This is a wonderful experience! Self paced and very easy to pick up quickly. I am not a confident swimmer and I have never been paddle boarding before. But with the help of the wonderful staff, I was up within 10 minutes and very confident with paddling around. I went from Budds beach to Pelican beach by going around Macintosh Island and it was so beautiful and serene! The staff are ready to help you and accommodate whatever you need to get paddling. They really go that extra mile to make your experience the best it can be. Will certainly be coming back next time I get a chance. 11/10 would recommend. Thank you to Linda and your staff for a stunning experience.

We went in the morning hours, and the sun was shining and bright. We got two double paddles, were taught some basics and the safety rules and we were sent on our way. We had no instructor and we were given relative freedom to go around the lake. It was a relaxing and fun experience, and Linda was great. She took some amazing photos!

One of the best experiences we’ve had in Gold Coast. Our instructor Linda was a delight. There were 6 of us in the tour group and all of us were able to stand up on the board within the first 10 mins. Linda has awesome tips to make the paddling effortless and help you go faster as well 😉 The instructor will take photos of you and you can have them for free after the tour. If you are worried about not being a good swimmer like myself, don’t be. It’s really safe. I wore a life jacket but I suggest not to coz it might ruin your photos, lol. Time flies when you are on this tour.

Had the best time on my first ever SUP tour! I was the only one who had booked the tour but Linda took me out anyway and gave me lots of great tips and tricks. She is very knowledgeable on the wildlife and birds which made for a great overall experience. Highly recommend as Linda is so lovely and helpful. Thanks again I had a great time!

We had a really good experience hiring SUP boards and the guides tour. Learnt some more advanced skills since we had time and the instructor made picking up the skills quite easy. We did not fall into the water at all over the 2 hour experience through the surfers Paradise riverways and felt very confident on the SUP boards within the first 20 minutes.

Had a wonderful, fun and safe experience at my stand up paddle boarding lesson. Linda was very patient and gave us the confidence to stand up on our boards as well as giving us tips and minor adjustments which helped immensely. Before the lesson I was nervous and worried I won't be able to stand up at all but was pleasantly surprised and had heaps of fun while enjoying the surroundings. I'd highly recommend booking a lesson through Go Vertical and I can't wait to go on a SUP tour next time I'm in the GC.

My boyfriend and I went on a 2 hour tour with Linda today and had an awesome time! She took plenty of amazing photos for us to keep these memories forever! Had some great chats as she was so friendly and also knowledgeable about the area so it was great for our holiday! Highly recommend 🥰

TTop Class. Had an easy afternoon and wanted to look for an alternative to surfing for the day. Checked the booking site which was easy to use and couldn't find what we wanted as it was last min so dropped the team a Facebook Message. Kav gave me a message and said come down for some lessons & a paddle so we did. We had one of the best afternoons ever, Kav was a great instructor and gave us time to get used to the boards. Had a great paddle around the river. Would really recommend these guys Kaz your the best x

Had a great tour with them! I was the only customer on the tour but they didn’t canceled it as I experienced like this with other companies in the past. Issy was a Great instructor and made it easy to feel comfortable on the board even as a first timer.

this was my first time trying stand up paddle boarding and linda made it so easy! she took her time to make sure we were comfortable on the boards and was great to talk to. not only did we get to use the boards but she took us to see all types of birds including peacocks at a sanctuary nearby. she even took photos of us without us having to ask which she gave to us for free at the end. great experience and worth the money :)

We first did a SUP lesson with Linda in 2015 and since then have always come back to hire SUPs and cruise the river. Linda is so lovely and always remembers us. Can't wait to go back there again for another paddle!

We had a fantastic time on the serene waters from Buds beach. The business owner Linda was very kind, supportive and knowledgeable and told us of the best path to take- and it was a breathtaking outing! This was an awesome way to catch the last of the sun. I highly recommend for everyone, beginners or experts.

