This place was amazing.. we got there about 10.15am and we were still able to get a park easily and everything is well signed and you can get a beautiful view of the Falls from the top almost immediately and then it was an easy hike down to the bottom and we spent quite awhile there.. it was magic. Then another pretty easy hike back up the other side (45 minutes total walking time) there is a sign at the beginning that tells you to walk clockwise otherwise you will have like 400+ stairs to walk up on the way out ๐Ÿ˜ณ but honestly can't think of anything bad... they had toilets and heaps of picnic tables/ BBQs and grassy spots to sit or play. We had a fantastic day ๐Ÿ˜€

Had great weather to explore this amazing Waterfall. The stairs can be a challenge if you are not ready for them but completely worth the effort. Looking up at the Purling Brook Falls from the bottom is just breath-taking, there was even people swimming in the bottom of the falls. We did not take our swimmers. Take comfy shoes and plenty of water and enjoy the views.

Lovely, especially after a big rain. Don't just go to the two lookouts. One of my favourite walks, ensure to walk the beautiful circuit clockwise as there are more stairs to climb coming up anticlockwise. Not too difficult. If you found my review helpful, please click๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผon my review ๐Ÿ™‚

Have now hiked this a number of times and never disappoints. Is only an hour and 45 from Brisbane and if you get here after the rain the falls are usually epic. An easy hike overall and if you do counter-clockwise you get a good stair workout at the end ;)

This walk is one big circle with some great viewing platforms. I started walking from the left as suggested however I believe beginning from the right doing the circle had better views of the falls. If you just want a short walk to view Purling Brook Falls, walk approx 350m to the right first to view the water fall from the top and then go back and walk left approx 350m to view the falls from the main viewing platform.

This is massive!!if you walk down there for 35min you can see the gorgeous water falls. We didnโ€™t do circuit course. We just went to the falls and came back. It took around 1hr for return. Pretty easy tracking.

A really lovely walk. We did the 4km circuit in just under 2 hours with a couple of teenagers. Once you get to the bottom you will see why it's worth the walk. It's not too steep so anyone with average fitness should be able to do it.

It is little piece of heaven on Earth. Amazing 1 hour and 15 minutes circuit of hiking. Offers great views. Ample car park on the top from where you start hike and had 2 view points, one of each side of waterfall. A must visit.

This was one of the best tracks that we have done so far. Itโ€™s about 4km return and takes around 2hours to get to the circuit. But totally worth it for the spectacular view down there. Itโ€™s about 6km return if you need to visit the Warringa pool circuit. Prepare yourself for a muddy, slippery track if it rains. Plenty of parking available. โœŒ๏ธ

Beautiful walk, not too difficult. Took me about 2hrs to do including the Warringa pool track, I think it's around 9km all up. I went early on Tuesday morning and didn't see any other people at all. The waterfall is really pumping after the rain.

Lots of shaded parking. There is a 4km loop track, but you can just go to the two Purling Brook falls lookouts and do them both in about half an hour and that's perfect. We went to the nearby tanninaba falls and it wasn't worth the time.

Great Place for everyone. Picnic grounds all around with BBQ Areas. Amazing hiking opportunities with stunning views. Highlights are some water pools and a walk behind the waterfall

This was a great walk that is not too challenging. Was a little disappointed that you can no longer go behind the falls anymore due to what looks like a collapse at some time. Highly recommend to do the circuit so you can experience the falls from the top and the bottom. Take a bbq lunch as there are lots of bbq's and seating available.

Highly recommend this hike. As someone who grew up locally, Purling Brook falls is honestly one of the harder hikes to do in terms of reaching the waterfall base, but it's worth the trip. The trail meanders through stunning nature, allowing you to take in the diverse native subtropical flora and maybe even a sighting of a few birds, blue tongue lizards or land mullets! You get gorgeous views over the range and there's periodic watering holes filled with fresh, cool mountain water to keep you feeling comfortable on your trek. I'd highly recommend this hike for anyone looking at experiencing quintessential Gold Coast Hinterland natural beauty.

