If you want to get away from the busy ends of the Gold Coast, come down to Nobbys Surf Beach in Miami. Thereโ€™s plenty of places to eat locally and the beach is stunning.

Nobby Beach is a small pocket in the Mermaid Beach area of the Gold Coast shoreline, itโ€™s Between two fairly high populated beach zones (Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads ). Itโ€™s a low rise zoned area with minimal apartments going higher than around 8 levels (few of them), a local community of permanent residents and during holiday season youโ€™ll see families creating memories here. Thank goodness we donโ€™t experience as much of the drunken nightlife as the more populated areas of the Gold Coast, although, over the past 3 years or so weโ€™ve seen the local off street shops accomodating new young adults taking their alcoholic rights of passage at a few new additions of bars that have sprouted up! All in all, itโ€™s a settled area that accommodates anyone, who gravitates towards a slower paced environment, minimal to moderate traffic (except for the Gold Coast Highway) which isnโ€™t a huge bother throughout the week weekdays and off peak season - peak season is still still pleasant as far as crowds are concerned My in-laws purchased a unit here in the 80โ€™s, a modest 2 bedroom unit, nothing flask like some more updated apartments here โ€ฆ. but the fact that we can spend a lot of time here (weekends or weeks at a time) from the ever increasing population of Brisbane City, is enough for us! Hubby & I are in our own bubble without the chaos like some of the other coastline suburbs ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ‘ฌ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿถ

Life Saver Beach Patrolled Great little beach away from Surfers Paradise. Sqeaky white sandy beach. Shower near the stairwell which is handy to wash off the sand. Overhead Shower and lower tap for feet. Stairs or vehicle ramp access No dogs allowed TIP Arrive before 8:30am to secure parking, like anywhere along the Gold Coast, parking is limited. WHAT TO PACK? Body/boogy board Togs 2 Towels (One to lie on and one to dry yourself) Bottle water Sunscreen Zinc Hat Goggles (if you dislike salt water)

Nobbys beach is a beautiful spot, it has a bit of everything in regards to dining and a beautiful beach. Great restaurants and bars with beachside balconies to enjoy a refreshing drink. The location is excellent, best spot on the Goldy by far being right between Broadbeach and Burleigh which allows you to easily enjoy all 3 locations.

Always parking spots, just be patient on the weekend. The hills not to far for and great view. Father's day, a pod of whales swam past (a good 15 mins of playing 200m off shore), awesome. ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿค™

One of our go to beaches, nice, big and clean beach. Good views of the headlands and surfers in the distance.

๐Ÿ‘ A lovely spot for a day at the beach. The water is calm, there's plenty of space to set up and parking is okay. My only wish is that the toilets were closer, rather than across the road in the park.
