dry no taste at all Then the screeching voice of the trivia lady started blew our eardrums apart All in all I give this one star thats for location We are a fourth generation Gold Coast family we know the good from the bad and that experience was the worst I have had for a long time It would not be a place I would venture into again Gary Archer

Came here for schnitzel night. Ordered a plain schnitzel and a parmy. Came out fairly quickly which was nice however the Palmy was still cold in the middle. Sent it back and got a Hawaiian in return!!!!! Perhaps focus on quality not quantity.

Haven't been here for year's, and wasn't sure if it was still here due to covid. As this are is kinda out of the way area, except for people who.live or work right here in this direct area. Well walk in and it looks still clean and fresh. Like most places nowadays , you can order your food and drinks.from the table you sit at, so I did. You could also order from the bar as well surprisingly as people were. Ordered the cheapest Steak meal.for lunch, with a side of "Surf" for Surf n Turf (Steak with Seafood) and it was really well.put together. The 'surf cane in a separate bowl with about 4-5 prawns and 3-4 Calamari in a creamy seafood sauce and it was delish. The Steak was a 250gm cooked medium rare with a Garden salad and a choice of Mash or Chips. The steak was good. ( Note: this steak is only 20$ where most are over 30$) Cooked how I wanted it, medium rare, substantial garden salad with side of chips and Mushroom Gravy. Not too big and not too small. The surf part was an extra 8$. So for just under 30$, this was a great choice. The staff seemed nice and you can sit inside or outside. Parking nearby. A big thumbs 👍

DO NOT GO HERE...so tonight me and my best friend walk in we spend 400.00 in the pokies, then we order a pizza and a calamari entrees. And we where told there would be a 40 Min wait. When we question out waitress about the food 1 and half hours later because our food still had nt arrived we asked where it was asked for a free drink we got given a free drink we got given a free drink card. When I went to the bar to derdeem vouchers we where cut off. We had only had 2 drinks. So asked for my money back and we where asked to leave because I was asked to leave ,,,, why ? ...q

We don't usually hit up the local pub but glad we did. The food is reasonably priced and came out quick, hot, and good portions. The pizzas had a good amount of toppings and my steak had good flavour. We will be back!

Love the food and the drinks, manager Sarah is a hardworking, customer focused manager. always looks after us every single time we come in and is a great asset to your team. Love her and love this venue ❤️❤️

Had a function at the Hotel CBD and it was great. Staff were fabulous and the food supplied was good quality. The venue was a good size and offered a stage and separate bar. Highly recommend for a party or other event.

Excellent Bistro food, prompt, friendly service, 2 for 1 deal is exceptional value.

Stood at the food stand for like 10 mins and watched the manager and other staff members serve the other bar whilst constantly looking at me. It's usually a good atmosphere but tonight was an exception. Im hoping for a better experience next time

Food was cold and when you asked a server she chose to ignore it after I told her and continue to keep working, the chefs had all of the chicken pre cooked sitting on display for everyone to see. Absolutely disgusting, may as well get a heat up dinner from Coles

Food was good, and the live music was good, but management needs to do some basic staff training. Several staff were very polite, helpful and friendly, but the heavily made-up blonde bartender, was almost comically, confrontational and rude to several members of our group on different occasions.

Great place to catch up for a nice lunch. The club sandwich and salmon bowl are amazing! Service is quick and staff are polite and accomidating highly recommend.

Weekly deals are great. Burgers and shnitties are always a go too! And the salmon bowl is delish! Nice relaxed vibe. Clean.

Awesome local hidden gems! Recommended by a friend about Sunday early bird dinner special, came here just before 5pm and airway people are lining up, ready to order. Very good quality food good even with special price, didn’t compromise with portion either. Friendly staffs working hard serving people, clearing tables and bringing hot food to tables. The Sunday at 5pm half price is a massive bargain. We had some steaks that were perfectly cooked, and we did not have to wait an hour for our food. What a nice change. Good food with good friendly service... who would have known! Loved it.

Ordered the steak medium, and it came out rare. I'd suggest ordering medium/well. However, when we returned it, they came back with a whole new meal. We rolled out of there, so full. Lovely place to catch up. Apart from that, I had a great night. Good atmosphere, great meal deals as well.

Good service, however if you order with the QR code, you will not receive cutlery. Food is good but increasingly pricey. Good atmosphere in general.

We went early for Sunday lunch before the rush. Very good food at sensible prices. Has sports bar, lounge area , Pokies and outside deck dinning. Also separate outside deck smoking area on the opposite side on the building. Sundays are family kids day. Check for specials.

I have been here a number of times now and quite enjoyed my experiences. However a stand out is the staff member Sarah who went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was perfect. Thanks Sarah! I highly recommend the lunch special club sandwich btw.

