One of the worst hospitality experiences of my life. After getting our meals wrong, and then telling us it was out fault, the 'manager' then swore and berated the very young waitress in front of a venue full of people. This was so abusive and aggressive that she burst into tears and ran out of the venue crying hysterically. Leaving me to go and console her over mistaking out order. I then told the manager that this was an absolutely unacceptable way to talk to staff let alone in front of a restaurant full of guests and he told me that I should let him run the restaurant as he sees fit. I then called the owner of the venue 5 times to discuss this and left multiple messages and had no call back. Honestly this experience was disgraceful. Food not bad, wine bad, service terrible, management/ownership disgraceful.

This place is absolutely outstanding. They have beautiful wines, perfect food and the venue is stunning. All food is sourced as locally as possible, and they have so much knowledge on their wine. It is so peaceful here. Definitely come here, you will not regret it at all!

The venue is beautiful and food is okay. However, the service provided by the Manager who is Anna wasn't good at all. I got the Elopement Package, and we had some irregularities: 1.I believe that if a venue provide functions for weddings the manager should be more kind and pleased. Anna is not like this at all. You get the feeling that they only cares about money. Every little thing that I asked her the answer was NO, also she takes ages in replying the emails what makes so hard to organize your wedding. A clear example is that I paid a bond of $500 and my wedding was on 03/11, today is 13/11 and I haven't got my money back. 2.My package was for 20 people and I added 21 extra when I made the booking, and a day before my wedding I found out that the plan was only to put 20 chairs on the grass for the ceremony, even thought they knew the total was 41 people. Therefore, we have to pay extra $40 in order to get the right amount of chairs in the ceremony area. What it doesn't make any sense to me. 3.We agreed to take our own cake and I asked if that dis not have any cost. Anna said that it will be fine and they will serve for us for no any extra cost. For our surprise they did their job but in half. The staff served the cake on serviettes. Everyone was in sock when they saw this, it was even hard for the poor staff to give it to the guesses. 4.We took with us some cookies to put in the restaurant area and the guesses can help their self. This does not add any cost to the restaurant. However, we have to pay extra $5 per each person, just because the guesses will consume the cookies at the venue. I found this a completely abuse. 5.Two days before of our wedding she sent an email where said that we have to leave by 3pm, what was different to the quote that we got, where the venue was booked until 4pm. Luckily, I had a proof of this and we could stay until 4pm, packing everything quickly because I will have to pay extra $250 every extra half an hour. 6.The package include a coordinator, I asked if they could print a table list that I did and put some where to help the guesses to find their spot. This was not done, we have to re-ask to get the list print. The reason of this review is not stop people of celebrating you wedding here, as I said before the place is lovely. However, the service was not professional. I recommend to get everything well explained on paper and emails to avoid a lot of stress on your wedding. Even make sure you ask for inclusions and exclusions, otherwise you will be end up paying for things that you were count it.

Incredible food, service and venue! It's not often that I want everything on the menu but our party was struggling to narrow it down. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, the service was attentive but not in your face. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful yet non pretentious meal on the mountain. Thankyou team we will be back again

Our family of 12 had a lunch at Mason Wines on Wednesday of this week. We were celebrating my husband’s 80th birthday. The setting could not have been more perfect; the service was impeccable (both for the wine tasting and at the table). It was agreed that the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We would have no hesitation in recommending your establishment. Thank you once again.

This place is a real gem. The food is sensational and wines in the restaurant are at cellar door prices. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The one-star reviewers here are a bunch of wallies - don’t read them and come see for yourself.

We were married here 6 years ago. Food was incredible then and we had heard it had dropped. definitely NOT true. The food is just as good as it was. The gnocchi was so soft and the burrata was very smooth. Don’t eat on the Gallery Walk, take the extra 2min drive to Mason Wines.

This place is a 10 out of 5 - and you NEED to experience it. From the arrival, the staff was enthusiastic and accommodating to our sitting request, tough you might have to insist a tad to achieve this ;). The food was delicious and the wine very unique. The service was definitively second to none and the main reason for my endorsement, nice people combined relaxing views is something that anyone will appreciate!

Being a local I bought my friends here from the Southern Highlands of Nsw today for lunch as a return favour for them showing me around their lovely wineries. And they and me absolutely had the best experience. Our meals were so delicious, compliments to the chef. Service was 2nd to none, and they were very impressed with our wines. Could not be prouder of our region. All locally sourced ingredients, the food was amazing. Thank you Mason 🍷

I recently visited Maison Winery and unfortunately had a very disappointing and upsetting experience. My family and I were subjected to extremely racist behavior from the staff while we were seated at our table. This behavior was completely unacceptable and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I would strongly advise against visiting Maison Winery and supporting a business that allows such behavior to occur. It is important for businesses to create a safe and inclusive environment for all customers, and Maison Winery failed to do so during our visit."

We had an amazing wine tasting experience with Chris. I’d give it a 5 star rating. However, Hawke, one of the restaurant staff was rude and obnoxious. He refused to serve us the bottles of wine we ordered, did not communicate with us the reason for the same till asked. His arrogance did not match the service and the apology was just lip service. This is not one that’s expected from a boutique winery & restaurant. Recommend the wine tasting experience but have a meal elsewhere!

