Customer service was vague. You got the classic seagull trainers who are socialising more than anything (easy money i guess) but it gives a sloppy feel to the gyms professionalism. Gym is flashy and clean, like every new gym. Lacking some equipment, not so much because theres few equipment but because the gym is filled beyond capacity so your left waiting on core machines. It was like walking into a rave at 5:45am in the morning. Even Worlds Gym with all the big boys has more ambience than this gym.

Greediest gym i've ever encounterd. I've been going to the gym for 15 years and I've never experienced such a money hungry gym. The only thing this gym is good at is taking money whenever they can. A ridiculous amount for a join up and cancelation fee, overcharging on purpose then charges more if you are unable pay. Always crowded with barely any room on the floor or machines, it even costs money to talk to a PT. Save your money, don't join Goodlife.

Trying to get in touch to freeze membership. No answer. World Gym has frozen all memberships. Can someone please post somewhere what is happening. I don't want to be stitched up for fees because I've lost my job and can't pay membership. Or please have the phone manned. Thank you.

I have been a member at Goodlife gyms twice over the past 10 years. It has been made clear to me by their various actions that they do not care about their customers and will do anything to extort thier customers in any way to make a financial gain. Specifically, one of many examples, my account was on hold when I was suddenly being charged again (without any notice from them). They refused to refund me even though I had not instructed the hold to be lifted, nor did they notify me the hold was lifted. Thier staff clearly represent a pass-the-buck mentality when dealing with any direct issues, which has resulted in me seeking rectification from an ombudsman. Goodlife is a very disappointing, money hungry organisation. I strongly recommend to stay away.

Terrible experience and would not recommend to anyone. I was not allowed the 5 free day pass (which is advertised on the website) unless I signed up for a membership which is very pricey. The staff also did not properly communicate the fees that I would be paying for the membership. Terminating my membership was a major difficulty as there were more fees that are included, hidden away in the terms and conditions.

This gym does not adhere to their printed terms and conditions. Advertising that members aged 14 can train until 7:00pm, my daughter was denied entry at 6:30pm and she was left feeling humiliated in front of other patrons. There are previous testimonials from other patrons about similar occurrences and their reviews and low ratings are no surprise now. I wished I’d checked them prior to taking her there.

Terrible customer service & Misleading sales reps when you sign up. There is a one month cancellation period! Fees are not clear at all. I asked for a one month membership before going travelling and when I tried to cancel was told that you had to give month months notice after the initial month. They need to make this clear when you sign up. Misleading people and then taking an extra $120 for a month of a gym that you can’t use when you made it clear you only wanted one month is unacceptable. Do not sign up with Bailey and the customer service manager Amy will not be helpful if there are any issues. Would recommend to go elsewhere.

Sales-driven gym that uses false and/or misleading advertising to lure prospective clients into their gym only to be subjected to high pressure sales tactics. At the time, Goodlife was advertising a 5-day free trial pass. When I spoke with one of their sales representatives named Amy, she tried to convince me that it didn’t exist. Funny, considering it was advertised on the company’s own website. Avoid the headache and look elsewhere.

I am sorry to say that 1 start for the approach at the front desk, i am aware of policy and procedures this could at the sign up at the start and not a year later. I asked to be done later they said no only will take 2 minutes, i was not in the mood for my photo be taken just added to my day was not a good day i didn’t want anyone to stop me at the entrance, of the gym for this all i wanted is to go through as per normal and not be bothered for a bit and have a nice workout, turned out i left no workout done and in a bad mood. Not happy at all.

This gym does not have good exercise equipment. The terms of contracts are not specific and once you join the gym they change the conditions. You are lucky to be able to cancel the contract and they charge a very high cancellation fee.

Be Alert: When we signed in the guy never explained us their term called "ongoing or fixed" membership. Also, we never got orginial signed contract and what we got in email never mentioned about these particular term. When I asked to talk to that particular person about my contract then I been told that he is not working there any more. It means he left the company but he made good money for his company. Good for club.

Reduce the cardio equipment, no one is utilising every single piece of equipment even during the peak times. Need a bigger weight room area.

