What a wonderful way to be able to relive childhood memories. From purchasing the tickets to the rides and exciting the park was just an easy and amazing day. The rides were amazing being able to use virtual queue, the stunt show and parade where definite highlights. It was just a shame that 2 of the main rides were closed and the whole Wild West section wasn’t open. It would of been nice to have been told this on time of buying the tickets and maybe reflected in the price. But definitely a great day out for the whole family. Ever minute of the day there is something to be seen so keep your eyes pealed.

It was great fun there with our family. However, be warned that the lines are very long at peak times such as school holidays. We really enjoyed the driving stunt show and Batman exhibit 🦇 The number of toilets should be included (especially parents🚽 room).

Unreal experience even as an adult! It's awesome how they have implemented virtual queues into most the rides it's not perfect it's an awesome idea in the right direction. You can also see which rides are out of action before you go, so that's really good to know too. The actors all did a really great job for the children and adults alike! Definitely worth spending the whole day!!

A theme park with fun for kids and adults. Can see cartoon characters and super heroes in person. The rides were all good. We need an entire day to try all the rides. Long wait hours in the queue for rides. Kids will have a good time.

Perfect place for a day out. Even if it is sunny, they have a plenty of covered areas. Very well organised and managed activities, parades and making sure everything is perfect. Everyone had a photo opportunity with the cartoons and characters. Our little one had a great time on rides and the parades. Definitely coming again after a few years. Plenty of food options and rides for adults too .

Fun place to visit with older kids. It is best to have a fast pass ticket, so that you can go on rides straight away instead of queuing for a few hours. However it will cost you heaps more. The close to the closing time may be a bit quieter as some families with young kids are leaving. The whole park has lovely atmosphere. It is good to check out some of the shows as well as roller coasters.

We had to wait for like 1hrs to get to rides which was a bit annoying for us. Rest of the other things were good. It is a good option to visit there with family specially kids as there are several Disney themed characters whom you can take picture with your kids and several kid friendly rides. There are several food stall and cafes but some of the cafes close around 3. Overall the experience was good except adult rides with its long queues.

Out of all theme parks in Australia, this is the only one which competes on an international level. The attention to detail with theming and maintenance are excellent. I loved the Marvel DC Rivals coaster! Everything was good and the atmosphere was great. However, the park needs expanding and some things could be improved. I can appreciate the impact Covid has had on theme parks, but a strategy to re-launch and new rides / attractions would go a long way.

Attractions are good. I went on a weekday in winter ant there were a lot of closed rides and the lines where long. Closing time is early (5 pm) so only managed to ride 4 rides, less than 1 per hour. The virtual queue doesn’t work perfectly (although it is a good idea), so be prepared to either get to the park as it opens or pay extra to skip the lines

Out of the three theme parks in Gold Coast , this is the best one. Park has a lot of attractions. Has a lot of rides and attractions. When we visited, a few of the best rides were closed. However beware of the long lines at the popular rides. We waited more than 1.5 hours for the joker and about 1 hour for superman. If you’re a thrill seeker, visit the superman and the joker ride. They are one of the best and fastest. The 4d movie is also great. Throughout the day there is movie characters visiting at the middle. The show at 4:30pm is good but short.

This place is hectic! It is my least favorite out of all the world's. Too many people, not enough space, extremely long wait times for rides and attractions. The virtual queue online wasn't working, sold out of fast track tickets. Plenty of rides that were closed, but rude to still charge full price for entry. They did have plenty of people dressed up in costumes, which the kids liked. The food prices were on par with the other world's. Sea world and dream world were better.

Movie world was my favourite theme park to attend out of all of them. It was an amazing experience. The rides were fun but a long wait without virtual waiting line. Overall great place to visit.

Look was great because not too busy, lines were short and the place was clean, facilities also clean. The disappointing thing was the number of rides that were not open. Parade was great, performances also great. My hilight was the young man who sang to us while we had a cuppa, he was brilliant and humble

better than other amusement parks in the area (sea world and dream world). It's so fun. great place to bring kids. If you're going to have fun yourself, definitely go childless and have a like-minded friend (mate)with you.(not wife)

I was so excited to visit again (last time was 2015), but came out quite disappointed. Was there open till close and was only able to ride Wild West Falls, Justice League and Road Runner Coaster. 7 and a half hours for 3 rides. The whole experience would be much more pleasant if Movie World actually limited the amount of admissions in a day. Lines for character photos were insane (and couldn't get many photos because we spent about 6 hrs of the day standing in ride lines). I have no idea how families with young children manage lines that long. Still, it was magical and the rides we did manage to get on were amazing. Heaps of shade in the main street and where most of the queues are. Plenty of food options of varying prices. Bonus points for the Warner Bros Batman showcase. It was awesome to see those iconic vehicles and costumes up close.

