Affordable Authentic Italian fix! Great service, staff are friendly, place is clean and walking distance from major hotels. I got supreme and meat lovers pizza, delicious and served piping hot from wood fired oven! Each pizza only cost 20$!! Will definitely come back again to try other menu. Card surcharge 1.5%

A lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Surfers Paradise. You can tell it's authentic, by the way, most of the staff speak loudly and passionately with each other in Italian. 😊 The menu is extensive, with something to suit every taste. Meals are fresh and served quickly, even when the restaurant is very busy. The food has nice flavours and is not overly spiced. The staff are very friendly and attentive, with quick service at every point of the meal. There is an extensive and well stocked bar. They can accommodate large groups. With the music, staff chatter and road noise, it is quite loud.

Quite nice Italian. Just wandering past and stopped for dinner as it looked nice. Decent servings and very quick service. Waitress was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was acceptable, and they were more than willing to accommodate some changes, and then supply a to-go box for the left overs

Great food and atmosphere. Lunch price is reasonable with pastas and pizza's starting at $18. They a good selection of wines and also have of beers on the tap. Heaps of seating. Definitely try it out for lunch or dinner. 🍝🍕🦐

Extremely high quality pizza here with a fantastic vibe in a very busy location. The wait staff were attentive, always smiling and the pizza was loaded with fresh toppings but not sloppy like some with lots of toppings can get. Reasonable prices for such good pizza. I want to go back and try the pastas now which all look incredible too. Highly recommend searching this place for dinner if you’re on the GC 👌

The staff here are very friendly, service is wicked fast, I had been seated, ordered and received my food in under 10 minutes. The meatballs were so tasty and not dry or overcooked. The recommended wine was well suited for the meal and weather. Finally, the value for money here is excellent.

What a wonderful night we had! I would highly recommend booking before you go as they are so popular on a Saturday night. We were lucky as we were just two people. This restaurant was established in 1987 and it is as popular as ever. The reason is the quality of the food, wine and beer. It is just outstanding. Today we popped in again. This time the food was better than before. The oysters with lime were devine. The pasta was freshly made and one could just close your eyes to imagine that you were in Italy. The service again friendly and welcoming. This has become a favourite place of mine. Definitely the best in Surfers Paradise.

Called in on Saturday afternoon to book a table for 6 for dinner, and the beautiful owners quickly accommodated our request! Amazing atmosphere, large space yet you get the cozy and family-like vibes throughout the restaurant and the food is just fantastic! Large portions, so absolutely worth the price. Pizza takeaway boxes were being packed continuously (we were fortunate to be seated close to the pizza kitchen - and boy oh boy did those pizzas look beautiful!) Everyone quickly devoured their meals and I managed to only get a shot of mine - spaghetti pottunesca. Oh my lord, simple ingredients put together which made it look and taste like heaven. Definitely worth giving them a try! Easily 5 stars from us 😊

Enjoyed a Very Nice Saturday Lunch at Costa D’oro Italian Restaurant. Amazing Location on Orchid Avenue Surfers Paradise. Fabulous Attentive Service. Had the Garlic Bread with Mozzarella Cheese & the Scaloppine con Gamberi. The Garlic Bread & Veal were Super. The Prawns Could Have Been Less Firm

Love the food here. I feel very lucky to have this restaurant close to my hotel. You won't believe how many times I came for food during my 1 week holiday. I would recommend everything on the menu. You can close your eyes and randomly point anything on it. The staff are also friendly. The food is stunning and size is quite big. There's even free kids ice cream, if you have kids.

#Gold Coast has a lot of Italian restaurants. Many of them have very high ratings on Google. We happened to pass by this Italian restaurant, and it seemed to be one of the most crowded ones on the street, so we decided to give it a try. First of all, the ambiance was nice, and it wasn't too hot sitting outdoors at night. 💕Fettuccine Doro The portion size was huge. The pasta was cooked perfectly, not too soft or too hard. There were four prawns, and they were of decent quality. The sauce was quite creamy! 🙆🏻‍♀️Truffle Risotto Again, the portion size was generous. What made it special was the addition of walnuts in the rice, which I felt somewhat overshadowed the truffle flavor. Nevertheless, it was still delicious! 🤔Supreme Pizza This one was just average for me because I prefer Italian pizzas that are thicker and more chewy. However, the pizza had generous toppings, and the taste was good. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a must-visit restaurant. If you're in the area and don't know where to eat, it's still a decent choice.

