Would give zero star if possible. Extremely rude staff. Was abused as I walked in the door. Harassed and told to leave for not signing in or being double jabbed. If this is the way small businesses are going there will be none of them left to be able to open their doors to good paying customers. I think they are forgetting who is keeping their businesses going. Definitely no help from the government. What these small businesses need to understand is that there are existing and current laws in place to protect people against this tyranny such as the Privacy Act and Discrimination Acts. So while these uninformed businesses act on behalf of our corrupt government they are leaving themselves open to being liable for breaching these laws. And I was attacked by the staff as I walked in with my son so obviously on the defensive. This behaviour is not acceptable and you should all be ashamed of yourselves for behaving this way to good honest repeat customers.

Shocking service. We dined there and left a review not long ago and we were only being completely honest about our experience and you decided to reply to it with a lie saying we were late because we were at top golf (which we were not) 1. how would you know where we were prior to our reservation and 2. how would know that if all your staff made no effort to converse with us. You also stated that we were lying about having someone disabled at the table. There were two walkers at the table and you have no right to comment on somebodies disability or lack there of (very ablest). Disgusting. Don’t worry we will never be returning. As someone that’s worked in hospitality for 8 years, this was by for the worst I have ever experienced. Response to your reply: This was a lack luster and beyond disappointing response. I would like for the management to take accountability for the inappropriate comments on disabled patrons that were apart of our group. The CCTV footage would show the time we dined which was not 10 minutes before close and the walkers we had at the table. You also have the wrong dating to when we were there which shows you didn’t really check the CCTV as it was 2 months ago and not 1 as per your prior response. Would be best for management to take responsibility and accountability for any wrong doings in the future.

First time there. Went for dinner. All staff were very friendly though. This was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Big fat juicy Sirlion cooked med to well, just as requested. And the same for my girlfriends med/rare. And Big fat chips. Compliments to the kitchen staff and whomever purchases the meat. Definitely will be going again. Good job and keep it up.

Busy bistro. Polite staff and we'll run. Food came quite quickly even though they were busy. I had bangers and mash. 2 thick beef sausages were tasty and mash was creamy. Good to become a member and get significant discounts on meals.

Awesome place to go to. $20 for a pizza and jug of beer on a Saturday night, yes please!!! Food was amazing, staff were friendly, and such great value for money. Pretty good deals all throughout the week, my favourite is obviously on a Saturday night

Terrible! Long wait for lamb shank and lamb rack. Then when it came was big serving of vegetables very litte meat on both plates. Never seen such a tiny lamb shank. And they cut the bottom half of lamb rack off so was virtually nothing left. Steamed vegetables had a burnt taste after 2 pieces of carrot I figured out the burnt flavour was from the vegetables... how can you burn steamed vegetables? Left a burnt flavour in my mouth and every breath taste burnt for a long time after dinner. Noticed a few other people left without eating as well, so not just us with a bad experience. Would definitely not recommend. Stopped going a while ago came back hoping new chefs hopefully better food. Still bad, and made feel sick.

Katie’s Sarah Rio Torah customer service skills are impeccable. They way she took my dinner 20minutes before the close of kitchen shower that she’s an amazing staff member. Sadly hospitality industry is loosing excellent talent like her these days . She’s an asset for Helensvale Tavern. Thanks Katie. You are a superstar.

Literally the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. Told disabled members of our table to just “stand up” and get their own cutlery while they were too busy gossiping. If you’re gonna walk around looking unhappy don’t work. Simple

We were there for the Kid program and decided to stop by Helensvale Tavern for dinner. They are now using Chewzie to order from the table, but they come with processing fees. We have the Sat special Pizza + Soft Drink for $20, lamb cutlet, fish n chips and steak n chips kids meal. The food is great and generous in size.

Pathetic customer service. The guy who served me was so disinterested in his job he may as well have quit. I've never felt so demoralised as a customer in my life. Meals were extremely substandard. It was just food on a plate. No finesse whatsoever. Don't waste your time or your money here. Go elsewhere. You'll thank me later. It used to be a reputable establishment. Not anymore!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at Helensvale Tavern. It was a particularly busy day, but the service was fast and friendly, and we couldn't fault the beautifully presented meals. Crispy Skinned Salmon and the Chargrilled Lamb Rack. Kudos to the chef!

Yummy food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. My moscato wasn’t very nice but that’s just my preference. Ginger beer was good!

I've been dining here for 12 years. Tonight's meal was horrible 😞 the garlic cream sauce on the veal and pasta dish, well it was just like they poured a carton of milk on the veal which was so tough I needed my hubby's steak knife! Hubby's medium steak was so rare it could have run off the plate! I know Thursday nights are busy with the crowd for trivia but come on ! We paid for good food and we didn't get it 😭 don't know if we will ever go back after tonight 😞

Went for lunch her on Saturday - As always the meals were amazing! Such large servings - hot and fresh! We like that they now have members prices - since they took away the $15 menu - So our chicken parmigiana was $17 - we is definitely value for money - when you see the size of it. Staff are always friendly and helpful - we will 100% be back.