Excellent theme park lots of shows and rides, photo opportunities with characters and food shops of various styles and prices. Plenty of shady spots for those hot days and a small water spout play area for the little ones to enjoy in the Junior ride area. We have been each year and of course some rides close for maintenance or for construction of a new ride but that's good and it is mostly always advertised. We will keep visiting each year on our holiday because it's fun!

It's one of the best theme park around. All round fun for adults and kids. The buildings looks like out of movie set. The Local park Pass scheme is awesome. Good place to spend weekends. Would love to visit the park frequently. 👪🧑‍🤝‍🧑👭👬👩‍❤️‍👨

What can I say, having never been to the place over the few years I have visited the Gold Coast, I am sorry I never had a look earlier? This visit is a little disappointing, in that the park is running below par, due to Covid19 and recent outbreaks near the Queensland border? The crowd numbers are down, and a lot of the little shops and merchandising outlets were closed!! Despite this, the main attractions, the movie characters, and the cartoon characters, made up for a lot of hurt. Batman was cool as ever, Joker was, let's say: "just The Joker", Wonder Woman leaves any man breathless, she's gorgeous!!, Harley Quinn is Joker's little sidekick, Super Man & Super Girl, didn't see too much of them, Marilyn Monroe lookalike was excellent!! Then you have the cartoon characters, "Bugs Bunny and Girlfriend", Daffy Duck, and Tweety Bird. The kids have rides in the form of the single drop attraction, and the nerve wracking rollercoaster, that would make you lose your lunch for sure?? The days end parade, was a feast, for all ages. Children seeing the whole gamete of theme park characters, all in the one arena. Almost forgot to mention, the stunt car driving show, excellent for people who like the smell of burning rubber!! Overall, a wonderous day, and a must to come back to in the future CoVid19 free, and fully operational??

We went to this park as we researched and seemed the best one here. We were 4 adults only so my experience is from the adults point of view. We all found that the park was too small and there were not enough variety for adults. There are 3 nice roller coasters and a couple of 2 different things and that's it. We went on a Friday, pent 5 hours, and went in almost all adults rides. We all felt it was a bit overpriced for what you get. I still found it quiet fun though. Also, personally loved the superheroes/movie concept. My fav ride was probably superman. Not too scary but scary enough to give you a bit of a thrill. Park, if you read this, you need more water stations.

Always a great adventure at Movie World. The app is really good for getting on rides a bit quicker by using the virtual queue. Cost of food is ridiculously high for what you get... but the whole experience is excellent.

We are locals, though It had been a few years since we’ve purchased the village pass and been here. I was really impressed with the attentive staff and their attention to detail. They went above and beyond with the smaller things to make our day more enjoyable! The customer service staff were so helpful with a lack of shoe situation we were we facing! And the joker literally sat down on the concrete to get down on the same level as my shy little boy, had a chat with him about the flower Harley Quinn got for him. He stayed in character the whole time! Wonder-woman and cat-woman were the same, gentle with interacting with his shy nature. We had such a lovely day. Everyone we spoke to (ride operators too) so friendly! Looking forward to visit again.

An amazing place, we all loved it. Arrive early stay late, if you can, the queues are shorter later in the afternoon. Late in the day, some rides you hop off walk around to the start and get on the following ride. Great atmosphere at closing time. Love it.

Had a great time unfortunately ride wait times were ridiculous however we did go boxing day and the fast track tickets had sold out. A few rides shut down and then re opened a couple of rides were down to maitance. I recommend buying the fast track tickets and you can get to go on the rides a lot quicker with out waiting over 90 minutes. But all in all had a great day seeing the characters out and about

Great day out for the whole family. Tips. 1. Get a locals pass (if you can) or buy tickets in advance. 2. Get the village theme park app to get access to virtual queues. You'll definitely need that during peak season. 3. Bring sunscreen! 4. Have heaps of fun.

