One of the best Chinese food I have eaten in Australia! Been living in South Australia for the past 9 years and I wish we had Chinese food this good back in SA. We ordered the roast duck, sweet & sour pork (Hong Kong style), homemade tofu with mushrooms and minced pork, and salt and pepper crab. All dishes were to die for! Service was exceptional too! Highly recommended! 👍🏻🥢🥡

Gibby and her husband produce amazing service and food! A very busy little restaurant (make sure to book ahead) that serves up authentic and delicious Cantonese cuisine. Love their noodles, tofu and of course, the deep fried chicken wings! Very accommodating when we bring along gluten-free customers too!

I doubt any Chinese restaurant in Gold Coast could beat this one. 10 stars if we can.

Authentic Hong Kong/Southern Chinese Food! Yummy. Friendly front desk lady allowed me to dine in even though they closing in 20 mins. Salted fish fried rice came within 5 mins after I ordered, big portion and yummy. Good price too! Will be back to try out other food next time as they have a super long list of food in their menu.

Have been going consistently for the last six years and I have to say that the food is great. The service is good and the atmosphere is very ecosy though it might not be the best for a formal meeting. However I do have one complaint and it is the rising price of the dishes and how they are slowly getting smaller and smaller in portion size. The taste has also changed over the years and have become less special to me. Overall it is a great restaurant but it just hurts how it isn't what it used to be.

So friendly, so helpful and such lovely food. Freshly made extremely tasty curry sauce, wonderful egg fried rice, so tasty indeed. I asked for a recommendation and was advised to try the xo chicken, my goodness how wonderful was that. I'm going to be visiting every week from now on. My favourite Chinese Restaurant.

Ordered beef and black bean and fried rice for lunch. SOO many vegetables not much meat. Beef and black bean was bland and watery could hardly taste black bean tasted more like beef cooked in water. Was not impressed. Ordered a bag or orange chips and get home and they are stale. Maybe dine in food is better because your actually there and it needs to be nice. Won't order again.

One of my favourite regular restaurant in Gold Coast. Owner is very friendly like a good neighbor. Food is very yummy. Small family owned restaurant. Try white bait and crispy pork. You will keep coming for those.

We ordered takeaway attracted from the reviews. The restaurant served authentic Cantonese cuisine from HK and we were not disappointed. The owner recommended sweet sour pork, traditional beef brisket (with homemade dry mandarin skin) and hometown tofu (also homemade). All were beautifully cooked and prepared.

We found this place by searching the web for a Chinese restaurant in Gold Coast late last year (2021). Since then, my parents in laws, my husband, and I have been visiting Tasty Magic nearly every month. This Cantonese Chinese restaurant is one of our favourites; the food has been superb, and the quality and taste has been consistent. The owner has been very friendly to us and knowledgeable in Cantonese food and culture. In addition, the recommended specials of day have been both surprising and delightful in taste. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to taste the best Cantonese cuisine at reasonable price in cosy, family friendly setting.

My family loves this restaurant. I wanted to show my girlfriend how amazing the food was here. The special chilli chicken is so good, I ate the whole plate in one day all by myself. The char siu pork is so perfect, I saved some extra to put in steamed baos later. I love everything about this place. The owner is so lovely! She will make you feel so welcomed and well fed.

Been there a few times. Great home cook Hong Kong style food. Menu filled with pics so easy to pick and choose. Quick, clean and friendly service. Lady boss need to relax though! ;)

I’m not usually the type to write reviews but this place definitely deserves one. We ordered takeaway and when I picked it up I was genuinely taken aback from how beautiful and kind both of the owners were. Very rare these days and I left with a smile on my face. Delicious food and great value. We will absolutely be back again!!

The most authentic Cantonese/HK dishes ever in Australia (not only in Gold Coast!) Their signature Mushroom Tofu is a MUST try. Thanks Gibby and Eric for your great hospitality :) If you are at the region, you MUST try it out. I miss their dishes even I'm overseas now.

Just moved here from Canberra and finally find this one. The Peking duck is the killer, crisp skin outside and tender meat inside. All dishes full of flavours. Will be come more often.

We have never been here before or tried the food before, we went solely off Google reviews and it did not disappoint!! We celebrated a birthday in the restaurant. By far the best Chinese on the northern end of the GC. Absolutely recommend!

Visited on a Wednesday evening and the place was full, luckily we had booked a table. There were 5 of us (adults), all ordered different mains. The food came out together (no long waits for anyone), everything was superb! The food was hot, tasty and delicious. So mouthwatering, fresh produce, freshly cooked for each diner. To compliment the meals we ordered a large Veg Rice & a large Special Fried Rice. Whilst most of the meals were eaten up then-and-there, there was enough ’leftovers’ to take home, that service was willingly offered by the staff. The staff/owners were so attentive, great customer service and really knew their stuff. Another bonus was the fact it’s BYO alcohol! Just one observation, as with most small restaurants it can get a little noisy (sound seems to reverberate off the walls), only mention that because if someone in a group suffers with poor hearing they may struggle. That wouldn’t put me off going back but, you can always order takeaway! Really fantastic food!

Amazing, tasty food that I could wait to eat again for breakfast. Ordered the fried dim sim, eggplant and pork hotpot, and fried rice and all are so good but everyone needs to try the rainbow crispy steak it's like eating crunchie candy. Always helps to have the bottle shop next door too.

OMG... Best Chinese I have had in years. I rarely give 5 stars but this is well deserved 👍 Well priced, good portions and actually has meat in the dish not 3 or 4 pieces like most other restaurants. Then there is the flavour, just wow. Family owned and run, 5 thumbs up 😀
