Truly a nature gem right in the city. Worth a detour. I went at about 12pm during the week and did not see anyone else, so peaceful.

Unfold a table cloth, get your portable gas cooker, and cook up garlic prawns while overlooking the water.. add a packet of your pre mixed salad and a wine.. That's what I'd call a chilked arvo. There are also electric BBQS.

Have attended many Memorials Services here. A very nice setup for a Park with plenty of grassland for relief to the Madding Crowd of every day stress and strain. Several Military Memorials add to the chance for Reflection and Memorial contemplation. A very nice retreat in the Hurly Burly of Gold Coast life.

Nice to take a rest. Very calm , peaceful, and fresh air. There are many of birds here so that you can hear many of varieties sounds here. Also you can see the wild bat here. Thanks to Australian military who joined Korean war and we can see here the memorial. We will never forget about it.

Nice place to escape the city noise. There’s a section that’s like an oasis for butterflies - like being in the butterfly house at the zoo, because they just flutter around you. I was expecting to see a greater variety of flowering plants.

Cascade Gardens, another beautiful park on the Gold Coast to visit with family and friends. Located off the Gold Coast Highway at Broadbeach. There is a gazebo in the middle of the circular lawn, and at a distance are the restrooms on the circle. There are picnic areas with seating on the riverside, and a playground. The Seniors Garden area is lovely too with adequate park benches and a gazebo for shade. Great spot to meet with family and friends for a quiet afternoon picnic.🥐🥖🧀🫒🥒🍅🍉🌭🥗🍤🍡🦐🥧🧃🍽

Cool go see the flying foxes are still living there although the population seems much smaller than it was over 10 years ago. Nice war memorials, senior gardens and view of the canal. Nice green space, wish the walk was longer and more to explore.

What a great place for all ages groups...so much to see and do. We had a walk around the lake, then a BBQ then a browse along the incredible war memorial. Can't wait to take my grandchildren as they will love it.

Beautiful park and gardens, pavilions, playgrounds, big pond and free parking... As usual for Gold Coast Council, very well kept grounds and public restrooms.

When is the Gold Coast council going to restore the cascade waterfalls in the park? When I was kid, this was a lovely place with all the flowing water. However, I visited about 10 years ago and the fountains don't flow and are falling apart. It is called Cascade Gardens because of the Cascades!

Nice place to get away from the city traffic and just chill out for a few hours, plenty of park ground to explore or throw a line in and go fishing.

Update 20 Nov 2021, there is new garden called Seniors Garden, there are many beautiful garden attractions mostly dedicated to Dementia Australia from Cedar House Mudgeeraba , I am very impressed with this new addition. I have been here about 11 times mostly passing through on my bike. It’s such an interesting park it’s multi purpose firstly a war memorial so some great history it view, secondly it’s home to the largest bat colony’s on the Gold Coast and lastly it’s a beautiful manicured garden with a huge variety of flowers also there is about 6 Barbecue s and riverside seating as well as a lush forest walk all in one small area... right in the city, so cool. Plenty of parking or you can just ride your bike or better walk so you miss nothing , bring your camera.