This amusement park was one of my favourite days out! There isn’t a bunch of rides however what there is are great rides. The option for a virtual queue also saved our trip so much and made it so much more of a relaxing visit. The characters are great fun to meet and the costumes were great. I definitely recommend visiting this place it is a great day out. I visited at the time of the Batman showcase which was also amazing to see :)

Friendly staff, great activities set up. We enjoyed the character dance and performance. We had lunch at the all you can eat buffet. We patted many animals. Took many pictures with Shaun the sheep and all his friends and the farmer. We found gems in the miner activity with lots of water splashing too cool off too. Highly recommend. We had the deal of 4 theme parks as the price of one for our Queensland visit. This one was one of them.

Definitely absolutely without even thinking twice grit your teeth and fork out the exorbitant cost of $179 on top of your admission price for the Fast Track One Shot. As the name implies…one ride on each of the 7 best rides jumping straight to the front of the normally hour or more long queues. If you don’t you’ll literally spend the entire day lining up for rides. We went in at 10.15am and there was already at least an hour or more wait on the two best rollercoasters. Definitely make the time to see the car stunt show. I think even people who aren’t really that into cars will appreciate the skills the drivers have operating in such confined space.

We were super excited for the experience, so we got there pretty early to avoid standing in long lines. I am really happy that we went because it was an experience that I will never forget. I am giving it a three start review because there were about 4 rides that were closed, and the amount of time we waited in the lines was a bit disappointing. It is definitely the place to go when you have small children, but as an adult, make sure the rides are mostly open for the entry fee to be justified.

My girlfriend and I had a lot of fun being here. The rides were very entertaining and the actors were very convincing and professional. The queue to the “Superman Escape”-ride was extremely long when we were there. The ride was really short, but fun. The entire atmosphere in the park was pretty good.

Planning the trip to movie world was one of the most fun things I’ve done in a while especially as a 28 year old. We spent hours at the park enjoying ourselves, going on most of the rides and eating well. I would definitely recommend this place for all the adrenaline junkies out there. Also, the staff were incredibly friendly.

As far as theme parks go in Australia this is definitely the best one. The new DC Rivals coaster is the best in Australia. Lines are long even in off peak (but still better than on peak!) so recommend getting a fast track in advance and utilising the virtual queues. Some of the rides are getting a bit old and raggedy but they are still good value and are enjoyable. The Batman Legacy exhibition is also a must see. The app is questionable, the tickets kept getting dropped off and sometimes virtual queue wouldn't work. Great idea but average execution. Souvenir shops are average, prices are fine but selection is only okay.

I think a lot has changed since covid? The stunt driver show is a lot "safer" so less exciting, I remember explosions? The dances on Middle St seemed shorter and different? The rides are still the same but I'm not coming here again during school holidays any more, did two rides and then everything full. I liked it better than Dreamworld though.

Absolutely love being transported into the imaginary world of fantasies, superheroes and the magic of Hollywood. Lots of beautifully detailed and elaborate reconstruction of environments, buildings and props to enjoy being immersed in. Lots of crazy and fun rides! Definitely a place of fun! The only complaint is definitely the wait times, especially the virtual queue - it's either closed or full all the time.

Had a very good experience here. People are friendly and helpful. There are just some rides that were closed at that time. For those planning, better to go early and buy pass tickets. Its worth it. The down side here are the foods offered, mostly are not cheap, but u can bring your own food, which is good.

Great rides, great for families with teenagers looking for thrills. The DC heroes parade is unique. I enjoy Batman's various costume from the movies. You can get a decent food and coffee as well and the price is still reasonable. Definitely will visit again the next time I go to Australia.

It’s really good with lots of attractions and rides. I went with my 7 years old son, he absolutely loved it. We did all kids rides and it was fun. You need whole day to enjoy and go to each rides and shows. The stunt show and roxy shows were amazing. If your child is a fan of superheroes and villains, this is the right place.

AMAZING theme park! Just gonna mention I'm 30yo and had the time of my life! It was very busy, the lines were long, but I found out that if you download the park's app then you can buy a 'skip the line' ticket for 20-30$ for each ride, or book a turn to one of the slides and come back when it's your turn (one at the time) so it's was fantastic! Paid a bit extra, and got the chance to ride all the cool rollercoasters and everything else. Definitely worth it. Another option is to purchase in advance a 'fast pass' online that costs 150$, but the app was enough for me. Also, LOVED the Batman Hall !

