Dined here with the family over the weekend and was pleasantly impressed. Beautiful atmosphere sitting outside by the water, friendly staff and HUGE tasty, meals. The serving sizes were enormous, from the nachos, to the burgers, to the fish and chips. Everyone left incredibly full. I ordered the marinated lamb cutlets off the starters menu and it was the perfect size for me, with three cutlets and a small rocket and parmesan salad. My only criticism would be that the lamb was overcooked. There was no pink left in the meat at all, but it was still juicy, tender and delicious, so it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. Outdoor tables are a little squished in (people from neighbouring tables constantly hitting each other as the push their chairs back to get up), but you can understand that they're trying to give as many people access to the waterfront view as possible. Overall, would definitely visit again!

Highly recommend for dinner service. Went for my mums birthday and food was incredible and tasted amazing. All staff were extremely accomodating and lovely. We brought a cake that they kindly put in their fridge for us. The service to the table was a tad slow but they were super busy so completely understandable. Will be recommending to anyone and everyone and will definitely be going back!

We love here! Every time came here, staff are so friendly and working passionately, food are good, had tried pizza, hamburgers, fish n chips, and garlic prawns, all good

We were seated by the water, which was absolutely perfect. Table service from start to finish and very prompt to take the order. A little bit slow to check up on us after eating, so we had to call someone over. The food was delicious and great serving sizes! Reasonable prices, too. My husband said the nachos were some of the best he's had from a tavern. My burger with added halloumi was perfect. We will be back!

From the moment we walked in we received excellent service -from offering to seat us by the water rather than our allocated table, to taking our orders & serving our food. The food was outstanding! Both the Barramundi & Salmon were perfectly cooked & actually arrived at our table piping hot & fresh. Then the "piece de resistance" was the sticky date pudding dessert! It was one if not the best we have ever tasted & again it arrived hot & fresh! Will definitely be back & can highly recommend!

Well I can say how fantastic this place is the food was amazing the staff were professional and great the cocktails were on point not full of ice the pricing for the food and drinks was amazing also it's one of the best places on the gc I have tryed highly highly recommend 🥰

A big thank you to Krista, Kim, Michael and all the staff at Boardwalk Tavern. The staff went above and beyond for my partner and I for our gender reveal event and we couldn’t fault their service.They helped made our day special. The communication was very good, they were efficient with food and drinks, the food platters were great and they consistently checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed. Great support and great value for money. They had a wet weather option. We were able to borrow a few items like their easel and cake stand. I would recommend having a function at the Boardwalk Tavern. Customer service was outstanding.

Nice Tavern with typical pub food. Beautiful location with water views. Bar staff is friendly but everything can be ordered through QR code. Seems to be popular for lunch. Second time here and will return.

I arranged a get together before Christmas for previous work colleagues. They were coming from Brisbane and the southern Gold Coast, so the Boardwalk Tavern was an ideal location. Looking out over the water relaxing out on the deck on a sunny day was just perfect. Everyone really enjoyed their meals - a good variety of food choices. One of the group had received rave recommendations from friends on the seafood pie - they said it was absolutely delicious! We all had a great time and the staff were both very attentive and helpful. I can't wait to arrange other get togethers for the group there and definitely recommend the Boardwalk Tavern - you will enjoy!

I booked a table for 9 people, including 4 children. Service was very good. Table was excellent as requested outside with a nice view of the water. Table service was prompt, friendly and efficient, and we were given the option to split the bill and pay as we go, which was great! Our food order came in a reasonable time frame considering how busy they were. All our meals were well presented and enjoyed by all ages. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Had a great steak sandwich here on Australia Day - Would definitely recommend this off the menu 😊 Top service. Awesome view and atmosphere along with a $7.50 glass of Adelaide sparkling helped us cope with the heat today ☀️

We found the lady in the brown shirt (possibly the manager?) pretty rude to be honest. She interacted with us when we first arrived and then again upon clearing our table and both times she came across as blunt and grumpy. It was a special birthday for me and it really put a damper on the start of lunch. Our meals were good - we both had calamari and my daughter had a cheese burger. The garlic bread was burnt however. We had a share jug to drink which was delicious! The other staff were wonderful and we loved the view of the water however I don’t think I’d go back, there are plenty of other places who would welcome us with a smile.

Lovely dining looking out over the water.. I would recommend outside maybe ask for the heater to go on in winter .. I've also in the past dined inside n wasn't a fan of that very noisy n we had a table next the the kitchen.

Lovely marina view. Only issue I had worth the seafood pie was that I couldn’t find any prawns and would have preferred big prices of seafood. Lovely tho, great flavour. Amazing staff. Decent prices! ❤️

A few friends and I had a ladies get together . Food was beautiful, the whole atmosphere out on the back deck area was relaxing with the fairy lights. View is spectacular and the service is always great! A cheeky little gamble on the pokies certainly made the night just that bit better. Will go back again, for sure!!

Nice, cosy venue. Lots of tables & seating. Good, big choice on menu. Would be even better if they brought back some live bands Saturday nights or Sunday afternoon. Very pleasant sitting on the deck when not windy.

