Our table of 5 didn’t enjoy their food. Meet for drinks here but don’t get sucked into buying their food. It’s really the worst I’ve eaten in a pub for many years. But the drinks are great and the atmosphere wonderful but they need to get new caterers in the kitchen

Fantastic venue. Great location. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere in the beer garden. Steak sandwich was very good. Bun toasted and chips crisp. Sirloin tender and well cooked. You can see why this place is so well loved. Well done.

Pretty good pub with lots of different sections, including a live music area and outdoor area. Good selection of beers and wine. Food is the normal pub fare. Reasonably priced.

When ordering I was served by rude staff who clearly didn’t want to be there, I was interrupted with “pay now” before I finished my order as they just wanted to hurry and leave. When ordering my drinks the server didn’t even talk to ask me what I wanted they just stood there and also didn’t look like they wanted to be there (this was on a teusday, so it wasn’t that busy). Meals came out very quickly but I paid $19 for three tiny spring rolls which tasted below average. When mains arrived both mine and my friends chips were stone cold and my fish was burnt and tasted gross. My friend got the southern grilled chicken burger and it cost $25 she said it was one of the worst burgers she has ever gotten the chicken had no flavour and if it wasn’t for the pineapple on the burger she wouldn’t of eaten it at all, she also got the pineapple lime and coconut margarita and it was foul she couldn’t even drink it lucky she got coke (that she could drink) Overall wouldn’t recommend, meals cold and service unfriendly

Not sure if this is a restaurant or Tyre shop. The chicken schnitzel wasn't edible it was that rubbery, service was rude and below par. Made a reservation but no one actually knew where it was. Very disappointed, such a good location, but so far below par.

We went there for lunch and had across the table steak, Thai spring rolls, parmi, chicken, pizza and salt and pepper calamari. All of it was delicious and the service excellent and happy. We all got good vibes though those who had the scrumptious cocktails maybe got more than the rest of us.

Good atmosphere Pub in centre of Kingscliff. Booked ahead & got a table where requested. Staff were exceptionally helpful including the food & bar staff. Apparently a new Manager & the place seems to buzz. All meals were a good size & quality for the money. I had the Salt & Pepper Calamari which was tender and a large serve. My friends Steak was apparently cooked as requested & very tender. My wifes Salmon Salad was perfect & a good mix. Pizza was large & we were able to get a takeaway box, which was a bonus. Good range of Tap beers. Food & drinks can be ordered from the bar. Food is brought to table when ready. Can definitely recommend this place, we will certainly be back again.

Second visit in 2 weeks. Both experiences pretty ordinary. Meals arrived with no cutlery. Asked make waiter “you have to get them where you ordered” . Only a handful of people in all of dining area . Can’t go extra mile for patrons to grab some cutlery after all meals delivered? Second visit today - the dips $16 was a joke - really. Totally embarrassed with friends. I tablespoon each of guacamole dip and salsa - very poor serving with greasy and tasteless sort of corn chips. The interaction with waitress taking food and drink orders - pretty dismal. Not friendly at all and I forgot the cutlery again and no offer to grab it for you once meals delivered. I find that pretty poor. Lift your game guys it’s not that hard! Or remind non-regulars that you need to collect your own cutlery on ordering ? Also on a brighter note - pizza was delicious.

My partner and I came here on Saturday night to see a new band called Raw Ordio. We thought it was important to support the venue by eating there and having a few drinks. The band was great, but unfortunately the food was so bad that it made me violently ill. At the time, I didn’t want to spoil the night by making a fuss, even though I had never seen such a small sliver of steak on a steak burger before, particularly a $25 one, and it was presented in a sloppy, unfinished kind of way. Deciding not to cause a scene, nevertheless I ate it. Within an hour, I felt unwell and we needed to leave. The next day, after spending most of the night vomiting, the manager dismissed me when I told him that the steak burger was presented in an awful state, tasted terrible, and then had made me extremely unwell. We were able to identify that it was only the steak burger that had made me sick because it was the only food all day, that my partner had not eaten. We had shared everything else. The manager didn’t care to acknowledge how sick his food had made me, how badly it was presented nor how awful it tasted. He had no desire to refund me even the amount for the steak burger, even though it had made me so sick. He promised he would investigate and contact me the next day before we left at 10 o’clock, but he did not. We ordered chicken wings, ($18) a cheeseburger ($24) and a steak burger ($25) The wings were quite good, the cheeseburger reasonable, and the steak burger was barely edible. My biggest concern was that the manager seemed to not care at all how his food was presented or how it had affected a customer. We will not return.

Amazing waterfront location. Most of the other bars and or restaurants in this town are very small with limited opening hours ...not here! During the off peak times it's a great place to sit for private quiet meetings or just a catch up whilst u watch a game and or have a drink and meal. Huge place with comfy lounge chairs, outdoor eating areas. Self service and table served foods and drinks and packed on weekends with live music and a huge stage for entertainment in the beer garden.

Was surprised how great this place was. Food was great, had plenty of beer options on tap, stunning location. Helpful that the camp site is across the road.

Parking at the back was ok but only one disabled car space and the delivery truck was parked in front of it, that needs to be sorted out. Easy access to the door with flat walking and a ramp, flat inside. Great food, came in a good time and was hot, good servings and very helpful friendly staff. Great amount of seats inside and outside, very clean and good decor, enjoy.

This hotel is so lovely. The atmosphere was pumping and such a nice set up. Staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. We had one error with our order and the staff were so wonderful about rectifying the situation and getting the food out asap. One of the best steaks (Sirloin) I’ve had. Loved the fish tacos for an entree!!

Although the seating and atmosphere were spacious with natural light, the food was over priced for the quality. You order yourself at the counter and need to get your own water from the tap, but have to wait for them to bring you a glass. The garlic bread was really good, and the salmon was decent, just over priced.