This was the busiest of the theme parks when we went. Excellent rides but some had lines up to 90minutes long. The superman coaster was the best of the day. Loved the atmosphere with all the characters dressed up and events throughout the day. Food was as expected (average) but there was a wide range on offer. Overall rated better than dreamworld.

The best theme park in Aus, kids love them, shows and cartoon characters, super heroes, 4D movies and rides, this park will keep you busy. But I have to mention the "White Christmas" the legendary event that normally sold out in a week. "Amazingly Beautiful" Dance, shows, parade, story telling, band, treasure hunt, artificial snow, non stop, absolutely stunning. If you miss the November white Christmas sale, worry not, there will be small amount of tickets available for purchase at the gate @3:30pm every day. Queue before 3:20pm to avoid disappointment.

Fun place to visit for the whole family Rides are fun but always something broken on the day waiting for maintenance Thankfully plenty of options to keep everyone happy Unfortunately the lines get very long and you spend most of the day just waiting in line, hence the four stars The shows are fun and so is the parade Recommend the annual pass

Overall a disappointing day especially for the money $500 for a family of 5. Got there before opening time at 9am. By midday we had achieved 3 rides. Queued up for Joker for an hour only to be told it had broken down. At least half the rides not working or closed for maintenance. Due to COVID restrictions rides restricted to 50/75% capacity. Green Lantern que took 80 mins. Very inconsistent application of COVID policies. Ie Corey who was monitoring the line for Justice League was overly efficient and 10 metres away in the que for Batman it was like battery chickens with zero oversight. No healthy food choices also a let down. Need to look at the product offering Warner Bros. Value for money seriously missing. Not good leaving anywhere feeling ripped off.

Had a fantastic day, ride operation staff were happy and very helpful, the only downer on the day was the staff in the shops. About 7 staff on duty in the Cafe', 5 of which were standing around doing two fifths of f-all and any discussions had with them (placing orders and in my case correcting a mistake with an order) was as if you had severely inconvenienced their day. Unfortunate given how awesome everything else was. Perhaps a little staff retraining is in order :)

Movieworld is probably the best themepark in Australia, so fun and full of action !! Safety is handled really well, and rides are super fun and thrilling! It’s really lovely to see a younger kids section in there as well, since most of the rides are super big. Love it !

Gold coast is the best place to head to if you need the adrenaline rush you get from the roller coaster rides. Movie world with superman, batman, wonder woman, looney tunes and many more dream characters charm makes your day perfect. Pump up your adrenaline with the various thrill roller coaster rides. The arkham asylum, the superman escape, the dc rivals hypercoaster, doomsday destroyer, the green lantern coaster are the rides which takes ur adrenaline to the highest levels. Truly thrilling and adrenaline pumping, these are the must try rides. Watch the hollywoond stuny driver shows. Do take a note of the show timing because some shows happen only once during the day. Plan your day in advance so that you dont miss on the important rides and shows. There is a separate kids area which is dedicated to kids ride. Its important to reach the park in time in order to finish all rides. Its a wonderful place for a day out.

We went during the DC villians vs heroes event took pictures with heaps of characters. If you don't mind a little waiting in line for rides they are all fun and very accessible too! Now I've lost my voice screaming my head off from the superman ride. Whoops

The rides were fantastic, seeing the people riding backwards on the hyper coaster was cool but nerve-racking! The staff are friendly and the toilets are clean.

Theme park based on wb movies. At the time we went only wheelchair accessible things to do were to watch the stunt driver 2 show. And the yogi bear 4d cinema. All other rides were not accessible to us so can't comment on them. Staff were friendly. Wear suncream! Very hot on the day we went.

The premier theme park to go to. Only bad thing is the waiting time. Great shows, food and rides are fun and entertaining.

  • 3/5 Abe P. 3 years ago on Google
It’s alright. For the price it’s not that good. Limited rides, long wait lines, the good thing was the friendly staff. Two of the rides we wanted to do was under maintenance.

  • 1/5 Cameron R. 3 years ago on Google
Very disappointing . Half the park was closed yet they still charged full price . Three of the major ride attractions were closed due to numbers being down , when you look forward to visiting for 12 months and then when you arrive and find out that half the park is closed its extremely disappointing.

Lots of fun. Family enjoyed thoroughly. Wild west Falls adventure ride was operational and exciting. Place was crowded and to my surprise 99% people were not wearing masks. It's always a fun visiting Movie world.