Costa D'oro is one of the most Italian places you'll ever dine at away from Italy, I haven't been to Italy yet myself, but the range in dishes that was on offer was beyond expectation and very traditional at that! Food was fresh and hot. All meals were delicious and satisfying filling! I went with my family and when we entered the restaurant a lovely lady greeted us. We did not have a booking but we were escorted to a table nonetheless. The restaurant was quite busy and patrons were filing in and out. Due to this the waiters tended to go a bit MIA at times and there was some wait with the food. However, the waiters were attentive and when we asked about our order they gave various checks on the progress on the food before it was served. The atmosphere was stunning with the traditional brick print on the walls, and dim warm lighting. The style of the restaurant was a fusion between the classic 'ristorante' and simple modernity. Very cosy vibes here. Would definitely eat here again and try out less mainstream meals at this authentic Italian homey restaurant! :)) ❤️ 🍕

⭐️Nonna meatball - meatballs were alright and the Napoleon sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes, not the very rich kind of sauce; the two garlic bread on the side didn’t have much garlic taste to it and it’s quite hard; but overall not bad 7/10 ⭐️Fettuccine D’oro - outstanding! haven’t had such a good creamy sauce pasta in a long time; definitely recommend!! the portion is very large, so feels a bit oily in the end 10/10

Really nice pizza. Large Sicilian hit the spot. Too busy for us to sit outside so we sat inside and was a nice traditional atmosphere. Other meals in the party seemed like very generous portions.

This place was absolutely amazing! From the moment you step in till you step out the staff greets and serve you with great professionalism and a smile. Food is absolutely delicious and portions are more than enough to make you full. Definitely can recommend Fettuccine D’oro and seafood platter. Has got a great lively vibe with nice music and relaxing lighting. Loved this place!!

Disappointing all round! Food quality and presentation poor, considering the prices being charged. I suppose it´s the old adage avoid Surfer Paradise if you don’t want to get ripped off. They even charge you 1.5% for paying with a bank card and try to say it’s the banks that charge you…NO its the business owners asking the bank to add the bank charge to the machine so its customer’s pay their bank fees. So, not only is it a café style operation they expect you to pay their bank fees. AVOID THIS ONE.

Fresh and delicious oysters with good deal. The mussels were perfectly cooked and the sauce was so appetising. The supreme pizza had a lot of different toppings which can fulfil your wish to try different flavours. The truffle risotto was fine and I think they could remove the walnut on top because it didn’t really match the risotto. The portion was generous so we packed away half to save for later. Lovely and quick service. Like the vibe of the restaurant too.

Disappointing dining experience. Food overall was average / bellow Average for a well established restaurant. Normally i wouldnt dine at a restaurant with reviews turnd off on Facebook as we know Google reviews can be deleted. Obviously restaurant is relying on unwittingly tourists for business and not return local business. Restaurant was clean, tables clean, plates, utensils clean. Prawn Alla Diavola - Prawns Fresh cooed perfect, Sauce delicious, garnishes fresh rice under cooked. Cocktails - Sweet / sugary, not using fresh mixer ingredients but cordial cocktails mixers. Noticed 3 different tables had left not finishing drinks so wasn't just us who had an issue with drinks. Asked 2 additional waiter/waitresses for a glass of ice water as the original waiter didn't deliver, came out as room temperature with no ice when it finally arrived. Chicken Pizza - Over cooked, Burnt Base, soggy floppy centre. Pizza Oven heat was to high. Was uneatable one bite was enough. Pizza was returned to kitchen. Table of 8 guys next to us ordered all pizza, same issue and didn't finish there meals. Wines / beer - Fine / fresh came out and correct temperature clean glassware. Truffle Gnocchi- was cooked fine, wasn't amazing. More of creamy musroom flavour, very mild truffle. Would have preferred the truffles to be the star flavour. Spoke to the Manager, about issues and improvements didn't really care. Although he did discount meal. I Don't expect them to try to improve anytime soon.

Food was lovely and their staff members are really friendly as well. Ordered a starter Mussel as main - bread was crispy and the mussels were cooked to perfect point. It was our friend’s bday and the staff was so ready to surprise our friend, however we were in a rush so had to leave right after finishing the food. That staff member was upset as we didn’t have a chance to enjoy the dessert they prepared for our friend, and asked again if we could stay for just a dessert. Super sweet!! Would definitely go back again.

If you want great tasting food, to be satisfied, fat and happy after a meal, Costa is a great place. The service was on point! Only draw back is some of the seating is close to the road. We had: Morten Bay Bugs, Garlic Pizza with mozzarella, rigatoni and carbonara. All the dishes were decently sized and the sauces incredible. Will definitely be sharing this place with friends and family!

