A lovely spot for a day at the beach. The water is calm, there's plenty of space to set up and parking is okay. My only wish is that the toilets were closer, rather than across the road in the park.

Was in Currumbin for about a week - Perfect spot for a home base as we traveled up and down the coast a bit. Would walk on the beach and go for a swim early in the morning, go to some of the parks and attractions during the day, and come back to watch Big Bash Cricket and drink in the evening! Warm water and good surf here, and the beach wasn't overly busy either. Actually spent New Year's Eve 2017 lying on this beach. One of the best nights honestly, we just lay there looking at the stars, drinking beers, and listening to music (not to mention the waves!). Hit a few of the cafes along the beach, all very nice. Also went for dinner at the Vikings Surf Club one night. Had some gigantic seafood platter (and a few drinks of course) which wasn't bad. One thing to note is that a few times a day the planes fly like right over your head on their way to the Gold Coast airport, but it wasn't that annoying.

Beautiful huge beach

Absolutely love Currumbin Alley. Perfect spot to bring children as there are no waves.

This section of the coast has it all. Lovely beach, calmer water (so paddle boarding is pleasant or just taking a dip), plenty of space so you don't have strangers sitting in your pocket. If you don't get much sun usually take some kind of shelter / beach umbrella as there's minimal shade. Showers nearby too which was convenient for cleaning up and a change. Parking is limited so either be prepared for a long walk or find another way of getting there. Great beach.