2nd June 2023 Friday night and felt like a drink and quality food at reasonable price Deb enjoyed fish and chips and l had a sirloin w chips n salad Fantastic meal for $42 for us both The night only got better with the lovely Sarah looking after us Thanks guys 💋💋💋 29th March 2023 The Wednesday night special offer was for sirloin steak with chips and salad with a wine or beer for $22 per head SHUT THE FRONT DOOR !! Deb and l agreed that they were 2 of the best steaks we had have in months and months The chips were cooked thru in clean oil and the salad on the plate was a good size with fresh ingredients and a nice dressing PLEASE DON’T BELIEVE ME We don’t want this place booked out It was also so nice to walk in and Sarah greeting us and remember our names Mikey and Lucia were behind the bar and they make it such a pleasant experience What a difference it makes when your served with a smile and you go back for another drink and they remember your order Thanks Ladies - shame we lost on the pokies but a Lady won a $14,000 jackpot while we were there - congratulations ! We almost didn’t go to the CBD Hotel because when l rang to book a table - “Mike the Manager”was so rude on the phone - Mike u manage a pub not the world - check ur ego and learn some manners ! Friday night is 2 for 1 meals Some place cut corners and serve slop when they offer half price meals - I am delighted to say - not at the CBD I had a deliciously tender 300 gram sirloin steak with fresh vegetables - not frozen with a scrumptious mushroom sauce My guest enjoyed the slow cooked beef Our food was cooked and served in good time and under $40 for us both was fantastic The young fellow singing and playing guitar was outstanding - you would pay money to listen to him The staff, besides for “Mike the Magnificent Manager “ ( rude tosser ) were fantastic ! Mikey and Lucia behind the bar were fun and happy ladies and enjoyed looking after their customers with humour and a smile Our best experience was meeting Sarah who was so helpful with the menu, taking our orders and then helping my guest to get a bet on a horse with the TAB SARAH you should be managing the joint as you have a great attitude and know what customer service means We will return for more great food and fun service and hopefully Sarah will be the new manager by then Thanks Ladies and to your chef Regards Jason

Exceptional meals, service and price !! Kids meals were huge and great. Normal meals, perfect. Easy location so not over crowded. Thanks again we will be a regular !!

Went for lunch. Chicken club sandwich. Huge serve. I couldn't finish it. End up taking half home. Very good value . Clean and nice Deco.

Table of seven. Order all at once, 4 pizzas, two mains and a kids meal. Were waiting on two pizza, other meals were finished and dessert had been ordered. Even though we chased up the pizza before dessert had been ordered the dessert was ready first. The only positive was the pizzas were half price due to early bird order... but still waiting an hour and a half for very mediocre greasy pizzas was not worth it. Should have got the refund and got maccas on way home

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner, the food was great but went to get a glass of red wine and the only had 2 wines on their so called happy hour which was on tap wines, a rose and a sav blanc, which the picture shows a red wine and a beer, anyways I paid full price for my wine, not happy about their happy hour.

Look, you can't go past the Club Sandwich from CBD.. only 16$ with chips...and they have a 16$ lunch menu I want to work through eventually.. great place to put on some KENO and eat... staff are courteous and quick... you'd be bonkers if you didn't give joint at least one try...

I am a local and it used to be good here but came in for lunch mid week and most staff were just standing around not doing much. Customer service was average and the Long Island Iced Tea's are always made with flat coke. Need to bring back happy hour cocktails between 4pm - 6pm ocassionally. Cheers

Restaurant is downwind of smoking area…. It always smells of smoke while you eat. Urinal in mens is fowl. Used to be awesome but constant staff turnover and a menu that hasn’t changed in an age is getting really old. Its the local for so many and I hope it sorts it self soon 🙏🏼

Been coming here for a couple of years now and it is one of the best value for money Hotels on the coast.. Now we have some new Chefs and the food was great...Friendly staff with happy smiles to assist us. Clean and tidy tavern and the best lunchtime meals on the coast that i have experienced.... portions are inconsistent, how can they serve one single tiny chicken tender and call it a mini shnitzel... not much of a kids meal . super unhappy that i had to come home and cook up more food because we were left unsatisfied and still hungry.

Today i had a steak, which was super, Aussie female chef done an amazing job made exactly to my order steak was tender and juicy, all my guests throughly enjoyed their meal, will be a weekly regular to the pub for a fabulous steak. Icy cold beers on tap well priced, extremely satisfied with the service provided.

Love the Thursday night quiz nights! The food is so good for the price and the staff are very friendly. The TV screens broadcasting the sport are great to enjoy the rugby with your meal. Quiz night is a great atmosphere too and the girl running it is so helpful and enthusiastic and makes it so enjoyable to come to!

Came for dinner on Saturday night, absolutely delicious food had the Lamb Rump cooked to perfection and a CBD Meat lovers pizza. The food was delicious. Service was incredible within the gaming room, got offered complimentary tea and coffee and more food while playing machines.... certainly worth the visit. Will be visiting again. Thank you
