Growing up on the Gold Coast the locals tend to avoid the tourist beaches and go less busy beaches. Miami has a beautiful beach.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Gold Coast that isn't too crowded or touristy, and a perfect spot to start our trail walk to Burleigh Head Park, that runs along the coastline. Most of the beaches including Burleigh Head is crowded and frequented by locals but this one, looks like, is always less on crowd. Although we started our trail walk from Miami Beach to the Burleigh Head National Park as we did not have much time and had to leave for Brisbane, you can start from anywhere you are comfortable walking.

Beautiful beach with good surf. Its big advantage is that is a bit of distance from Surfers Paradise giving it a more local feel than a tourist attraction. There is also a great view of the Surfers Skyline .

What's not to like?! This Gold Coast beach is like most of them simply stunning. We found it very safe to swim here with gentle waves. Beautifully warm in the middle of winter. Kids absolutely loved it there. The water is crystal clear and there is beautiful clean sand with no rubbish on the beach to see at all. This area doesn't have the high-rises of Surfers and so we found it a lot more charming and also not as full on, busy or noisy. There is a great walk you can do along the beach and up and over the headland. A truly beautiful spot, absolutely pristine and definitely worth a visit and a holiday here.

If your looking for a quieter place to spend the day try Miami Beach. Miami is never as busy as Surfers or Burleigh but the beach is just a good. Check out North Burleigh lookout for great views of Surfers skyline and Burleigh. Plenty of grassy areas to set up for the day and take in the views. Local coffee shop Piccolo Espresso, is located at the Miami Surf Club and a great place to catch up with friends for breakfast or lunch, located right on the beach.

A fine beach on the Gold Coast. FREE parking. Not many shop, cafe, food options. But in some ways this makes the area more accessible. It's a pretty exposed beach so the surf can be rolling broken waves and today was like that with a strong pull. Had to hang onto the kids a few times. There are many places to rinse off sandy feet or shower. And these facilities send a very convincing blast of water at your feet to do the job fast. Patrons are locals and holiday makers and are friendly families without any attitude (that's a good thing, in case you are uncertain).

Perfect beach!! Amazing! Long, clean. There are plenty of lifeguards, they will put signs - about water conditions, and tell you if you can swim/surf there. There is cafes, public toilets, public shower as well (near the cafe, by the campsite). Free parking, for 4 hours, and unlimited for a night. Beautiful view to Gold Coast skyscrapers. Also you can walk to the city from there - there is a path way. Good for morning run as well.

Wir haben hier auf dem Weg angehalten um ein paar Stunden Meer und Strand zu genießen und es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Der Strand ist sehr schön, breit und es ist auch sehr wenig los. Es gibt Lifeguards und die Wellen waren super an unserem Tag. Man hat ebenfalls einen sehr schönen Blick auf die Skyline der Goldcoast. Einziger Nachteil hier ist, dass es keinen Schatten direkt am Strand gibt. Lediglich weiter oben am Parkplatz gibt es ein paar Bäume, trotzdem absolut empfehlenswert. Auch der Lookout direkt daneben lohnt sich