Great vibes in this pub, all the meals were delicious and good sized servings. It was busy but the meals were still served quickly.

The staff are all friendly and efficient. It's a nice venue and very spacious. The live music is great but can be very, very loud in the afternoon, which makes conversation and ordering drinks difficult because the bar staff have trouble hearing sometimes. We went tonight, Monday night , and it was quiet, both noise and patron wise. Table of 12 and our food came out reasonably quickly, and altogether within reason. I had the Monday special chilli mussels as this is one of my favourite meals when eating out, and to find them on as a special, even better. Unfortunately, they weren't great. Mostly overcooked, shrivelled, and tough. Some weren't, which is quite strange. The sauce was like tomato puree slightly watered down, and there was the faintest of chilli. There was an abundance of delicious capsicum and red onion, and the 2 pieces of flatbread were deliciously crispy. The fresh, crusted barra main was nice. The crust was crispy, but the barra was soft and overcooked. It was overpriced for the size of the portion. The gluten free brisket burger was reportedly delicious, and the other mains were good, but nothing special.

Had a shocking experience for lunch we had booked in with a larger table and made sure that all meals were ordered as one. We were waiting on our meals for what would have been a normal amount of time when the first plate was brought out and that was all we then watched as people who had arrived and ordered after us were served, one from out group went to ask about it and was told that they decided to serve the others first due to our table being bigger than their when pointed out that one of our meals had been brought out the tried to say that it was normal. Finally our meals arrived but all that had ordered the special bangers and mash were returned as the sausages were as tough as old boots and the mash was stone cold, in total the meal was inedible, we did receive a refund for those meals but honestly it was not good enough. Others had meals where their chips were cold or the meat was cut in a way that it was chewy but just edible. In all the experience was shocking and I'm not one to normal complain.

Loved our dinner here, service was a little slow but atmosphere and food made up for it. Great little section out the front where we could eat with our dog. It was perfect.

The Kingscliff Beach Hotel looks appealing and is situated close to the beach but there isn't a view. The food is your typical pub fare. But all the staff that we encountered have all been sucking lemons. One staff member slapped a reserve sign onto our table between my wife and I were we intended to place our food when it arrived and the booking wasn't for another two hours...she could've waited. The place looks inviting but it's only a facade.

We ate here today and the place was absolutely packed for lunch. We ordered four meals and everything at our table was amazing! We all enjoyed our meals and the service. The meals were at our table in around 20 minutes even with the place so full of people. We would definitely recommend.

We came on a Sunday, the atmosphere was wonderful, loads of people and live music. All though the musician was a little loud he was very easy to listen too. I ate the pick of the meals with a schnitzel at veg. Unfortunately the others at my table were not so fortunate. The grilled fish had an amazing sauce but was over cooked. The biggest disappointment of the meal had to be the chips. All chips on every plate were stale and cold, sadly inedible. The table service and customer service was wonderful, even though they did forget my coffee at one stage on our drink order.

Great Bistro and Bar. Prices are reasonable and on par with most places. The food was good. Was at the beach hotel on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was fairly busy. Had live music, and that was great. Being busy on Saturday, maybe look at booking a table. Would definitely return.

Have been going here for years and always had a great time and the food was good. Things have really changed. Our table ordered 10 meals. All of them were terrible, so disappointed. Our plates were left on our table for 2hrs before anyone even started to clear them. I raised the food and service issue with the manager who was rude and dismissive. Such a shame that a once great venue has gone downhill so much, I hope the Bowls club and Surf club can pickup the slack because they’ll be getting a lot of new patronage.

We visited the Kingscliff beach but too cold when we go there and already late afternoon. But the beach is clean and the view is peaceful and beautiful.

We are from Port Macquarie and this restaurant catches our attention, because of it beautiful location. We had ¹Cheese Burger and my wife had ¹chicken Ceasar Salad. The burger patty was average because it's a bit dry and lettuce was not in its best. Salad was amazing my wife loved it.

One of the most disappointing meals we have ever had! Attempted to contact the pub phone and email, afterwards and not any reply what so ever, not even a "thanks for letting us know" blow off.... For a place previously recommended to us (have told those guys of our experience...) and what the price of meals were. Disappointing! There were 8 of us and not one finished their meals (including 3 of which are teenagers that eat anything..) Would not go back.

Don't get he tacos ...should probably be off the menu - no taste no sauce wk old dry chicken haha. Beyond that location is great, atmosphere the same and some of the best sticky wings we had all tasted.

I took the kids there today for lunch ..... it was terrible, the food took for ever and i even returned mine. Then know one was cleaning the tables outside so the seagulls had a feast ( until a customer started cleaning the tables ) After my great lunch i went to get the kids from the play house/room when i almost had a heart attack at how dirty and disgusting it was , looks like it had not been cleaning since it was put in and they even had it shut the whole covid period. Heath inspectors heaven this place..... Stay away

A good location and I parked straight outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cocktails were delicious and we would have liked to try them all, but we continued on our journey. The beer garden was big and clean with lots of comfy types of seats to choose. An excellent view of the beach and it would be a great place to finish off the day.

This is a great pub for live bands and sports events. Some current huge Australian acts and some from back in the day play here on the regular. Think Spiderbait, Hoodoo Gurus and the DMAs. Massive protector screen for the footy as well. Get in early though it's a popular pub for a reason. On the big event night there is usually a long queue.

Went up for the Flood Relief gig with Flume, DJ Seinfeld etc... The venue is awesome, surprisingly good bar service for how busy/packed the event was, great set up for an event too with the stage outside under the shade sail. I know that even without an event on I'd revisit just for a meal and some drinks, had really good vibes.