It's between 13 to 17 degrees outside at night in surfers paradise @ 9.30pm and inside the gym it's 5 degrees, how do you expect us to train in a freezer? I have addressed this issue to the employees and the team manager and nothing has been resolved for over 3 weeks! Phoned again today and still again tonight it's a freezer!!! Fix the problem and read all ya bad reviews! Clean if the gym professional attitude. How do you expect us to train in a freezer conditions?

Horrible experience at Goodlife Bundall. I was extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism demonstrated by both the staff on the front desk and the management of the club from signing up to cancelling. Furthermore, I received a call from them (I didn't have the number saved), and when I answered, the person on the other end asked if I was dead! This type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend Goodlife Bundall, it’s the worst gym I’ve ever been to.

Warning. Your gym received Yellow Card Γ—2 Only focus on Collecting new members, I been stopped and interrogated who am. I Found that staff didn't register me, it was 4days passed already. As a trial member only pushed to sign in full memebership- after sign up- you are not important any more. You have to pay expenses penalties if you cancel the 'deal' Commitment is from service provider not from customer yet customer must pay penalties when they want to stop. This is such a BS system. Hope these guys learn quality control. Owner may see business grows in short term with 'unbelievable' promotions, your old loyal customer are leaving cause of the poor customer service & cold attitude. Gtta watch out increasin bitter reply like this, take it as Warning sign.

Poor customer service staff- Scott. I visited goodlife Bundall to ask a representative about membership plans, what the gym had to offer and gain a feel for the atmosphere. I was looking for friendliness in their staff and a welcoming environment. What I received from Scott was a psychological interrogation and what felt like judgement surrounding my intentions of joining the gym. Even saying β€œwhy are you here” after I’d already explained why I want to join. There was no sense of friendliness at all, even going as far as saying that it is not the job of staff to to assist with questions about the machines, that is a service offered by personal trainers at an additional cost. I will not be joining, and discourage anyone looking from doing so too. There are plenty of other gyms close by with much better attitudes 😊✌🏻

Poor customer service from front desk staff: Took a visiting family member to gym today, and the staff at the front said it’s only allowed for Friday-Sunday. I mentioned it’s not what I signed up for, the ladies at the front showed no initiative to even let me speak to the people who do the signups. Staff very unwilling to help or go the extra step to help the situation, and here I am standing with a visitor to Australia. Update: I called to speak to Scott who signed me up, he returned my call, and was helpful enough to make some suggestions to me. He really did make a concerted effort to assist.

My dad got told off by a young staff member because of the Membership. My dad did a trial, and the trial thing was still going, BUT the staff told that he HASNT SIGNED UP WHEN HE DID. they said "oh fill this out for me" and pointed to a paper that my dad already signed up. And it took awhile for my dad to come in to the gym. Another story today that happened. My sister is 13 turning 14 this year. She went to gym fine UNTILL TODAY. so when my mum signed her up, it was fine. Because me, mum, my sister EACH GOT A CARD. BUT! TODAY ! THEY SAID KIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE GYM. WHAT?! THEY AAID THAT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT OVER 18 ARE NOT ALLOWED WHAT???? WE SIGNED UP FINE. BUT WHY NOW ! AWFUL GYM AND GREEDY STAFF MEMBERS NEVER GO HERE.

The gym has potential yet lacks that certain class you would expect of it. The men's sauna almost consistently smells putrid sweat and despite many attempts to let staff know...nothing seems to be done unless a few of us complain. Apart from that, there are too many treadmills and not enough modern machines and benches meaning you will stand in a que for sure during popular hours. They are not restricting their numbers either (memberships selling faster than available key cards) so it is poised to get worse. If you can sign up elsewhere that claims to be fancy and fresh, do it. If you cannot, well...consider this a second rate fancy place with lots of varieties of exercises available if you are willing to pay lots and lots of money.

I do cycle classes at this gym Thursday and Saturday. This space is huge and extremely well looked after. The spaces are clean. The staff are approachable and helpful. There are some very fit people that go here but what I like is that it very clear that thus place is for every age and every level of fitness. I would highly recommend Goodlife health clubs to everyone. I use 2 other Goodlife centre's to chase the cycle/rpm classes. I love the music and the energy in the classes. I think if we could hook up those bikes to the grid we could power a city. Libby is an amazing instructor shoulder to shoulder with every other instructor that is there!! Get fit Australia with goodlife health clubs!!

