What can I say? Probably the best Thai restaurant in Brisbane! Seriously good food Not only that service is spot on too. Could not fault anything & this is second visit. This visit my order was a prawn dish, lots of fat succulent prawns in a spicy sauce with vegetables in a rich coconut sauce just beautiful, what more can I say ? Thanks guys we will be back!! Update...third visit & have to take the star rating down from 5 to 4. Don't know if they changed management? Food was not as good this time

The Satay Skewers were both delicious and tender. Recommend the Panang Curry. I wasn't wild about the Pad Thai but it was tasty

4 stars for the food, overall it's good but not impressive. But I don't like their tricky way to make you order online. I was asked to scan the code put on my table, which at first I thought it was only to view the menu. I soon realized it was an ordering system, and before I could check out I needed to fill in a lot of info, including name, email, whether to create new account, whether to receive marketing emails etc. They only accept credit card, plus credit card surcharge. However, right after I had done this I was shocked to notice the table behind me still paid in counter, with cash (they also gave discounts on cash payment). When I finished my meal, I found some paper menu outside their door, with $2 cheaper than what I saw online.

Horrible restraunt ordered there for the second time this year over the phone for a pick up order. They said it'd be 35 minutes, I wait 40 minutes out the front of the store. I finally go in and ask to pick up my order. All the staff looked at each other confused, then one walked to the kitchen and back and tells me there must have been something wrong with the system and that my order wasn't even placed. I'm then told I can still re order what I've ordered but I'd have to wait the 35 minutes again. Not with any discount or apologies. Putrid place and service.

We were looking for a resto to dine in in East Brisbane, we googled it and found Banana Leaf. Went there to have dinner for the first time with wife and friends. Though it was quite late, they were still willing to take our orders. Didn't regret to come to this place. Place is comfy enough to have dinner and wide range of thai food on the menu. Ordered pad thai, masaman curry, duck curry, and tom yum. The pad thai and the duck curry were awesome. Definitely worth to try!! the only minus I could find was the white rice, it was too soft to our likeness. But apart from that, we had a good time to dine in this place.

Great range of thai dishes and sides. Friendly service and very helpful staff. Food arrived very quickly and was delicious. Staff were happy to adapt dishes to suit particular tastes. They also offer takeaway which was incredibly busy while we were dining. Fantastic place to eat if you like spicy food.

My favourite Thai restaurant in Brisbane! Their beef massaman curry melts in your mouth. And their panang curry is another favourite. They have a variety of reasonably priced lunch specials and vegan and gluten free options. They have a modest selection of bottled beers and wines and a low corkage fee if you choose to bring your own. It is a small business and sometimes closes for holidays so best to ring before you go.

Very tasty, enjoyable Thai Street food. Well decorated restaurant. Great atmosphere, although a bit noisy. Lots of online / Doordash / pick-up orders, which delayed service of our food. Well worth visiting.

One of our go-to when craving for good quality Thai food in a cosy spot. The food is pretty good quality and the flavours are there. We especially love the fact that, you can opt for more ‘premum’ protein options like grilled chicken tights, wagyu beef, and free-range chicken.

Fantastic flavours and two hard working and attentive waitresses! The chicken satay and the Wagu beef in the smiling tiger salad were perfectly done. The salad fixings needed a bit more flair than just mesclun greens to get that fifth star. However, I will be going back.

The food here is excellent 😋👌 We were pleasantly surprised with the serving sizes and had to roll home with a take away container🤭 Would happily dine here again 😊

Overrated, disorganised Thai restaurant. The food is good and tasty, but the ordering is totally messed up as the dishes requested as hot came mild and the mild dishes hot, making some dishes difficult to finish. The waitress tried very hard, but she had to go back to the kitchen about four times to check whether food was available. Three of the dishes and 2 of the drinks we ordered were not available. And that was early on a Friday night. The atmosphere is nice, Prices are average. In New Farm alone there are at least 2 better Thai restaurants: Mehkong Thai, To Be Thai

I thought I found my favourite Thai restaurant outside of Thailand a few years ago but now I have a new favourite. Chicken satay so moist plump and tasty, duck curry the best I have found ever, can’t wait to go back and sample more of this fantastic food. Staff super helpful and efficient.

