Thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours, got lots of great photos. Cafe and toilet fit out is superb, park based around a number of water features. Parking is excellent, big parking sites. (large vehicle owner) mangrove walk is impressive structure. The walk around the outside of park along river is pleasant and private.

Took me and my partner one hour to explore the whole place with no talks or shows, stopped at each enclosure at a leisurely pace. We entered at 2.30pm, finished at 3.30 and did another half lap. A lot of work needs to be done due to flooding but still a great outing and saw more animals on the way back because of the timing I reckon and how quiet it was. A worthwhile relaxing experience for people who have busy lifestyles. Animals are very cute especially the Bilby and hopping mice in my opinion! 😆 Dingoes were howling waiting to be walked so that was awesome. happy to have supported at a difficult time 💚

Well looked after but unfortunately some of the exhibits where under reconstruction so there where no kangaroos and only 1 kola. Plenty of birds and ducks. The nocturnal animals are always good to see they where very active. Staff are very friendly

Hidden gem. Take a relaxing stroll around the shaddy park. Even in school holidays it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The talks are plentiful and informative..The staff are happy to answer your children's most inane questions. Bring a picnic, relax and enjoy!

Was lovely and quiet, a few exhibits closed for upgrade but still quite a few different animals to see. The bird show was great and our son loved the nocturnal animals. We didn't pay to go in, due to the work they are doing, however they do ask for a $5 donation. We were very happy to give it! Definitely recommend a visit 😊

My husband and I had a great time looking around, we went in the afternoon and it was so nice and quiet! the bird and cassowary shows we were there for were great and we even got the chance to feed the male cassowary. The staff were lovely and were more than happy to tell us anything we wished to know about the animals. I specifically went to see Wally the platypus and was so happy that he seemed to enjoy putting on a show for everyone who came to see him. Unfortunately the kangaroo section was closed but hopefully we will be able to see them next time

We enjoyed our time here. It’s about half the price of Currumbin Sanctuary up the road and that’s probably a fair indicator for what you’re in for. Loved seeing the tree kangaroos, koalas, reptiles, and birds of prey. The park is on the smaller side — we spent about an hour here. Definitely due for a good tidy up, new signage etc.

Visited this beautiful little park today and was very pleasantly surprised. The grounds were beautiful, the park very well maintained and all the staff that we interacted with (rangers, ground staff and cafe workers) were super friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the croc talk and cassowary talks presented by one of the lovely rangers (Kayla I think her name was), it was obvious that all the staff really were passionate about the animals in their care. Additionally, many of the animals seemed to be exhibiting lots of natural behaviours, but maybe we were just lucky with this! We also enjoyed walking through the mangroves adjacent to the park. We spend about 3.5 hours here.

Awesome day out with the kids. Park is looking great, visited 11am-2pm not many people there, not sure why as the kids absolutely loved this place, new cafe recently opened, limited menu so far but was told will be expanding soon. Park is not too big so kids don't get tired walking around all day, but plenty to see.

It was a very poorly maintained property. There really wasn't too much to see and compared to Australia Zoo had very few animals to see. The Cafe was average, however the only highlight was the bird show . Needs more money spent on it to improve the facilities and have more animals to see. They were doing groundworks however they weren't finished when we visited.

Lovely wildlife park, ample space and beautiful enclosures. Informative and friendly staff we got to feed some of the animals. The crocs and platypus were our favourites. There is also a lovely cafe area witb lots of seating. The only suggestion would be to provide a play park area for toddlers and older children.

This wildlife park is a good size for spending a few hours. You can see it all in around 2 hours. However, if you wish to make a day of it there are plenty of seats spread throughout the park where you can sit and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere there. There are a number of talks throughout the day all worh attending. Walking around is easy as the footpaths are fairly flat. Plenty of room foe wheelchair access as well

This felt like a work in progress. It is a lovely setting among the bush, and within the park it feels pretty "natural". But, not many animals to see, and large parts were "coming soon" or "under construction". It has great potential though.

Wonderful smaller place for the little ones to wander around. A much more personal bird show due to the smaller size. You can tell the rangers really care for the animals. Great experience for the price. Can’t wait for the park to become abit more developed.

As a local I found it quite disappointing. Park itself is nice and the staff friendly, but the animal content leaves a lot to be desired. We saw one dingo, one emu, one koala, one platypus, and felt sorry for the animals. Hopefully they all had companions who weren't there at the time. Would probably be good for tourists who don't have a lot of time and want to see some native animals in a flying visit, but if you have more time I'd recommend looking at other options.