I love the vibe at Goodlife Bundall. Most importantly the results are showing. My reformer pilates on a Sunday morning is my church. It is where I feel my week is re-set or the week ends on a high. not going on a Sunday is like losing your keys. When you find it you feel better. Most importantly Jacquie is amazing in pushing you just where you need to be.

Worst experience ever.No effective systems in place. Tried cancelling membership for 6 months, yet kept charging credit card. Every time you phone you get someone different who then tells you that your membership is β€œon hold” not cancelled, and that you have to pay for another month. Their business model is to rip people off. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I have been going to Goodlife Bundall for nearly 4 years with my husband. We get a lot of benefit from it. Especially the reform Pilates. The teachers in reform Pilates are very helpful and they do a great job in guiding you to do it correctly. When you come out you feel good and your body doesn’t hurt you just feel fitter. We do it 3 times a week and the other 2 days do the treadmill, elliptical and weights. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I’ve never been able to stick in a gym for long periods as it gets boring but being at Goodlife at Bundall is great. I give it 5 stars. Keep up the good work. 😊

  • 3/5 Ricky B. 1 year ago on Google
Gym isn't that bad. It's mostly clean and tidy but little things like under the weights, high up on machines and corners of the gym being dusty could be worked on. It has most of the equipment needed, except for the cable machines. Why is there never any handles or ropes available? They're cheap. I'm sure a couple of extra sets and replacing the rope that looks like it's about to split couldn't hurt. And some mirrors would be nice. It's nice to be able to watch yourself and work on your form. The squat racks look at a block wall. Peak hours get busy. Like real busy. You will be able to find a machine but prepare to be flexible with what you intend to workout. You have to hover around the cable machines like a hawk if you want to use them during peak hour. Your not tripping over tripods everywhere which is a nice changing. As for the contracts I suggest to read carefully. Can be hell getting out of them. Ask questions and keep a copy for yourself. It is nice to be able to bring a friend for free every Friday Saturday or Sunday, though they will get spammed with marketing messages.

  • 1/5 Josh R. 9 months ago on Google
The billing and pay cycles are messed up, it says they will charge you one day in the contracts and emails and they charge on a completely different day, they will also try to charge you 5 times in the first 2 weeks, not sure how this works but there are 5 transactions to them in my history and I joined on the 22nd of last month. Would not recommend

I've had a very positive experience at Goodlife Bundall. Great Sunday spin class from Mark and Jackie very attentive at Reformer Pilates. I've also enjoyed Mat Pilates and Barbell. The equipment is in good condition and there is plenty of it. There is also plenty of parking and it's free, a huge plus. I work at a gym, but I generally work out at Goodlife Bundall.

Had my phone stolen in the first month of being there. Chased the manager for days to review footage or get any type of assistance from them but gave up. Friendly staff, superb amount of equipment including variety, all brand new and HUGE. What more can you ask for? Was recently in Gold Coast for a work event and this was the closest (2.2km jog away). Reading the mixed reviews I was prepared for worst... Not sure what other gyms people are going to but I really enjoyed my 3 days at this location! Classes start at 5:30AM (great for me and good turnout surprisingly) and had great instructors across the 2 days I attended. Equipment was really new and a lot of fit people (must be the GC thing coming from cooler Melb). I guess there were fewer racks than some other GoodLife's but still 4! It does get busy early though. Some unique things - they have the indoor ergo ski machine as well as a dedicated track for the sled. I'm blessed to be surrounded by 5 goodlife's but I've not once ever seen a dedicated track which I would LOVE to have so as to not have to inconvenience others. Thank you to the Thursday Grit and Friday Body Pump instructors for pushing the random visitor and ensuring I didn't over-indulge. Reception was always friendly too so again, great GL in my opinion. Oh day 1 I was there around 6:30AM to 7:30AM with other days by 5:15AM and I always got equipment even after class.

Haven't been to this club for a few months. Today I just visited there, I went to their Sauna room. It was disgusting and awful, smell so bad and dirty in the sauna room. Bet the Sauna room hasn't been cleaned up properly for ages. I think it has to be cleaned everyday as everyone is sweating in the sauna room. Didn't enjoy much. More stress than relax.

They charged me $20 for a single visit which I thought was excessive. I was reall...
