An amazing cafe in the "Surfers Paradise" area with great taste of foods. We had "Loaded brekkie" which was more than delicious, and the portions were huge. The coffee and cappuccino were also great. The dishes were prepared well, and everything in the dishes was fresh. The staff was friendly and warm, and the customer service was impeccable.

Excellent breakfast and excellent coffee. One of the best I have tried so far in this area! The acai bowl was very delicious and the eggs benedict as well. Eggs were very well cooked and just overall delicious! Highly recommended!

We sat outside with our puppy. You order through the QR code on the table. Meals were tasty and had great portion sizes. We loved the Benny with the bagels. Coffee was good as well. We would come back next time.

Seems to have dropped significantly since Jason left, as we've seen the prices rise and the food not so. Why are you charging more for less? This is a pathetic effort - who made these on the morning of Wednesday 12 July? Nonsense. Would you eat it? Would you cook like this for yourself? Take your job seriously or call up Centrelink, so you can do as little effort as you have here and still get paid. Also, there was felt pen on my wrap, so cheers. Coffee was good

Chicken wrap and flat white are so good. The price is cheap and the staff is very bright and kind. The more you drink Flat White, the more savory it tastes. I didn't expect much from the chicken wrap, but it was very, very delicious.

Amazing food, I went to have the french toast but they don't have it any more so I had the Canadian hotcakes with scrambled eggs and bacon... it was the perfect balance between sweet and savoury.. hit the spot. Had a matcha latte and a cookie pie filled with Nutella and took home a mini Nutella jar !! Would make a great gift

Had an amazing brunch here. The ham cheese tomato croissant was sizeable and toasted perfectly, and the side of scrambled eggs I ordered was fluffy and came topped with a handful of fresh rocket, which was nice. I tried the Penny Lane blend and it was indeed creamy, rich, and caramelly - I liked it enough to buy some to bring home. I appreciated that the baristas are knowledgeable about their product, and forthcoming that their beans were on sale due to their shelf life ending soon. The online ordering system with QR codes was nice, considering covid. Their coffee is on the acidic side, so I recommend Penny Lane for those who like a mellow coffee. Their house blend has a tart, citrusy taste best enjoyed black. All in all, I’d definitely go back for a coffee and brunch!

You QR scan the code on your table & pre order and pay online. The online menu does not have everything, for example we did not see the toasties listed & only saw them in the display glass afterwards as we were seated outside. The glass water bottle was toppled over accidentally by the waitress when placing the coffee down. She offered to replace the coffee, but it was no big issue for us, however it would have been nice to have the water replaced. Food was delicious. We went for breakfast and ordered a bacon & egg roll, ferrero nutella waffles, açai granola bowl & fruit toast. The fruit toast was nicer than what was pictured online. It had apricot, whereas the one on the online menu looked like a plain sultana slice. Reasonably priced too.

Best Cafe we've been too so far on the Gold Coast. Staff were lovely and helpful. Great coffee and food was delicious. Will be back. 👍

Jason who works very hard to keep his establishment running smoothly is sssooo welcoming at all times.

The egg in my bacon egg roll was overdone. Not certain though I feel the menu may have even said runny egg. I would not order that again. The eggs Benny Bagel was very nice though. Flavours were good and I am a big fan of bacon not being crunchy.

This place is nice but very overpriced. For two scramble eggs, bacon and egg burger, two juices and ice chocolate were $65. We paid extra for another piece of toast with our scramble eggs which were rubbery and cold. Ice chocolate was more ice than milk, and it was not very nice. No ice cream or spoon. Had to ask for one. The staff there didn't seem very happy.

Ordered 1 Breakfast Wrap, 1 Chicken Wrap and 1 Espresso Shot. The Breakfast Wrap was very tasty, much better than the Chicken Wrap, the employee who recommended the Breakfast Wrap was right! The Chicken Wrap which had some potatoes wasn't too bad, wasn't as tasty but it made up for it with the larger portions of protein. Great cafe interior too! In total it costed me $25.33, not too bad!

Very friendly, kind and caring staff. The atmosphere reminded me of Toby Estate coffee roasters stores in Sydney. There was a wide selection of cakes and baked goods. All looking fresh and in the shade (well done on the designs and placements of cakes and baked goods so they don't get hit with direct sunlight!) I ordered the brioche French Toast. It smelt divine, and looks so enticing! The earl grey pana cotta was a stand out. It was so smooth and creamy without being too sweet and without being too overpowering. The candied nuts, caramelised banana, strawberries and its compote was also yummy. However, the French brioche toast was too hard and I didn't think it was covered in eggs before it was made into a French toast. If more maple syrup and conpote was provided on the side, it would have been a 10/10 dish! Overall, I recommend coming for an experience that entices the tastebuds and nose.

So much variety anything from a burger to açai bowls! Loved my chai latte as well! All workers had a smile on their faces and were very welcoming and friendly! Very convenient to order from the tables as well! Loved the atmosphere both inside and outside. Would 100% come back to and recommend for anyone looking for a good breakfast, brunch or lunch place!