My partner and I had so much fun exploring the waters of Surfers Paradise. Our instructor Linda was passionate, supportive, patient and accommodating throughout the tour. We initially planned to join a SUP tour in the morning then a kayak tour in the afternoon, however we missed our SUP tour (our fault though) and were unable to communicate with Linda when she tried to reach us. So that wasn’t a god start :( But anyways, we made it to our kayak tour and Linda came up with a slightly different route for us which made the tour even more memorable - we stopped at McIntosh Island Park where we watched a variety of birds including peacocks and were even given some bread to actually feed them! Linda told us great stories about the area and wildlife, and took our pictures and videos (with her narration!) throughout the tour. Linda also surprised us by offering an opportunity to experience SUP at the end of our kayak tour, which we really enjoyed and appreciated. I can’t wait to return to Gold Coast! 💗

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. My wife and I were first time Stand Up Paddle Boarders and I do not know how to swim. Despite those handicaps, we had a wonderful time. Izzy is a lovely instructor - she taught us very well and took good care of us. We were able to learn and stand up on the paddle board very quickly. Go Vertical is situated at a wonderful location - calm waters, not very deep. It's also a very safe activity - life jackets and all of that! Highly recommend this activity during your Gold Coast Visit!

We didn't spot dolphins unfortunately but we really enjoyed our time. Awesome experience. Super friendly and great location. Highly recommend for a fun activity to do while in Surfers Paradise. Thanks

Great for first time paddle boarders like us, our instructor Dave was fantastic......taught us all we needed to know to get started, was very patient, and gave lots of encouragement! Overall a great, fun experience and we be going back for sure!!

Had a great experience renting out 2x 2 seater kayaks. Kayaking along the GC river was amazing and I’d highly recommend to go with go vertical. Linda was very friendly and understanding too.

I had a great time with Go Vertical. We had booked too long and she was very accommodating for the mishap, and we really enjoyed the convenience of hiring the kayaks. The kayaks were in good condition and we had a great time.

Went kayaking with them, super simple to set up. Linda was lovely in guiding us to interesting points of interest. Would definitely come here if you want a nice interactive experience across the Gold Coast rivers👌

This was the best service! Not only did they give us extra time they took photos for us and had a great laugh with us. They were wonderful and we would us the again and highly highly recommend them. Their paddle board were great and they gave us detailed explanation on where to go and what to look out for! One of the best parts of our entire trip!

Loved our first-timers lesson 😁 Ava was a great instructor and we had plenty of relaxed time to practice and out everything she taught us into action. My legs and yoga core muscles got a very good workout today, no complaints!! It was a lot more fun than I anticipated and having a lesson with my husband made it all the more fun😃 I’d highly recommend this group for your SUP lessons, first time or just for a paddle.

We took the 2 hour SUP tour. This was my first experience paddle boarding and it is great fun! Linda was patient and gave clear instruction. Mackintosh Island Park is beautiful, lots of birds to see. Highly recommended

Fabulous experience. They were so accommodating, friendly and really supportive and encouraging. I learned so much from Ava. I had never used a SUP before and by the end of our tour, I was managing to cope with small waves, wind and a little tide. Definitely recommend.

It was a great experience. I hadn't done SUP before, the instructors understood that and were very patient with me. I was able to SUP after few minutes and then enjoy the experience especially during the return. I would highly recommend this place to learn SUP or do their SUP tour on Budds beach.

Booked in for a beginner SUP group lesson and when I turned up I was the only participant so I was effectively given a private lesson. Kirk was a great instructor and showed me the ropes well. Once I got the hang of things we paddled together and we had a good chat. At the end he took a couple of pics of me, paddling on the water in various poses, and airdropped them straight to my phone. Overall it was a great experience and I plan to come back on a tour.

What a great day, brought my own inflatable SUP about a month ago but haven't used it. On holidays on the Gold Coast and decided to learn or attempt to learn what to do. Linda was just fantastic. Was having trouble getting my balance at first but with a different board I was straight up and a little while later my confidence was getting better. Spent a whole hour after that paddling around without one fall. It was just so tranquil. Can't recommend Go Vertical enough. Thanks Linda.