We were here for a wine tasting & lunch with our family. Chris was fantastic with the wine tasting & we really enjoyed it. Lunch however left a lot to be desired. The food was great, but we didn’t get to enjoy it because of the service that we received from the staff. Yes we were a group of 12 and yes it was a public holiday. But at the time that we were seated, and placed our orders and even received the wine, we were one of 2 tables that were occupied. The other table had 2-3 people. The waiter put the wine on the table and told us to serve ourselves… which would have been okay if it was a tiny little shack on the side of the road. This however is a boutique restaurant where we’d expect better service… atleast have the wine poured into our glasses. We also noticed that they were pouring wine for other tables. Yes, the waiter apologised when we brought this up but it felt like lip service and nothing more. We would have stayed longer at the restaurant but we didn’t feel very welcome.

When you go as a family to a winery, the least you'd expect as a meal is great service with a smile, and this visit here was such a disappointment. While at the dining area, not only were we asked to serve the wine ourselves, we were also asked to quieten down! Was a wine tasting experience to be quietly quiet? Haha...you'd better watch out if you think this meal after the wine tasting is going to be a write-home experience. Expect the contrary at the dining area. My personal recommendation: Make the most of the wine tasting yet head out for the meal, to another place. It's best done that way. Sorry Hawke! Your apology didn't hit home AT ALL.

Beautiful set up for the winery and restaurant. Food and wine was delicious. Only draw back was when we first sat down for lunch we asked for some bread while we waited for one of our guests to arrive. We got told because it was busy we needed to order all our food at once. Would have been great to have been able to eat something while we waited.

Mt Tambourine experienced a horrible storm, but they are back open so please come up and support local businesses. We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed a great bottle of wine. This place is a must do destination

Fabulous!! On entry we were greeted by the chef. A friendly warm fellow. Seated at a delightful table where we could turn our backs to everyone in the restaurant and enjoy our own space. The important part…the food. Delicious, abundant and on point. We had the soufflé and croquettes for entree and twice cooked pork belly and gnocchi (oh the gnocchi 🤤 and the porcini mushrooms). It’s the kind of food you hope tastes as good as it looks. It doesn’t disappoint.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! One of the most extraordinary meals I have ever had, and we travel around in search of the best restaurants everywhere we go! Compliments to the chef, absolutely outstanding food, impeccable service and very very good wine as well. I honestly can not say enough good things about this restaurant. I spoke to a chef friend after and confirmed yes, one of, if not, the best restaurant on Tambourine mountain. We even went to compliment the chef and he was so grateful, kind and humble. What a legend!

We engaged Mason Wines for our wedding. The simply ooze professionalism. The service was very good, the location in amazing but the food, well I find difficulty in finding the correct word…. perhaps exquisite comes close. We were so happy with Mason Wines, complete positive recommendations on every aspect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

We recently had our wedding at Masons and I can highly recommend the team and venue. The food was amazing, all our guests were so pleased and commended on how delicious it all was. The team were kind and so helpful with every question we had. The venue is beautiful and so much room for our kids to play and have fun. Thank you for an amazing day.

Had a party of 15 for wine tasting and lunch and from the moment we arrived the staff were very unwelcoming. The entire lunch the staff spoke quite rudely and acted like they didn’t want to serve us at all, we were all quite uncomfortable. The food was beautiful but it was hard to enjoy it when the service was so horrible.

We are locals, who took friends visiting from Melbourne for what we thought was a quick tasting. Not to be as the service was amazing, food delicious and the wines divine! Expertise and friendly service, really made us feel welcome. Will definitely be back.

Stopped here for a wine tour. Had lunch and some wine tasting and my gosh the food was unbelievable. I ordered the crispy pork belly and it was one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Great flavours, perfect crunch, great portions and the service was also on point. Beautiful country feel, great staff and everything was just 🙌🏼I will come back for more lunches!

A relaxing experience at the cellar door this afternoon for a wine tasting session. Our host was an English gentleman who was very professional and made us feel welcomed. Beautiful setting and some very tasty wine. Will be back 🤗

We did a wine tour with Bums on Seats yesterday and Mason wines was our first stop. Matt was very welcoming and happy to share his knowledge but not in an over the top way. I am not a huge wine drinker but he had me interested and listening to every word. We would definitely recommend a visit

Beautiful food and not badly priced. Lovely wines and well priced by the glass at lunch $10 -$14. Lovely tranquil setting and attentive friendly staff. Cannot fault this day

I purchased this lunch for my son and daughter-in-law and they reported that the meal was absolutely delicious. The staff were very nice and attentive. They liked their time at Mason Wines so good and memorable that it is now on their list as THE place to visit again in the future

We were here yesterday for a tasting and Matt did a fabulous job. The setting is very nice and tranquil and the wines were all very good. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed ourselves. We also had an amazing lunch at their restaurant that is also right there you don't want to pass up. The good was amazing and Hauke was very welcoming. A one stop shop.

After we arrived we were told that the restaurant did not accommodate animals (even outside) and we had to leave immediately because we had a little dog with us. I tried calling several times before arriving to confirm that it would be OK to arrive with the puppy but there was no answer. I also added a a question at the time of my online booking about being pet friendly but I didn't receive a response. When we arrived we noticed that the phone was removed from the received so no calls could come through to the restaurant. The person who received us was incredibly rude and it was all in all an awful experience. I'd much rather go to Hazelwood or Sarabah where dogs are always welcome and the service is excellent.

I do love this place. I visited 4times and it is one of my favourite place to go in Tamborine. However I can feel the service is getting worse, when we did our tasting, the staff was very rushing -it is obvious because she was doing wine tasting for 5tables at the same time- and gave us very short explanation. Not professional at all. I do know its family business and weekend is busy time for them but it can't be an excuse of poor service or unprofessional. Please think what is the most important thing in Winery. If people only wanna have a bottle of nice wine they go bottle shop, not Winery. I wish next time I visit it could be better !