Awesome menu of breakfast, brunch and lunch options! I went with the pancakes, eggs and bacon which were absolutely divine and complemented by the sweet matcha latte. Good value for money on the whole.

This place is so cool! Loved the really yummy, smooth delicious coffee (they roast their own beans on site) and the eggs Benny bagel. Even the decor is cool - who doesn’t want to sit on a giant peg bench? Parking was a bit tricky to find but there’s a paid carpark behind them off Ferny av.

Came here for breakfast. I had the Canadian Hot Cakes. They were quite different to what I was expecting as they were thick and had a different texture to your average pancake. Regardless was a tasty breakfast and others I was with also enjoyed their breakfast. Service was hit and miss. Had a staff member that really didn’t seem to care, and it showed in the way she walked and spoke, also got my coffee order wrong. Other than that, would recommend this place.

Pathetic service waiting over an hour for our food and the manager didn't even care when we asked. Will avoid this place and especially if your eating with your kids

So whilst staying in surfers paradise we had a hankering for a hearty breakfast, we chose Paradox, it was busy when we arrived which always shows that the food is good, we did wait what seemed like an eternity for our food, when it arrived (eventually) it looked fantastic! However the portions were small but none the less very tasty. The staff were very friendly. Their cakes looked amazing I had to walk away with a Nutella cookie pie! Amazing! All in all a good breakfast experience, I was a little let down by the size of our meals.

Coffee is awesome. Food is ok. Service is good if you're alone or in a small group. They struggle every time I've been there with a big group. They don't take names, just the table number. Can be very annoying when they get frustrated due to their own lack of a system.

Good food and coffee but we had to wait 50 minutes on a Tuesday morning for food, 15 minutes for coffee. We could also see staff running around checking the order queue and looking worried.

Great little coffee roasters. Coffee was on point and you could tell they knew what they were doing as we watched them weigh each coffee shot! Beautiful. Food was good but the savoury French toast with fried chicken left me grasping for water. Way too salty. Poached chicken was amazing with great flavours… Will come back for sure!

I used to like coming here but went yesterday and was extremely disappointed. One of the reasons I like to come is for the nice breakfast dishes. However at 9 am they were already sold out of the two dishes which are the nicest. They now use an app to order. It asks for a tip before any food or service is given. This is not appropriate. As it turns out I would have been very reluctant to give any tip. We were a party of 9. A random amount of cutlery and Serviettes were shoved down next to my hut and he was supposed to distribute this to all the party. This is not service. They are already saving on wait staff by insisting on ordering through the app. Surely appropriate placement of some cutlery and napkins is the least the server should do. I will no longer recommend this coffee shop. There are many others to choose from which provide better service and have stock of their favourite dishes.

Great food but severely let down by terrible service this morning. Took 51minutes for breakfast to arrive, with two cranky toddlers waiting impatiently. Husband had to leave before food arrived in order to make our checkout time. When I asked for his to be packed up to go, not even acknowledged by the waiter. Returned with a box which was unceremoniously dropped on the table for me to pack up the untouched meal. No cutlery (for waffles and ice cream), no offer of help, not even an apology for the wait. Have been before and had a very different experience, but the total lack of customer service from this one waitstaff, and the long wait really tarnished the visit this morning

Needed to find a good Cafe to cure our hangover after Spilt Milk festival and Paradox delivered. The breaky roll was phenomenal and the cold drip was amazing. A bit of a wait but the place was packed! Service was great also. An awesome lil joint, I would highly recommend.

We recently had a week long family holiday in Surfers Paradise and these guys did not disappoint. The coffees were amazing and the team were super friendly. The meals were also delicious. Hot tip: Try the cold press!

I tried the batch brew and flat white. Both were pretty nice. The batch brew comes in a cool looking pot, though I enjoyed the flat white more.

Dropped in for breakfast and it was fantastic. Had the breaky burger which was delicious. Staff were delightful. Will return again during our trip for sure. The wife had avocado on pumpkin sourdough and was great too.

Lovely food. The tea was not served in tagged tea bags but freshly brewed. I went in for breakfast and tried the avocado toasts with pumpkin. Would recommend.

Stayed in Surfers for 5 nights and ended up here for breakfast 3 out of our 5 days. Best coffee we'd had in a long time. Breakfast was great aswell 👌

Absolutely 💯 delicious food combination with amazing coffee!!! The mushrooms madness drives you crazy with authentic taste, the amount of thyme is just perfectly added. Food presentation covers the waiting time especially when is busy in the morning. Super start of the day with Paradox!!!

Amazing experience from the team, I enjoyef the single origin for no extra cost as a latte based then followed with a limited release v60 and a tasting of the batch brew! If your into coffee this is your only spot in the Gold Coast to stop in at, the food is an amazing bonus that it is consistently delicious 🤝
