Enjoyed a very nice baguette with ham and cheese today at this café. This place is a bit out of the way, but is very popular. Even though the streets have been very quiet, the café was almost full. Says a lot about its quality and staff. Coffee was great. And the Classic Baguette even better. Yum. And the staff was attentive and pleasant. Also, a good location, just off the highway, and with enough afternoon sunshine to warm up this tired body .

We had another great lunch at Le Cafe Gourmand last Saturday. It is our go to casual dining spot on the Coast. It is always a celebration - great food, service and that welcome feeling. Love it.

We attended a private dinner here and it was the best! Food was amazing what a great chef.

We ate here three times during our 5 day stay on the Gold Coast. The food was excellent, the coffee was great, the baguettes were divine. But over and above all of that, the staff were amazing. Naturally warm and friendly, even when things got super busy. If we were to move to the Gold Coast, we would have to live within walking distance of this cafe so that it could be our local.

Been going there a few times and it never disappoints. Very good French cuisine and friendly atmosphere. The staff is super friendly. And you can buy some iconic french products on the way out :-)

Excellent food, and excellent service! Our server had a delightful personality with a smile that never faltered. I got an omelette with tomato, spinach, and ham (I was honestly expecting regular sandwich ham, which is probably an insult to the cafe), but instead I was presented an incredibly flavourful meat that complemented the contents of the omelette. I ordered it with a fresh baguette, which was all kinds of wonderful - crispy, chewy, and soft. My partner went straight for the desserts for breakfast, and greatly enjoyed the creme brulee; I especially loved the additional berry sorbet (a very nice touch). This cafe stands out from many I've been to, and I can't wait to go back!

Had a fantastic Mother's Day breakfast at Le Cafe Gourmand. The food was so fresh and delicious, atmosphere was so relaxed and comfortable and the service was exceptional. So often I have found dining out on special holiday's is cramped, rushed and generally unpleasant. Not at Le Cafe Gourmand. It was of course busy but it did not feel busy and the staff who were also busy had plenty of time to happily chat and interact with us and our daughter. You would never have known it was a busy public holiday. Highly recommend and can't wait to return to try more of this yummy fresh French food!

Visited for breakfast. Decent menu, good friendly service, the food was tasty. Dog friendly!! I had the eggs benedict, my husband had the granola, we enjoyed both! Will return, would love to try the lunch/dinner menu and the cocktail list looked delicious.

Really happy with our family lunch at Cafe Le Gourmand yesterday. The service was perfect. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, but not in your face. They also both sounded French which gave an authentic feel to this charming cafe. Most importantly the food was delicious and good value for money. The chicken pie, escargot and pannacotta were standouts. My salad nicoise with ocean trout was light and fresh, although the green beans could have done with a little extra dressing. Can’t wait to go back again and try the other dishes!

Delightful French relaxed bistro vibe and food. All made onsite including the bread which is definitely a highlight. Fresh and no fuss ingredients. Great selection of wines to match and their coffee is very good and consistently made. Sitting outside in a must as the outdoor area is really well shaded but let's the warm breeze run through. Staff are delightful

We were greeted and shown to our table quickly and coffee ordered straight away. Coffee arrived as we perused the menu, I had a delicious omelette and my friend the bruschetta. Both meals arrived in a timely manner and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We didn’t resist the treats in the cabinet nor the excuse for another coffee. All staff are polite, friendly and nothing is too much to ask of them. My dogs didn’t miss out either, I bought doggy icecream to take home to the boys 😊 It is always a pleasure to visit.

When the coffee was delivered, I knew I was in a place that values quality. The crema displayed a sense of richness and opulence, and then the aroma...ohhhh...the complexity and sweetness of the bean was very apparent. And then the perfection of the tarte, again demonstrated the dedication to the craft of hospitality by the cafe. Wonderful.

Had a fabulous dinner at Le Cafe Gourmand on Fri night. It is a set menu for their dinners, which are usually only on Fridays, so we knew what each course would be, and it did not disappoint. We were part of a large group, and everyone was impressed. The food and service were faultless, and it is incredible value. It was a great night and we will all book again.

Le Cafe Gourmand never disappoints. The food is excellent, in terms of quality, preparation and presentation. The staff are courteous and attentive, and make for a relaxed dining experience. The prices for genuinely very good French fare are very reasonable.

The only downfall of this place is no parking. Absolutely 💜 💜 💜 this place! I had the shushuka, and my friend had the croque madame and a baguette with an iced coffee, 1st time here, but definitely not the last!!