This was our first visit to David Fleay Wildlife Park and what a delightful surprise. It's a small, serine,well-run Wildlife Park with a non-commercial atmosphere. Such a privilege to see the shy, almost extinct, bridled nailtail wallaby here. We appreciated the pram-friendly raised broadwalks all along the large mangrove forest. A highlight was spotting an Azure Kingfisher on our walk. I bought a season entry ticket, knowing I'd like to return, often, to this tranquility.

Alot of the park was closed off cafe closed. But we did get discounted entry thank goodness. Still abit to see but was done within a hour. Abit dated needs a good clean up. But still nice to see Australian wildlife

If you're a local with k8ds under 12, buy an annual pass (~$130 for 2adults + 2kids) , pop in for an hour or so & enjoy the relative peace & quiet. Take in a show and even better lets the kids actually talk to the experts, whom will attentively listen and answer their random questions. Apparently crocodiles haven't mated with birds, but yes it would be terrifying if they did and yes they would swoop down & eat dad because he's rolling his eyes. It's not a big place (you'll see it all in an hour or so), but it is quiet, you do get up close.. there's often koala's a few meters away snoozing in a tree.. it'll be better in Feb/Mar when the works are finished, so the crocodiles can come back, and the cafe is open again. Again if you're a local, buy a pass and use it as an escape from the house, meet up with some friends, take a picnic

It was quite inspiring to learn about the life and work of Dr. David Fleay. The park itself is a lovely place. However, it is not that well maintained, perhaps due to lack of funding. I watched 2 shows, the birds show and the crocodile show. They were well conducted, and the volunteers were quite knowledgeable on their respective subjects. It is a nice place to go for a walk. However, there isn't much to see. There is a cafe close to the entrance, but with rather limited vegetarian/ vegan options. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. There is a free car park which is wheelchair accessible.

Such a cool little out of the way place. Not as full on as Currumbin or Loan Pine, significantly cheaper too. Really nice spot, lots of shady trees and awesome staff.

My family visited January 11,2023. We love seeing animals and this wild life park cares about the animals. It is small but very interactive. The staff are willing to answer any questions and provide back stories about the animals. It was a very enjoyable visit.

We had a lovely day visiting the park recently with some little ones. The grounds are well set out and peaceful to walk around and the paths very good for a stroller. The little ones enjoyed seeing the animals. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the shade of some trees. All the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed watching the reptile and bird shows. It was a great, inexpensive day out.

It's a lot quieter on a weekday. It rained heavily when we went and they still were able to put on their 1pm bird/reptile showing which was lovely.

We loved spending the day at the wildlife park. It was great for prams as the entire place has board walks. The shows were excellent, as the rangers shared their knowledge with the visitors. We will definitely be back.

Poor value for money. So many exhibits closed and very few interesting animals actually in their enclosures. Cost $70 for a family of 4 and we were through in about half an hour. It has great potential and the wetlands and bush lands are so pretty but with so much competition locally they need to pick it up to compete. Also they don’t accept cash and the restaurant is really overpriced.

Great little park to see Australian wildlife - plenty of walking tracks surrounding as well. Disability friendly. Upgrades being done and not all animals were there but was very interesting seeing the ones that were.

Loved our stroll around the park very relaxing. This is a nice place to take the kids for a look at some of our beautiful wildlife. Just hope that when it comes time to be checking the check-in app to see who is vaccinated, that you have more then just one person on the front desk, as I certainly wouldn't like to be the only staff member if they come up against some aggressive customers who want to be allowed in but refused, the staff definitely need someone else there or very nearby, as no doubt there will be times when there will be some not so nice irrate customers to deal with.

A few things under construction so it’s free entry for a bit, really knowledgeable park rangers.

This review was made in April 2023 after 2 visits. So note that things might have changed later in the future when you read this. This place has a great natural environment for the animals. Reason for 3 star is because some of the cages had no animal in them and no reason was given as to why they were empty. The last time I visited, they had more crocs, but now, not that many. Was happy to see the platypus

Great little spot for a family visit. They have a good selection of Australian wildlife on display. Prices are more than reasonable for what is on offer. I would recommend better signage in the exhibits that don't have animals in them and some tips on how to spot some of the smaller animals. It wasn't busy too busy when I went and the bird show was informative and fun!

The staff were outstanding. Very cheerful and happy to share their time and knowledge. Really seem to love their job. Each handler talk is really worth experiencing. We spent time with the emu handler and it was great. The park is small, but feels like you are in the natural Australian bush setting. The park was so clean and tidy. Wear insect repellant in summer.
