Best food and atmosphere. New name, new look...they are DEFINITELY still open...same owner, same staff and fab food, just no longer under the Montezumas name....a mere name change.... Their hard work and dedication continues....as it has for decades. Obviously old franchisor, Montezumas, is just bitter.

Still open new name same staff and great food. You can't beat it. Walk in and have a look. Very cool. Maybe Montezuma's forgot what makes a great restaurant they're peope and quality food?? Just saying......

This has been my family's go-to restaurant as far back as I can remember and it is always every bit as good as I remember. I bring dates here as I find it's a good way to gauge whether or not we have similar tastes. The quality is consistent and reliable - even the price of the nachos has hardly changed in 20 years! Staff are always friendly and the new location has freshened things up while keeping the classic Monty's feel.

When a resturant has been around for over 35 yrs and still open for business, you have to believe in it, and the food that Montezumas serves. I have not been there for about a year, and the very friendly staff recognised me and have for years. This place is rare. The food quality has not Changed,and is still a favorite to many local Gold Coast locals. There are rarely somethings you can rely on in life, especially when food outlets are concerned, but this place is definatly going to serve the local gold coast people for years to come.

First time I have been to this location. The food is good and consistent to other locations. Staff are really friendly and on the ball. I was a little disappointed that some of my food options we're not available, such as chicken and non-alcoholic sangria. However the alternatives offered to me I certainly not regrettable.

The staff were very friendly but we did have to wait a bit for our mains and had to ask two different people for water before we got some. The guacamole and corn chips were good and my partner felt her main meal was different but fine. Mine, however, was seriously some of the worst food I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten Mexican style meals at least a thousand times in my life—including economy class meals on Mexican Airline flights—and I would rank what I had at Montezuma’s in Burleigh Heads below all of it.

My extended family love this place. I am not a big fan of Mexican cuisine, but the meatballs were good, and Mexican beer is good. The lady who looked after us was par excellance.

We had a good meal, the table service was snappy. The menu is huge and a bit confusing, we would recommend the combination plates. The food was good and served really hot. The margaritas were great, the bar service was kind of awkward, I was lining up for drinks and my starter arrived. Modern classic California-ish Mexican. Solid 8/10. We will be back.

Best taco and corn chips during my visit in goal coast and Brisbane! Shop owner is sweet and helpful even on a busy Saturday night . Will surely go back again !

Amazing food & service always. Was able to fit us in last minute (2 pax, 7:30 sitting) 10/10 sangria & San Antonio nachos!

The worst nachos I have ever had. 1/2 serve prawn nacho dish. 9-10 corn chips on a bed (very small bed) of rice, sour cream chilli type sauce, 5-6 frozen prawns (heated). It was the most pathetic nachos dish I have eaten, and i didn't eat it. The dish looked like a plate of vomit, it was literally eating slop of spicy sour cream with overcooked cornchips. The service/manager/boss seemed to lack any care, most likely because he knows the food or least the dish I ordered was appalling. Guzman n Gomez franchise offers fresher options than this venue. Just don't is my recommendation. Apologies for the harsh yet honest critique, happens only on the rare occasion a restaurant is beyond a disappointment. The decor is nice, that's what drew us in.

Always go back and try montezumas for some reason but it’s never good. I wouldn’t give a restaurant one star but this is very close. If ordering through Uber eats it’s the slowest delivery place on the coast, which would be fine if the food was good - which it’s not. So it’s slow, doesn’t taste great but more expensive than other local Mexican places? I’d say the atmosphere is maybe the best thing about it….? Food and delivery is repeatedly bad, also overpriced.

Phoned up for takeaway, they answered and then left me on the phone for 16 mins. I could hear their personal conversions. I hung up and called straight back and the female takeaway staff member that answered was straight up rude and not helpful. I advised I would come in and order. When I arrived I asked for a takeaway menu as I wanted to check my large ordered. Again the female in the takeaway area was rude and said go outside and look at the menu board. I came back in and was ready to order and the same female staff member was handling food with her bare hands and taking orders. I did not order and walked out. I like Montezuma's but I would not recommend the Burleigh Heads store.

What a disgrace! I ordered my favourite meal that I always order when dining in, but went for takeaway instead, what I received was a very small cheap version but still paid for the dine in price. I would have had a better meal from a frozen TV dinner. Won't be eating here anymore.

We love montizumas! We usually have dine in and the service is always great same with the food! Tonight we decided to have takeaway as it’s cold. When I rang up the lady on the phone was so rude & when I went and collected my food the service was the exact same. She obviously hates her job and wants everyone to know about it !!! Bit of a let down as we do love monties

Everything good, just felt cramped, we had six in our group and I was at the end of the table and had to get up every time someone in our party needed a drink or go to the toilet, to be fair this was the only issue maybe best for a table for 2 down the far end plus the people beside us were very close to us as well, understand they want people in seats but to crowd in not a good experience.

Always loved Monty's, have been eating here since I was 10, food is always fresh, fast, hot and bloody delicious. Not to mention the amazing cocktails. Cool relaxed awesome vibe. Best Mexican restaurant on the coast..