We eat here whenever we come to the Gold Coast, and once again our meals were beautiful and tasty. True authentic Italian flavours, generous sizing, attentive and friendly waiters.the pizza and pasta dishes are truly amazing and worth the price. Located on Orchard avenue just off Cavill avenue, this place has a great atmosphere and easy walking access to entertainment and other food outlets. You can eat in a covered area outside, or inside, but be sure to book a table if you aren’t going to be there early as it can be super busy, They also offer a take away menu as well. The only negative is limited car posting on the street around Cavill avenue, but park further down and walk. This place is definitely worth it . Thank you again for yet another a wonderful meal!

Loved our dinner at Costa D’oro. Started off with a great bruschetta and mixed oysters which were both fantastic. Followed by a marinara pasta and an amazing margarita pizza. Lychee margarita was tasty as, would go back again and again.

My partner and I were staying on surfers for the weekend and came across the most amazing Italian restaurant! The food and portions were beyond expectation! If you are looking for a great tasting and friendly experiencing Italian restaurant, this is the one!

Pizza was tasty, not full of grease and the base was crispy. Pasta was delicious, tasted fresh and cooked perfectly, along with the Prawns. No complaints here, will definitely go back next time we're up in Qld.

Amazing Italian restaurant right in the heart of Cavill ave Staff are amazing and know the menu back to front. Food was delicious and with large numbers in the restaurant they still did a super quick turnover for the food. Will pay to book, but there is always room for walk-ups as well. Highly recommend this place and it won't be my last time there.

Firstly the food here is wonderful with huge servings and their lunchtime special when we were there of $18 for pasta, pizza and salad and $11.50 jugs of soft drink/juice made it family affordable. (Takeaway/doggy bags are available) They also have outdoors dining, and are pet friendly (even offering a water dish). The other patrons were celebrating a birthday behind us and my children gave them well wishes which were gratefully received. (These beautiful, 28 year olds 😉, were also a highlight of our visit there though are not a variable factor considered in this rating.) Recommendation to other goers to use toilets elsewhere as the ones here are accessible via stairs underground in a carpark, not safe feeling or well light nor are they easily or disability inclusive. Much appreciation to the lovely waitressing staff at Costa D’oro with special shout-out to Sophia who has a very special heart, an effervescent smile and will never be forgotten for her kindness. Especially when my youngest unfortunately knocked their drink into their food! Oops! Where they unfortunately lost a star for me was with the managers attitude and glares during our visit. Thought of the day: Kindness costs us nothing and a simple smile can make someone feel seen and validated. #suicide awareness month Information is accurate at times of posting but please phone ahead to verify info as needed.

My sisters and I (3) were staying locally and this place and the menu appealed. We had no reservation, but they had a table on the sidewalk where we were happy to sit with outdoor gas heaters this place was warm enough. On a Thursday night this place looked nearly full (both the large indoor space and the marquee on the sidewalk where they seated us), but they were efficient with the orders, staff friendly and helpful and meals and drinks turned up promptly. Prices seemed reasonable, the food was good (although I don't expect complicated dishes for them - pizza and a seafood platter), the wine list was pretty reasonable and we enjoyed a bottle of SA Tempranillo. I would certainly be happy to go back and try some other menu items if in the neighbourhood again.

Very quick service when we were in a hurry with delicious pasta! The vegetarian fettuccine was nice a light and my partner had the tortellini which he loved. Garlic bread was on point!

Loved our pre-GCM visit to Costa D'oro following managing to reserve a last-minute table for Dinner after a quick call. The lady who took my call was super friendly and helpful. This experience continued when we arrived and were attended to, then seated quickly by the team. Orders were taken quickly, food served swiftly after and was delicious - The Pastas and Salads in particular were the best dishes for. All tasted great and allowed us to sit down, eat and leave within an hour which is incredible. Thank you again to the team for a great Dinner!

The service is quick and the staff is super nice, but the food was below average. I've had many risottos in my life and what I got there was not a risotto. It was just cooked white rice mixed with sauce. My husband said his pasta was ok hence 3 stars.

Nice Italian restaurant in the Gold Coast. We went a little earlier than normal dinner time, and glad we did because it got quite busy afterwards. Service was fast and accurate. Doormen were friendly, though pushy to sit outside in the outdoor seating area. The bruschetta was overpriced at $12.50 for two small pieces, for an extra $2.50 you can add feta cheese, what can of Italian restaurant offers feta as their cheese option?! Thought that was a little silly. I ordered the Tortellini Papalina and my fiancé ordered the chicken gnocchi and his flavours were definitely better than mine. My cream sauce seemed to be lacking that real Italian flavour with the parmesan bite. Shocked they don’t offer Parmesan to be grated on top of pasta dishes, they did have the fine powder like parm to shake on top as an alternative.