  • 3/5 Rick 3 years ago on Google
TLDR; "meh! go elsewhere". Pretty good fun, but not a whole lot going on for the price. Everything costs extra. No good food, just junk like $9 ice creams, $8 soft drinks, $15 hotdogs, etc. The street shows are underwhelming, short, dull. If you're looking for Instagram pics to show your friends you've 'been places' this is for you. If you're looking for a fun day out with friends or family, in a relaxed, clean environment go elsewhere. Most of the staff here are feed up with their jobs. They are clearly overworked, and under unionised, especially the ones that work in the sun all day without any shade. About half the rollercoasters didn't work on the days I went. The staff explained that was regularly the case, as management was more interested in taking cash than fixing stuff or providing a genuinely fun experience. I ate one of the foot long hotdogs, four hours later I feel really sick in the guts, can't be certain this is the cause, but pretty sure.

I have visited Movie World several times before and I have always loved it although my last visit was the best by far and that is all thanks to Robbie!!! We were lucky enough to be greeted on the way into the park by Robbie who was selling the ultimate experience pass, we were already going to purchase the fast pass which was $99 but after speaking with Robbie we decided to go with the ultimate experience pass priced at $120 as it was packed with extras and included a $15 food and beverage voucher. We are so glad we went with this option as Robbie made our day the best day EVER!!!!! Robbie showed us through the park, helped us with our fast pass, took us to great seats at the stunt show, gave us great tips for food and psyched us up for all the rides. We cannot thank Robbie enough (along with the help of Harrison, who was equally as great) for honestly making our day at Movie World so amazing and memorable!!! Thank you again Robbie for looking after the four of us and also for looking after my boyfriend most of the day who was too scared to go on rides with us. We will definitely be purchasing the ultimate experience package again on our next visit to Movie World!

MovieWorld, it's got to be awesome right? Well, not entirely. They run an unfair virtual queueing system, get the App & you'll see what I mean. Great rides are often offline so call first or risk disappointment. Due to Covid, many activities are either closed, missing or no longer operating. Also beware of extra costs incurred inside from ride options & memorabilia to food & drinks. Either way you should be able to enjoy your visit if you plan well. I recommend arriving later, after lunch, as the crowds disperse and the queues reduce making for a more enjoyable time. Have an awesome time!

  • 4/5 Kris R. 2 years ago on Google
If you like your roller coasters this is the theme park for you, very few types of other rides. Well played out for good flow of patrons, although the myriad of closed attractions did make for longer lineups for The ones that are open. Although the ticket price may seem steep, your better option is to purchase a multi-park or annual pass that is not much more and parts for itself with just one extra visit in the year. Also worth noting is the pricing of food, drinks and memorabilia actually being reasonably priced, I guess to make up for the entry price.

It's great for kids, but a lot of rides were closed. I'm glad we took our own food, but there are some options there. Stunt show is GREAT

So much fun! I haven't been here since school camp as a kid! I paid $130 for a general day pass lot sof different ticket options available though. You can buy a fast pass and skip the lines (highly recommend if you want to go on a lot of rides or if you have a time frame to abide by). I'm not sure what the lines are usually like but we went early in the morning (10am) and walked straight in. We didn't buy tickets in advance but if the lines are long I assume this would be a better option. If it's a sunny day, you'll need sunscreen and a hat! Lots of food options at reasonable prices. And lots of entertainment throughout the day. Fun for the whole family, kids or not!

  • 4/5 Rabeh D. 1 year ago on Google
Queues for the thrill rides were over 2 hours. Lots of technical issues with certain rides (Need to purchase the fast track for shorter queue time especially when school kids attend) but overall still enjoyed the place especially the Batman Exhibition.

This theme park is a blast with its exhilarating rides and immersive attractions! From adrenaline-pumping coasters to captivating shows, it offers a memorable experience. However, be prepared for the steep prices of food and drinks. While the quality is decent, the cost can add up quickly. Consider bringing snacks or opting for meal deals to save some cash. Despite the pricey dining options, this theme park still deserves four stars for its fantastic entertainment value! Highly Recommend great for any ages!

5/5 All levels of rides. I enjoyed the kids' ones because i am not a dare devil. If you have kids, start from the right side of the entrance so your kids can enjoy all the rides. Lot of food options and a lot of live shows. I heard you can get in the queue through an online app so you don't have to stand in line forever, so check with the information office about the app and enjoy all rides by not getting in line.

