She explained everything in detail and was willing to take the time to answer any questions we had. Download The Pass app for ordering to make it easy, Otherwise it's table service. They serve 821 Sav Blanc which is my favourite wine as well as a great selection of beers, spirits and wines. The portions are HUGE. We had the garlic bread, which was delicious. Followed by chicken schnitzel and Parmigiana. They were served with chips and salad, The meals were so big, we couldn't finish them. The atmosphere, food and staff were fabulous. You couldn't ask for more. Thank you Jemma and kitchen staff for making this a memorable experience. We'll be back for sure!

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. The service was appalling. Incredibly disappointed since I have been here many times and never had an issue but tonight was another story. As soon as we sat down we ordered drinks, we had to wait 15/20 minutes for them. Then we had to ask 2 different team members to take our orders and they didn’t even come out correct. We didn’t end up getting our entrees. We got our kids meal and she wasn’t given cutlery. We had to ask another 2 team members for cutlery. No one informed us they didn’t have chips, meals were not correct and cold. The manager on duty didn’t even have the decency to come make sure our food was correct she made no effort and was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I went to the bar to check on where our drinks she was too busy on her phone to even look up and give eye contact. 25 minutes after we had finished we were then offered dessert, but was too late that point. Was offered another round of drinks we asked for some and had to wait another 20 minutes before one of us had to walk to the bar to ask where they were. Very unprofessional and very unorganised.

My daughter and I were looking for somewhere to watch the Lions thrash North (and have a feed). The service was excellent from a great drink recommendation to swapping my daughter’s meal when she realised she ordered the wrong thing. The food came quickly and was what you’d expect for pub fare. I loved that every live sport you could want to see was on one of the many TVs. The only downfall was that the eating area was getting wafts of smoke from the smoking area. Thanks again for the great service.

Great experience with my family after a long week. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was told to try the Mexican Parmy here from a mate,It definitely did not disappoint!!! Well done chefs very tasty and delicious food. All round great experience,highly recommend!

First time dining here, staff very friendly food amazing Lamb shank mouth watering just fell of the bone, Calamari so tender and soft 😋 steak sandwich delicious. Hats of to the chefs 👨‍🍳 👏

Great restaurant We had girls lunch here. The food was great and area comfortable. I like the way food and dinning is separate from the traditional tab pub at the front. My Bangers and Mash was great and other girls meals were great too! Assortment of desserts was a nice touch too! Great service from staff, very attentive . Overall very good tavern food for a great price

Lovely meal recommend by old friend who lives near. She purchased two Seniors meals. Bangers and mash and barramundi with salad and chips. Very nice. Sausages very tasty and friend enjoyed her fish. Generous but not daunting portions. Friendly staff and great service

Absolutely humongous chicken Schnitzel with really tasty chips and garlic bread. Lost a star as the regular gravy tasted flour-y. Would recommend if you're in the area

We visited Runaway Bay Tavern today for a light lunch. The food was enjoyable; however, what impressed us the most was the service and the desire to please us as their guests. The waitress, Jayde, was unbelievably professional, accommodating, attentive ... in fact, the best I have experienced for some time. This is certainly a pleasant and welcoming venue!

Not a bad pub, been before and had a good feed. The Staff are attentive and quick to serve at table. This is a good thing. Snitzel was good, so was the calamari but the seniors battered fish was pathetic. Tiny filet covered in atrocious heavy inedible batter that was over cooked.... do better people.

It is an absolute pleasure to write a review for this young man his name is Deano he works at The Runaway Bay Tavern on the Gold Coast I have always found him to be polite professional, friendly and efficient, without doubt he is a fantastic asset for the Tavern. Well done Deano.

Had lunch here for the first time and the meal and service was good. Wasn't very busy so we could sit wherever. Good prices.

We have a brilliant experience with fantastic food and service by our waitresses Brittany and Layla. Service was amazing, food was more than what we would except from a tavern. Thank you so much. Will be suggesting this tavern as a wonderful dining experience .