Recently went there for a midweek get together First time had a meal there Very happy with the service Nice and friendly Very happy with the food I ordered mixed dips, pork chop and baked cheesecake and sticky date pudding. Yummmm Good portion and delicious Certainly going back for many more get together Cheers!!

The venue was perfect to accommodate the Melbourne Cup celebrations. The service and food was faultless. Six of us has a great time and will be back next year!

We had our team dinner here and location is beautiful looking over the harbour. Staff were lovely! On arrival we were told there might be a wait on the food, however food was delivered within 20 minutes - delicious and hot. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We chose to eat here for a special family dinner based on the exceptional ratings. We found it pretty average to be honest. Meals were small, for the price. Nachos were burnt. Staff were having a lovely time chatting to each other but became robotic when interacting with us. Plenty of staff on but they weren’t quick to notice our empty glasses… fortunately the QR code meant we could order our own. Our teenage (19) daughters ordered cocktails but weren’t asked for ID which surprised us. A staff member did come over to ask to see them 10 minutes after the drinks had arrived. The best staff member we encountered was a young lady on one of her first shifts… Maddie… who was friendly and bubbly.

Fantastic atmosphere, plenty of parking and friendly service. There's a few things though that could be improved though. The area is very clearly geared towards a certain audience, and prices are very much reflective of that. The chicken curry I had was nice enough, though it taste a bit like the Marion's Kitchen curry box from the Coles across the road. The same with the prawn and crab linguine - it just wasn't amazing enough to pay $38 for. All said though it was a pleasant experience, but I'm dropping a star because the server took my drink before I had finished.

Beautiful lunch and location, the table service from all of the ladies was brilliant! Our Daughter was excited to have a small steak and chips as a choice for a kids meal but it was so over cooked and tough as leather and we doubt freshly cooked which was disappointing. Other than that our meals were nice and the staff super friendly and so helpful.

So happy we picked that Tavern for our birthday dinner. Water view, delicious food, great atmosphere and of course very friendly staff. Everything was wonderful 😊

Easy parking as it’s next to a coles and easy to find. The views are spectacular with the boats The bathrooms were all nice and clean The food was very much simple pub food but it was done well and easy to order from the tables. The wait times were crazy when we came in but died down as the evening progressed. Price wise - a little exxy for what you got but not surprised with the venue size and location. We got the schnitzels, chicken pizza, beef pie and they were all excellent. Would go back.

There for a birthday party of 22 people - from beginning to end the staff could not have been more helpful! The young girls that attended to our party were courteous, helpful and so willing to make this day a success! The food was amazing and thank you chef for getting the food out all together - great job! I had a vegan option which was delicious, others had the seafood pot pie which was a hit (should have taken photos) As the organiser of this event I want to say - Thank you very much! This place is spacious, relaxing and comfortable - definitely a thought for your next catch up or party! Lovely view for a Sunday sesh!!

We enjoyed the evening immensely, only concern our drinks were not cold enough, remedied with an ice bucket solution. Only other thing was air con could have been a little colder, but understand having to cater to all. Overall great experience. Staff super attentive and quick. Food is top notch!!

A great night as always, but so very impressed with the staff, who truly go above and beyond the call. We had a birthday at the table, and asked for a few extra things, and the staff were incredible. It was State of Origin night, the place was packed to the rafters, and yet the young and energetic staff happily and willingly went the extra mile for us. Food was fantastic, absolute melt in the mouth calamari entree, simply spectacular!

Had a good meal here in a nice relaxing setting to celebrate a family members birthday. The meals were a very generous size (some were too big - the parmigiana!). Our waiter was excellent (sorry I can't remember his name). He was attentive (but not overbearing) and nothing was too much hassle for him (candle in dessert, he even sang Happy Birthday, extra water).

Great service by the young staff members. Just a tad disappointed about the oysters Kilpatrick... For me they should be made with real bacon thinly sliced not ham or cheaper version bacon diced up. Considering the price could have been better. Other than that the rest of our food came very fast and hot..Thank you

Our family of four had lunch here on Sunday and we could not have asked for a better experience. From the fast table service, friendly, attentive and accommodating staff and also the meals were all exceptional. We have dined here quite a few times and every time it has been wonderful.

Fantastic service every time we have been, the food is great and a very large selection from Curry to steak pie, kids meals are reasonably priced and great portion sizes too, cocktails are lovely and the views are Amazing!!

Was our first family dinner out in a few yrs. Have been here a few times, great atmosphere with different areas and options, sports, dining in or outside on the deck over looking the water... kids meals are huge, bread & dip platter yum but needs more variety for the price. The crispy chicken & vegetarian pizza were delicious. Great family spot, mates or even a date night.

Booked online and had to change. No issue with staff all done effortlessly. On arrival checked in easily went to our preferred table which had ample seating. From start to finish from kitchen to table was enjoyable. Food was above average and staff checked mid way through as to food standards. Great tavern and will be back. Will recommend and have done with others.
