Giving this Thai restaurant 5 stars as it's one of the better Thai restaurants I have visited outside of Bangkok. The setting & ambience reflects that Thai vibe as soon as you enter. Staff accommodated us quickly without fuss despite not having a booking. Service was fast & portions huge, we had enough to take home! Food was delicious & my vegetarian stir fry was loaded with a colourful selection of fresh vegetables

Absolutely beautiful dining experience! We ordered chilli fish, spicy calamari, sweet & sour pork, lemongrass chicken and tamarind prawns. We shared all dishes and accompanied them with the best coconut rice I have ever had. All dishes were amazingly delicious and the service and setting made for a wonderful evening meal. The setting is unbelievable! Right next to the stunning beach style pool of the Mantra Crown Towers. Perfect 👌🏽 Went back for the same dishes and they were just as good…and I took some pics 👍🏽

Amazing food, probably some of the best decor and artwork in a restaurant I have seen in awhile. Really shows the history of the restaurant and the service and food are very good. We stayed in Surfers Paradise on Orchid Avenue and it was a 10 min walk. The coconut rice and green curry was the best!. The satay sauce was really good and we also had the chicken cashewnut stir fry which was amazing. The Thai milk tea tasted a little diluted but was still decent. Highly recommend going here if you are Surfers Paradise.

BLAND TASTING THAI FOOD AT ITS BEST. Those who are saying food tastes good in here, have no idea of authentic Thai food. Most are just happy with ambience and saying food is good because others saying so, who have no idea of thai taste. Food is lacking bit of everything meaning less spicy, less salty, less sour etc... I remembered very well I ordered “prawn and chicken pad thai” with EXTRA meat and got exactly 1 prawn in it. I have tried thai food not only in australia but in Thailand, India, nz, usa and uk. Mostly I have experienced average to authentic thai taste but in this restaurant food is below mediocre at its best. Well, my wife says i am being generous and Chiangmai proudly deserves ZERO marks on taste. Not to mention price is on higher side, seating is uncomfortable, service is with rustic attitude. Only good thing is ambience but food taste here killed all.

We were up from Sydney (a city with plenty of Thai restaurants!) and had to check out this place based off the reviews. Wow! Would have to be the best Thai dining experience we’ve ever had! The decor feels like you’re in Thailand with staff wearing traditional dress. The food was out of this world. A stand out would be the prawn salad. If you’re on the Gold Coast be sure to check to this place out but do make sure you have a booking, it gets packed.

From the Waitresses Dressed in Stunning Traditional Dresses, To the Lovely Decor. This Place Is Outstanding. Very Good Menu, Offering A Large Selection of Thai Delicacies. The Dishes Are Beautifully Presented and Were Delicious. Very Impressive.

I love Thai food but unfortunately this did not taste like authentic Thai food. Very flavourless. The chicken skewers were very hard thin & dry. The omelette portion size was very small only half the container & I got vegetarian omelette so for the price I expected a decent serving size. The rice is so expensive also & tastes like nothing. Extremely disappointing wouldn't return. Everything on the menu is expensive & the 3 dishes I tried were not good at all. The restaurant looks nice & the staff were nice. I paid $60 for 1 entree, rice & omelette takeaways which included a 10% discount.

Absolutely amazing food and service, the decor is breathtaking. Such a beautiful environment to dine in. The service was impeccable, though busy the food arrived to us promptly, was very well presented it looked and tasted amazing. Would recommend to try the chiangmai larger it peers beautifully with the food a very good larger at a great price. Excellent dining experience, wonderful friendly staff, great table service. if on holiday or a local this place is a must go to restaurant! I highly highly recommend coming to dine and experience this wonderful venue. It's a must on the to do list. Can not find a single fault in the whole dining experience. Good work guys

We went Goldcoast for a visit and stayed in Mantra Sun City which is walking distance to Chiangmai Thai Restaurant. We went for dinner and All I can say is Wow, Wow,Wow, outstanding and excellent customer service. The food was delicious and amazing, I ordered crab fried rice and my husband who doesn't really like Thai food ordered ginger fish, and he loved it and he wants to go back again. The artworks and decor of the restaurant is outstanding. Even the staff from the restaurant also dress their traditional Thai Clothing, makes us feel like we're in Thailand.😀 Outside you can see the big pool and the big buildings, the chairs are made of wood baby elephant, very heavy to move, next to you is the big elephant. We ate outside it wasn't too cold because there's heater next to you. I would highly recommend this restaurant, it's actually Award Winning restaurant. If you visit Goldcoast, I recommend you visit this beautiful Chiangmai Thai restaurant. ❤️😀

An amazing evening. What a luscious dinner. I am a big fan of thai cuisine, and I must admit that I never had such an authentic experience. Staff was super friendly and service was ultra quick. I recommend you to do your reservation else there will be long wait even on weekdays. I highly recommend. You can't go wrong with any of your selection.