It was the first time that we had been there. We will definitely be back again. The staff are super friendly, the food was fantastic and the drinks were nice and hot. Just how we like it! Nothing worse than having lukewarm drinks.

A cute Cafe located just off a main road, but feels more isolated due to the layout and decor. The staff were wonderful. The food delicious and fresh. Our party of 4 all loved our various meals.

Was so wonderful to bring friends to this gem of a cafe after so many years and still be amazing. We discovered this cafe almost 9 years ago and everything about it I love: the staff, food, efficiency of meal, coffee. I had the Tartine and it was divine. I went home with some chocolate croissants and lollies for my kids and it still didn’t break the budget. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m on the Gold Coast.

Very cute little French style cafe. Staff were prompt and friendly. The baguette was nice and fresh, and very filling. The salmon pie was beautiful. We’re were pleasantly surprised at the quality and amount of fish you get. It was almost an entire fillet of salmon between two slices of puff pastry with a wonderful cream sauce. The snails were also great, perhaps slightly salty but it was perfect with some bread. Coffee was ok, perhaps had a slightly burnt flavour but the food and service more than made up for it. Would be keen to return to try the breakfast and dinner menus!

I've been visiting this cafe for breakfast and brunch and it's awesome. Highly recommended. My French friends also recommended the dinner nights, so I booked Dec 18th for us all. Unfortunately, it was not worth the price. The second course was goat cheese and iberico ham but there was no bread to eat it with (even if we wanted to order extra), it was hard to eat this dish by itself. There was no special flavors in any of the dishes, the Barramundi was very dry, mix of flavors not working together and overall not a French cuisine experience. My friends (based on their previous experiences) were also surprised by the difference in quality. We were wondering if you guys are trying new different flavors that are not quite French or maybe don't go that good together? Not sure what it is, but probably worth checking what's working and what's not? So we all leave with happy tummies and a great culinary experience. All the best!

Le cafe Gourmand is a favourite place on the gold coast for breakfast or lunch. My favourite is their duck confit. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the ambamce is special. Friendly staff and you will enjoy any choice u make on the menu.

Walked in an immediately greeted with great hospitality. Overall was extremely satisfied with the customer service and food was exceptional. I had the scrambled eggs with a twist - the goats cheese mousse was chefs kiss. Would recommend 👍🏻

A great impromptu brunch today. Mariana looked after us so well, and with humour. Will be back. :) / Went again today 08/08/20. The Eggs Benedict & salmon omelette were beyond good. The lovely wait staff are great and work hard. This place would have to be the best for Covid19 countermeasures I have ever seen. Staff are continuously wiping down tables & chairs & menus when customers leave.Also, no need to hold a pen which has been handled by hundreds of people. Just sign in on your own mobile phone on a link given on the menus. Dogs are welcome too. Easily the best cafe I have been to on the Gold Coast. :)

Food was amazing and tasty 🔥 I think it needs a bit of a renovation. New tables and chairs, kinda felt like I was in a study room or a business meeting. Staff need to be a bit more conscious of new customers at the front, and a bit more friendly :) other than that it was good.

Arrived for a quiet Saturday morning breakfast and picked this one as it was handy to my location and the menu looked inviting. It’s a relatively large French style cafe with outdoor dining area along with indoors. Table service with kind and attentive staff. Plenty to choose from on the menu but I only wanted a coffee and bread so I ordered the toasted baguette with jam. Coffee was great and the baguette exceeded expectations. I will most definitely return if I’m down this way again to sample something else on the menu. 👍

Great breakfast spot My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast here with a very good coffee. The food came out very quickly, was delicious and beautifully presented. We were very impressed with the baguette which had a good thick crust and chewy centre! No wonder it's so popular!!

The menu selection was so good it took a little while to decide what to eat. We ordered an emmental cheese and ham baguette and asked to include tomatoes and Le Gourmand Cafe salad with chicken. The food was delicious. The chicken was warm and tender and the flavours of the salad were superb with little pods of pomegranate and a little crunch from almonds. The baguette was chewy and filling. The ham was top quality off-the-bone. The desert choices looked scrumptious but we were too full to try any. I asked for a take home croissant but they had sold out so I recommend you order one early to avoid disappointment. The 1664 French beer was good as was the coffee. I would give this cafe a 5 star if it had a beach view, or nicer view than the Gold Coast Highway and more comfortable sitting. The parking is difficult as only has off-street parking but still worth a visit for the delicious food. You could always choose take-away by calling in advance. I'll be back for my croissant!