Nice place to grab a Beer and feed. Specials, sides and Pizza reasonably priced, mains of Steak though are a bit pricey. Has pool table, in the sports bar with the TAB attached. Gaming room has a variety of Pokies to please all who enjoy having a slap. Beer is priced well.

The Runaway Bay Tavern bistro is clean and moden, The menu prices are reasonable, The manager was serving my table, and she was very polite, She took my order quickly, and the drinks came out fast. We had 2 drinks, 1 cheesy garlic bread, and the 2 chicken parmi for $70, The Parmi was well cooked very tasty, the hot chips were nice and the salad on the side was nicely dressed. Overall, I would recommend eating here. My whole experience from the time the order was taken until the time I paid was lovely, Thank you for making my birthday lunch nice.

Amazing service, Mary is such a gem, definitely the best gaming attendant I have come across in all my time. She is definitely a keeper.

I attended with my son to get night hours up. It took 80 min for a steak and grilled fish meal. It was meh. Fish came with curled edges, salad limp and cold chips. Not a cheap meal. Extremely disappointed. Earned 2 star instead of 1 as wait staff friendly and helpful. Not coming back.

Great atmosphere, great service, staff willing to help. Our x 2 family gathering was very nice and peaceful at this location. Meals were large, but very tasty. I will return.

We dropped in for a lunch. It was quite but a pleasant atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly. The food serving was a good size and was tasty. I would go back.

Loved the look and seating areas. Heaters where a bit too warm for the night as we had to take our jackets off. Family and friends had a fun night. The staff were very helpful and thoughtful. With an eagerness to please us. Thanks for the night.

I have been here several times. I am vegan and it is great how they have a couple of vegan options. The food is very tavern like, but they are so affordable and the staff are so lovely. last time I went they had a temp chef and he had ran out of the vegan patty for the burger and he went out of his way to make me a vegan burger and gave a side of veggies with it. so sweet and thoughtful of him. Lovely people, lovely place

Christmas lunch was a treat and my favourite oysters were in attendance (but not for long)😀. The food was fresh and plentiful and staff were first class with their cheerful smiles and attentive service. This excellent value for money Christmas lunch is a winner again. Thanks for a memorable day.

My family and I came in for dinner and we had a below average experience. The food took 40+ minutes to arrive, and there was only 2-3 other tables seated and it was average. We ordered a steak medium-rare and it came out well done. Two employees were clearly arguing in front of everyone. The only good thing about this experience was the waiter who was serving us, he was amazing.

Today we had lunch at the Runaway Bay Tavern and it was a great experience at the first opening of the door by staff. The girls there made us feel so special. The food was superb, all cooked to perfection. I would recommend this Tavern to anyone wanting a great lunch and being served by great staff. Thank you Runaway Tavern!

Just had Christmas lunch at the tavern. Exceptional value for money. Copious amounts of beautifully fresh oysters and massive prawns then 5 different meats. Desserts were plentiful and delicious. The staff were fantastic and it’s a credit to the tavern on how hard, friendly and attentive they were. Made a great family day to remember.

Came for the Mothers day buffet, was the worst experience I've ever had... $28 we thought was too good to be true, turned out it was. No toast was available, if you wanted it, you bad to ask. The sauce selection at the end of the buffet was confusing as all hell, as next to the raspberry jam was what looked like cream... no it was aioli, we even had to keep telling other customers not to put it on their waffles, and we were the customers! There were never clean plates available, we had to keep asking, and the juice bar was always empty, also had to keep asking. The "scones" that were advertised on the mother's day menu weren't there, instead there were rock hard muffins. Our coffee order I gave to the staff at the beginning of our reservation got given to us when we were leaving, which was over an hour later!!! There is so so much more, but I'll leave it with that. We paid for 5 people, $28 per head, what a waste of money! Can understand that there was a staffing issue, but this event should have been cancelled if there were issues leading into the morning. I hope that in future you look bad on this morning circus and really plan these functions in future, there were a lot of unhappy customers there this morning, on what is supposed to be a happy morning spent with family. A shout out to the lovely younger cook who was assisting at the buffet table, he was keeping spirits high.