Nice easy hike through a beautiful forest. Great view from the look out. Bush Turkeys are around the park. We saw a large one and half meter python at the look out, very cool. Plenty of parking and not very busy, which was nice. Worth a visit.

The most magnetic waterfall I have seen so far. There are trees on the path which I would estimate to be 40+ meters tall and hundreds of years old. Two main tracks, a 2 hour and a 6 hour loop. Very well maintained, signed and almost fully paved by rocks. There are toilets at the trail heads and some picnic seats and spots. Plenty of parking if you're early.

Absolutely amazing experience! Even when it was raining, we stayed in, played games and had a fire inside. If youโ€™re looking for the perfect weekend away to unwind and disconnect this is the place! The markets were beautiful and a stunning little girl who was only 10 was singing! The fudge shop is to die for! The coffee at all places up there is incredible. We stayed in a little Yurt, and it was an unforgettable experience

We stumbled across this spectacular location today, after visiting the Natural Arch. I've seen some falls, and vista's in my time, but this place beats them all. If the view of the falls isn't enough, the valley's expance across ancient forest is mind blowing... we didn't walk the 2 hr loop track, only cheating to glimpse the falls, but have vowed to return one day to complete the trip.

Great little hike around the waterfall Not hard, fairly consistent gradient Plenty of picture opportunities especially around golden hour If you are a macro shooter, this is a heaven for you.

We caught a beautiful view of the Purling Brook Falls from the Western look-out point. Otherwise, all other walk/trails/look-out points are closed when we were there today 7th Mar 2023. They are probably still recovering from the floods in Sep 2022. Wished there were more information about this on the government website.

One of the many waterfalls in springbrook national park. There is a very big open space carpark out there. From the entrance to the waterfalls will take you about 50mins walking, by normal walking speed. But the view is worth it. There is a very beautiful waterfall down there. There is a track beyond that but it is closed so I have no chance to explore that. Overall it is not a very difficult walk and it is suitable for kids and adult. Worth a visit

Mixed bag, really. We walked to waterfall, coming back other way. Total distance ~ 9.5 km Dislikes: Some work going on nearby, noise of saws and putrid exhaust fumes present on trail. You may feel unsafe in quite few spots - narrow trail, no barriers from sharp falling terrain. I definitely don't advise taking young kids with you. Some stone steps rather difficult to negotiate, no hand rails, steep. Tripping hazards all the way, plenty of palm seeds in places, making it easy to sleep, too. And... public toilet near carpark in really bad shape, putrid smell around it so bad, we actually moved our car away ๐Ÿฅด Likes: Glorious views, beautiful natural spot - we don't regret driving there from Brisbane, quite an experience. People in nearby cafe really friendly, great coffee. Overall - not for kids or seniors, we are in late 60s and our old joints took a beating ๐Ÿคช but we are glad we could see it.

A spectacular view atop a magnificent waterfall. Hiking to the bottom leads to the base of the waterfall and along the creek for an enjoyable day hike. But remember... after you hike down, you have to hike all the way back up!

This place is absolutely gorgeous, if you want to feel like you are in another world Purling Book falls is well worth the visit. It's about 35 to 40min to the falls with a bit of pace and about the same coming back up. I got there about 7am on a Saturday morning and was the first person there, I did not see anyone else until I was walking back up at about 9am, the carpark was almost full by then.

Great to visit after rains. Be prepared for the mud though.

  • 5/5 Karley R. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely view from both lookouts. I went on a rainy day - the walk path can be very slippery when walking to the 300m lookout point though they do have rails. Lovely and peaceful to have the views and calmness of the national park

Amazing walk. Medium walk. We did the 2 hours walk. And the scenery was beautiful ๐Ÿ˜. Especially the waterfall.