  • 5/5 azuryx. 9 months ago on Google
Amazing place with so many rides. I had a great time there but definitely recommend downloading the theme park app when going there. With this app you can see wait times for queues and when shows begin. There is a variety of food options, with the only problem being many rides closed off or not available for the day. Buy tickets in advance.

  • 5/5 Kris G. 9 months ago on Google
Had the best time here. I've been a few times but this time was phenomenal. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the voice overs in all the shows. The stunt show has a lot of voice over work and it's clear as day. That needs a real good shake up. Other than that, everything was all good.

  • 4/5 Ben L. 9 months ago on Google
Good place for the kids to experience. Tickets are expensive but it's worth it. Best to come on non school holidays or you'll be lining up at least 1hr or more for rides. We came during school holidays and it was packed. If you have more time I recommend to get a 3 park pass. It's cheaper to do it that way.

  • 5/5 Lauren H. 10 months ago on Google
A couple of rides closed for maintenance, but it didn't take away from all the fun we had here. Even my 8 year old wasn't tall enough for the big rides, but we easily moved on to what he could go on, we loved the street party at the end, it was a perfect send off! My kids' ages are 6, 8, 10, and 11, and it was perfect for them all, we will come back again before we leave.

  • 4/5 Randy N. 8 months ago on Google
WB movie world is alright. Nothing too fantastic about it. It’s quite small so you can complete everything in a day. They also have the virtual queue system which allows you to queue virtually in the app until your turn is up (1 ride at a time though). As usual, food is generally expensive in the theme park. It also ends early at 5, with the lady parade at 3:30! Probably the earliest closing time for a theme park in the world!

  • 5/5 Ian T. 7 months ago on Google
Just WOW what a fun day. The rides were awesome and the whole atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The staff were happy and friendly. The wait times for the rides was fine but if your in a hurry I'd suggest you buy the fast track tickets to jump the (short) ques. My favorite ride was the Superman Rollercoaster, dang its fast.

  • 3/5 Roger M. 7 months ago on Google
Movie World is a well established world-class facility, but you have to know what interests you before booking to see if it's for you and your family. I booked a 1 day pass for adult, child and a photo package directly through their mobile app for A$250, and arrived there around 1015am just after the rides opened for the day at 10:00am. We had a focus on roller coaster rides. Easy to find, easy parking, and with prepaid entry no queue to wait to get in. However, at 12:00 p.m., we still hadn't managed to actually get on a ride. Our first queue was DC Rivals, where we waited for over 1 hour, inching our way to the front, only to be told the ride had a defect and was closed for an unknown length of time. After waiting for another 15 mins, hopeful for a fix, we abandoned the queue and went to the Superman Escape where it took 1 hour 20 mins to get on the ride. We used the village roadshow mobile app to reserve a slot for a second ride on Superman Escape which took 2 hours to wait for the slot, and then in an effort to get on DC Rivals we paid $60 for an instant ride as couldn't stomach waiting another 1.5 hours (queue by mid afternoon was enormously long). We went on the log ride during the 3:30pm street carnival to avoid the queues, saw the 4d Scooby-Doo movie at 4:00pm and managed to get a ride on the Batwing Spaceshot (15 min wait) and the Justice League 3d (15 min wait) before leaving the park before 5:00pm closing. Outdoor rides close whenever there is lightning in the area, which happened several times whilst we were there for the day, and there were several rides closed for maintenance. All in all, 2 decent roller coaster rides, 3 average rides (log ride, batwing and justice league), and a couple of average shows for the day at a cost of A$310 + food/drink for 1 adult and 1 child.

Great place to come for the day for the young and old. Wide ranges to go on for all ages. Not all rides were open the day I went as were they were closed for maintenance. ell worth the visit. Never get bored of visiting here.

A great family day out. Highly recommend purchasing tickets online first to save time and $. Also check online which rides are working to avoid disappointment. In high peak times and if you can afford the extra price, grab a fast pass to skip the long lines. Loved the addition of seeing the talented local band Sheppard live.

  • 5/5 Priyanka K. 6 months ago on Google
I had an amazing time at Movie World Gold Coast! Despite the rainy weather, the experience was fantastic. There were plenty of shows to watch, and the rides were thrilling. The Sheppard's live show was the cherry on top, making it a memorable visit every time.