I once rated this the best Thai restaurant in the world, however sadly feel that the food quality has dropped to “ok” over the last 10 years. Service still very good and friendly as is the decor. Biggest issue in this instance was an extremely rude patron swearing obscenities while standing and yelling his stories to what I assume was his family, seated next to us, that the staff seemed uninterested in addressing. In my view a good restaurant would have addressed this to minimise impact to others and I was very surprised and disappointed it was allowed to continue. Not sure I’ll be back.

Always great food here been coming for years. It’s a mix of indoor and outdoor eating and the outdoor can be quite hot for Thai food. Service is fast and prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that table size they will sit four on a tiny round table and there is barely room for the food to share or drinks. They have huge very heavy carved chairs which look great but aren’t practical can barely move the m to get in and out. But we are here for food and the food is great so I’ll be back.

The hype is real with Chiangmai - the food is absolutely delicious. So much flavour but not overpowering. Staff are delightful and so attentive. The atmosphere and decor is fun and beautiful (no idea if it's authentic as I've never been to Thailand!) It's our go-to for Thai - nowhere else on the GC comes close. Side note - the portion sizes are fantastic. My mum and I always go home with tons of leftovers! Chiangmai Thai is a local for my wife and I. We have loved every meal and dish while eating there. Some of our favs are Spicy Seafood, Panang, Green Curry, curry puffs and more. Food is good value but can be more expensive than other Thai restaurants. Still highly recommend. Walk in bookings are fine depending on the day of the week, which we have done our selves. On Friday/Saturday nights, I would recommend to book or come later in the evening.

Ordered the Chiangmai sausage, fish cake, Thai omelette, and coconut rice. All very flavourful and had a great balance of spices! My favourite dish was the Thai omelette which paired nicely with the sriracha based sauce that it was served with. The complimentary flavoured water also offered a simple yet fresh refreshment.

Food and service was absolutely outstanding! Went as a group of 12 and order was put through quickly and service was quick. The masaman curry was the star of the show followed closely by the greenie. If you can allow, the fried ice cream or fried banana to end the night 🤤

10/10 thai food! The best i have tried in the gold coast! Highly recommended! We had the coconut rice (10/10, *chefs kiss*), crispy duck (9/10, super crispy & the sauce was great), tomyum soup (8/10, spicy), stir-fry chicken (8/10, spicy but so tender). All in all it was amazing and i would definitely return to try other dishes!

It was really tasty. We tried the soft shelled crabb, BBQ duck and lemon grass chicken. The crab was really lovely and the duck was the highlight of the meal. Service was fantastic and there was lots of attention to the decor. However, the whole building needs a bit of a deep clean.

Good and tasty entree. Good mains and a lot of fragrance. We had a green curry and a chilly basil beef and on both the meat were chewy. The rice came after more than five minutes while the mains were on the table getting cold. Not a bad experience overall... We'll be back!

Fantastic Thai food as always, first time here as we always go to the Broadbeach location, service here was on point, friendly and swift. Nice ambience with the furniture, water feature and ornamentation.. highly recommended!

Really recommend it. Better to book a table before you come. Food is wonderful, from speciality Coconut rice, fresh but not too sweet to signature Tom Yum soup and Tom Kha soup. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Staff also friendly. Pricing affordable. Only pity is red curry beef, a bit too hard to chew. The rest perfect.

My husband and I absolutely love dining here. We drive 2 hours because this is our favourite resturant. Atmosphere is amazing. Staff are lovely. Food is exceptional!

Great place to eat, food is fairly good and the service is fantastic. I recommend that you eat here but be clear about how spicy you want your food. Prices are comparable but if like Thai food, this is the in place to go.

If you love Thai food, this is a place you absolutely MUST visit. The restaurant looks like a temple, the food is the best I’ve ever eaten, the service is very personal. I simply can’t fault this place. I will be coming back of every opportunity I have. Such a great experience

I had a good experience dinning in this restaurant. The ambience was great. It’s a great place to eat mainly for its ambience. We had our reservation for the outside huts but due to the wind and cold weather at that time we requested to be seated inside, which was well accommodated by the staff. The food served was good value for money, a bit pricey but not too bad. I’m not very familiar or particular with Thai food but I did enjoy eating the food we ordered, and I could say my friends had the same experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a good Thai dining experience.

Dishes were fabulous. We had the crispy pork belly and chicken cashew. Whilst the pork was crispy due to being deep fried, there was no crackle. The chicken was awesome. Both meals were generous in size. Have eaten here many times and it’s a favourite.
