Recently passed through Ballina can't go past a surf shop with out having a look. It had everything. Had some local brand boards but more an accessories/ clothing shop. Nearly did all my Chrissy shopping in the one shop. The big guy running the place was full of helpful suggestions. We also had an awesome chat about the old days in the area. After I drilled him on his knowledge of the area he showed me a very cool photo. He was about 2 standing at Wategoes Beach holding his grandparents hand. Not a house in sight, it was a Banana Plantation back then. His Grandparents Plantation! Their name? Wategoe! Yeah! I was talking to a descendant of the Wategoe family. Made my day. Cool guy, cool shop. I'll be back.

Great shop with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Vic helped me picking out my new bodyboard, answering my novice questions with patience and an obvious passion for what he does. Look no further in Ballina for a surf shop. Highly recommended.

I’m not sure what his name was but the staff member was incredible - helped me pick out a board (and matching hat and also zinc and wax tips and a leg rope) for 40min. I can’t wait to get better at surfing so I can get my next board from him. Honestly have been raving to everyone after many failed attempts to find a good board on marketplace, this shop was just incredible and i got the help I needed.

Staff are always happy to assist me when buying for myself and others. Great knowledge of boards and made me feel Comfortable when I had to purchase a board for my child and was asking silly questions! Clothes selection is minimal but is still fantastic and some great local brands too. Has all the commodities of a local ,including the happy and relaxed vibe. Service wins in this store,makes me return.

The team at Ballina Surf are ever so helpful and always super friendly. Their local knowledge is second to none and their prices are always competitive. I always like to support local business instead of corporate stores and the quality of the service and wide range of products make it super easy to support them.