Great location, close to Helensvale Westfield, Gold Coast Highway and M1 Motorway. Shopping centre and petrol stations, a bottle shop next door. The pub is OK. Lots of poker tournaments are held. Gaming machines. Good place for cheap eating and drinking.

We have dined at all the taverns and clubs at the northern end of the Gold Coast and we find your facility outshines all the others with service standard of cuisine choice and price. You are our favourite venue and we bring our family and friends along as often as we can. The staff are all very polite and friendly and as we visit frequently we have got to know them. We notice other familiar faces among the clientele which suggests they are regulars too.

21/01/2023. Amazing steaks. Very hard to find a place that serves amazing food these days!

Usually our favourite place to eat however today we were really disappointed in the quality of the chips on the meal. We will really have to consider if it is a deal breaker and we will have to go somewhere else in the future. We appreciate your response, we have been back and and the chips are great. The salmon was great and the Tavern is back on the top of our favourites list!

We popped in for a beer and ended up staying for dinner on Wednesday for ribs night. Great size portions at very reasonable prices. Added bonus was, we could order our food and drinks from the table using their table ordering service Chewzie. Chewzie remembers your drinks making it super easy to re-order quickly and easily without having to jump up and walk to the bar while you are eating. Friendly staff and great food! Awesome work team!

Pleasant surroundings and helpful staff. Didn't stay for long as I thought I'd have a steak lunch there however this didn't happen as veggies instead of salad didn't appear to be an option on the menu. Veggies are my preference especially since just about everywhere doesn't seem to use iceberg lettuce anymore.

We went for dinner here twice in just over a week and we were very happy with the food we got. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food is modern Australian pub meals that are great value. We arrived without a booking both times but still found a table easily. The drinks were ice cold and great for a warm evening. Nice ACE to eat.

they would get 5 stars but they didn't specifically say crumbed cutlets on the menu... I expected grilled cutlets ... got crumbed.. lambs fatty enough... deep fry?

Excellent food and great value.Great staff. They have this annoying policy that does not allow patrons to take food home unlike every other eatery I have attended.Please change this policy.

My partner and I thought we would give this tavern ago seeming the prices were cheap however the meals we order were disgusting I had ordered a medium rare steak the steak came out still bleeding and had no taste the chips were hard and not enjoyable I also got one piece of tomato in the whole salad that was on my plate and it was that soft it was like it had been sitting for a while! My partner ordered the rissoles with mash and peas the mash potato wasn’t even mashed properly it was still lumpy and hard let’s not even start on the rissoles they were the worst rissoles we have ever tasted they had no taste and fell apart when my partner moved them on his plate. We will definitely not be going back to this place again!

What a great Tavern to go for a meal. The Sunday night roast is THE BEST value for money. There are nightly specials and the chefs special have a great menu to choose from. The staff are so nice and friendly and can recommend this Tavern for a night out.

Had the chicken parmy and it was quite disappointing. The cheese on top was hard seemed like poor quality tasty cheese and, there was barely any tomato sauce underneath, and very little ham. There were maybe 10 pieces of chips under the chicken and the crumbs on the chicken were falling apart. Service was quite slow, went there on a Wednesday night and it was quite busy so expect a wait. The price was good but the quality of food not so much.

Absolutely amazing venue, the staff are fantastic. Danielle went above and beyond for me and made my time at the tavern a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend!!!!

In the morning we went to Movieworld, then stopped at the Helensvale tavern for lunch. I had a nice juicy steak with chips and salad. It was delicious. Then we headed off to SeaWorld. It was a nice break between parks.

Great! Amazing value for the meals you get, generous and tasty portions. My steak did come out a little under cooked but staff were super quick to fix the issue and it come back out cooked to perfection. Tidy little pub, friendly staff and cold beer! My new local :)

Have been going to Helensvale Tavern for lunch since 2007. It has always been really good. Went today 18.02.2022. It was the worsed meal I had in a long time. I ordered rissoles with creamy mash, peas and gravy. I got rissoles with very lumpy tasteless mash, some of the peas were dry. My partner had a snitzel , salad and chips. The salad didn't have any dressing. Very unhappy today after so many years of amazing food. The upside is the Gold Coast has many other places for us to go so. We won't be back while you still have a useless chef that can't even mash potato.

Enjoyable Xmas lunch for 4 adults - reasonably priced and well presented meals. The Salmon took a little time to come out but we were offered a drink on the house to compensate. No complaints