  • 4/5 Lyn R. 6 months ago on Google
Went twice over holidays. An enjoyable day both times. For younger kids the waiting times are reasonable. For teens and adults you need to allow enough time to queue up if you want to experience a few rides. Hot weather but plenty of shade, water bubblers and benches to sit. There are drink refill stations meant for people who paid for theme park water bottles but they were accessible and used by anyone who had water bottles or cups of their own - ice, water and various soft drinks. Food and clothing souvenirs expensive as expected although 2 beach towels for $35 is pretty reasonable and the movie world carry bags at $3 are a souvenir themselves. Certainly not a cheap outing so to get your money's worth you should plan to be there most of the day.

  • 3/5 Carl B. 5 months ago on Google
What's happening here. 1+ hour waits in line for rides, rides always closed, even in between ride I seen staff just chatting while the line continues to grow. I seen several empty cars/karts go through without and passangers, im sure there was a reason, but why. It's been 10 years since I'd last been, and this was the first trip we took as a family with the kids. Hey, when you get on the rides, they are awesome full of thrills. The shows (the stunt show & parades) fantastic, the characters that get around awesome, the kids love them. 70% of the general staff were good. I love the free drink refill idea. it should be the same with the popcorn. I hated the FT lanes, just because some people have money they get to S#!t on the rest of us, have the FT on weekends or PH not when the average family is trying to have a holiday and save money on non school holidays. We will come back, maybe it's just that times are changing and things are busier than ever before, but I find it hard to spend the whole day waiting to get on 4 rides.

  • 3/5 Kahlia L. 5 months ago on Google
Awesome experience with my family. The kids had so much fun in the kids area & on the rides. Lots of fun characters. The stunt show was worth the watch & the parade. Rollercoasters were out of this world! Incredibly fun! Wait times were ridiculous, so we only got the ride on two rollercoasters for the whole day unfortunately.

  • 4/5 Robyn W. 6 months ago on Google
Really good fun and not too busy, the longest we waited for a ride was 90mins, has a fun atmosphere and good food. Unfortunately there were three ride closures while we were there, but staff at customer service were great and gave us free fast passes for other rides as soon as we spoke to them.

  • 5/5 Catherine R. 5 months ago on Google
We had a great day out, and as usual, we were one of the last to leave. We can't thank Jessica from Guest Services enough for making our daughters birthday a very special day. Lily was really looked after, with the characters wishing her a happy birthday and making her feel special. Some rides were closed, but they were advertised at the front gate. There were also lots of other rides open, so closures didn't worry us.

  • 4/5 Aaron W. 5 months ago on Google
Absolutely lovely! Super fun and great rides although ensure you look at closures because you may miss some rides. Other than that if you don’t have fun that is your fault. Buy tickets in Advanced online, and if you’re going on weekends or any day it may be worth buying an express… otherwise ensure you spend the entire day there.

  • 4/5 Rodrigo Peralta S. 5 months ago on Google
Thrilling experience, had lots of fun with friends. Not giving 5 stars because: - extremely long waits (60min or more) for some attractions, - several attractions out of order (some went out of order while doing the line!) - very limited vegan options for lunch or brunch

  • 4/5 Vishal M. 4 months ago on Google
Good experience overall. All the rollercoaster were really good and thrilling. However the park lacked user friendliness starting with not having a paper map of the park with all the information in it. Thou they have digitalised it but the ease of access that a physical map provides really helps a lot. Also there could have been more signboards to help navigate around. Apart from that had a really nice day and enjoyed throughout. Good place for kids as they have a whole specific dedicated area for kids and they just love it.

  • 5/5 Lord J. 4 months ago on Google
Staff was really nice, was a great experience. Went there last march, apparently my review wasn’t posted then. Was like a blast from the past, back when i was a kid. Great experience. The only think they need to work on is more food choices, but all in all it was really nice.

  • 4/5 Ryan W. 4 months ago on Google
Movie World was alright. There is a lacklustre of rides and over abundance of gift shops, the majority of which sell the same products. Despite all this, the Inner City 500 show was amazing. Missed out on the 4D cinema since we weren't allowed to bring in our souvenir cups. Bought a few adorable keychains and magnets. Overall, Movie World is more enjoyable as a child since time feels quicker and waiting in those enormous lines zoom by, but as an adult, I dread waiting in lines.. Still recommend you go visit if you haven't before.