Just had an amazing dinner at Banana Leaf East Brisbane. Was warmly welcomed on arrival by the amazing staff. Service was friendly, fast, and personal. The food came out promptly and was fresh and delicious. I cannot recommend Banana Leaf Thai enough. Will return shortly.

Banana Leaf serves some amazing Thai food. Our favourites are the Tom Yum Prawns and the Pad Thai. The flavours of the Tom Yum are divine, and I love that it captures sourness so perfectly. We have always had our meals as take away from here, and the whole process from ordering to picking up has been smooth with no mishaps. We'll definitely keep coming back for the Tom Yum soup.

Nathan Tan, he served me the other day. He has excellent, wonderful, incredible, superb, phenomenal customer service. He is very polite and gentle with me and treats me with care. He is especially very mature looking with nice eyes and long eye lashes, making me blush. His nose and lips are good but most of all his hair is the best. I will definitely come again next time. The food was better with Nathan there. Thanks for the service Nathan, I'll give you a tip next time.

We recently moved to East Brisbane and had our first takeaway and are sooooo glad we chose banana leaf Thai!!! It was the most exceptional Thai food we have had outside of Thailand itself. Do yourself a favour and get some drunken noodles yum!! Well done banana leaf on being so good at what you do 👏👏

Our local Thai eatery is always so welcoming. Their new street food menu is great! I love the Prawn Pong Curry, but my husbands favourite is always the Massaman. The beef is super tender. The owners, Beebie and Thien are so friendly. A fantastic place to eat!

Bland food, greasy had grit in parts. The fried rice was something I could cook in my own kitchen. Very dissatisfying given the reviews. Would not recommend as we have had better with half the cost. Tried two starters, crab fried rice, drunken noodles and chicken fried rice. The entrees were flavorless and pastry shells were to thick. Did takeaway which was quick and were staying just across the street so food did not spoil.

The service is friendly, the decor arty & relaxed. And the food is delicious! We celebrated a birthday and brought a cake with us - they added candles, cake on a lovely stand, singing! Lovely!

A great, simple Thai restaurant with a menu that's not too complicated and several really good authentic flavoured dishes. Anything with their green curry sauce is a winner for us, as is their grilled chicken (gai yan). I've been here a few times now, just as a couple and with friends and they're always busy - very popular with locals and for takeaway.

Great food, prices and the staff certainly looked after us. They were exceptionally busy last time we went. They were so apologetic that the food took longer than usual to arrive. It was so nice because some places we have been wouldn't have cared. I can highly recommend it to all as a restaurant they must visit.

such a great restaurant we decided to go here for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious! The green curry was just a tad spicy for my liking. However, the flavours were there, and the option to add charcoal chicken added extra flavour in the green curry. The fried rice with charcoal chicken was a hit. Definitely will come back and try more from the menu

Ordered Pad Se Ew, Red Curry, Chicky Basil, and Laab. Did not receive the Chicky Basil. The meals I did receive did not taste like Thai food; totally bland and dry. Took 20 minutes more to receive than originally advertised. Do not order from this restaurant if you value your tastebuds and money.

Have had takeaway here a number of times and it is consistently great. Can’t go past the pad se ew or the beef chilli basil 👌🏼

Went here for a meal with friends and it was perfect for a casual catch-up. Not fancy but a nice environment, the food absolutely wonderful. Service was a bit casual too, but didn't matter as we just asked if we needed anything and the staff were happy to help. Highly recommended.

I really love the food here and in my opinion, they have the best Thai food in Brisbane. Though, the chili level is very spicy. If you are the type of person who doesn't eat spicy, then request for less or non spicy. So many times I have visited this place!

Beautiful place but you will starve to the death. Takes 20 minutes to just order, 40 minutes to get food and then you have to chase waitress to pay. It’s not even weekend!
